Korbua House

Located 5 minutes walk to the tourist hub of khao sanh road, also overlooks a canal with some interesting eateries and a great live music rooftop bar nearby. Amazing staff, lovely canalside restaurant bar and fresh clean facilities with the all important aircon. For the money, excellent

We spent 2 nights at Korbua. Our main goal was just to have a place to crash, as we planned to explore Bangkok most of the time. * The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They even put our names on boards, which was a nice touch. * They provided two small bottled waters every day. * The location is excellent, within walking distance of Khao San Road. * There's a cozy terrace on the ground floor with a river view – a great spot for enjoying a beer and some relaxation.

* The room had a persistent bad odor, probably due to sewer issues. * Our room had a small balcony facing the forest, but the noisy birds made it hard to sleep peacefully. Earplugs are a must. * The lack of a transparent window meant the room was quite dark, requiring the lights to be on. * The room was very cramped with no space to store backpacks, only the bed.

Very well located (5min walk from Khaosan Road -shopping/ food market). It is within 20-30min walking distance from many tourist attractions. The the canal view of the hotel was amazing we spend a lot of time watching the fishes and the lizards on the canal. There was very good daily cleaning service (waterbottles, towels provided). We asked if we can have in the room a kettle and coffee cups and they gladly accomodated our request. The hotel staff are very kind they helped us to print out our flight ticket, arranged for us taxi and also booked some tours for us. We highly recommend the hotel to all tourists who want to have a great Bangkok experience.

A few improvement points: Sustainability- There was a sign in the bathroom that towels will not be changed unless they are on the floor. We left the towels hanging every day and they were always changed. It is very hot in the hotel. No airco in the hotel except for the rooms (airco turns on only where you are in the room). Private tours: Hotel staff can arrange private tours for you, they should make it clear what is not included when they book private tour for you (entrance fees to temples, lunch, or expensive private boat to floating market if not joining a group)

Such a lovely place right next to a small klong, with a peaceful terrasse. The welcome and friendliness of the owners and staff was exceptional, with attention to detail. Coming from India, the cleanliness, hot water, good waterpressure and overall infrastructure was so nice. Good mattress and very quiet, also at night. Close to many small restaurants and many sights within short walking or taxi distance. I will be back

I liked all of it but read some negative comments about the smell in the bathroom which almost made me reconsider my choice. I feel it is important to mention that this has nothing to do with lack of infrastructure or cleanliness, and only occured during a couple of hours at night. My guess is due to the works on the klong. The Bathroom door can be closed, so there was no issue for me.

Friendly and well-run budget hotel. Ideally located in a quiet part of Banglamphu, right on a 'khlong' full of giant fishes, within walking distance of not only the hustle and bustle of Khao Sarn Road, but also Phra Arthit Pier (boarding point for the Chao Phraya River Express Boat) and Phanfa Leelard Pier (starting point for the local canal boat to Siam Square and Jim Thompson House). Korbua House has a pleasant terrace on the water, where good breakfasts are served. The service is super friendly. Our spacious room on the sixth floor (with panoramic views from the balcony) was wonderfully quiet, bright and very clean. We had a very pleasant stay and would definitely choose again for Korbua House on a next visit to Bangkok.

Some points for improvement: - the mattress was uncomfortably hard; - the sewage smell in the bathroom was quite disturbing at times; - an extra chair or clothes rack in the room would have been nice; - our hot shower was broken (and unfortunately could not be repaired during our stay), but this inconvenience was compensated by the hotel, which we really appreciated.

Loved our stay here, it's such a cool experience staying on the canal. Close to so many restaurants, and street food. The AC and WiFi worked well, loved the balcony overlooking the canal. The hotel has a nice restaurant. Checking in and out was easy. Was able to leave bags until rooms were ready- which was earlier than expected. Staff very friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, huge shower, spacious and beautiful room. Lots of space in room and bathroom to put things.

A bit of a smell, not sure if from canal or drain, maybe optional air freshener could help (ended up just getting my own, no big deal). Water pressure in shower was very low.

Great hotel and location. Right next to lively bridge, Kayy Cafe, Suraya Kitchen, and vendors even set up to the right. Khoisan Rd is 5 min walk across main the street, but didn’t hear any party obnoxious noise. The canal and alleyway is kept clean (very nice)! Walked to many of the landmark temples in Bangkok within 15-20 minutes. Not that far really, and worth it to pass by many street food vendors, mini temples, quaint small lane alley along the way. Glad to see Bangkok cleaned up. As for the Hotel staff - arrival was met by a friendly staff (Nuth?), the barman is nice/attentive, and all the staff during day were very lovely and kind. Awesome lobby with canal view, chairs/tables to chill, drink coffee and watch the day starts. All around a very good stay! No prob staying here next time I’m in Bangkok.

The location was a great immersion into the life of Bangkok without being too overwhelming. Plus it's really close to a few dispensaries which was a cheeky bonus 😉 The staff were amazing, especially the lady receptionist who really helped me out with everything from the moment I checked in and the other receptionist for a taxi order. The cleaning staff are awesome too. It's nice to sit on the balcony with the view of the canal and the fish and watching people have lovely romantic moments on the bridge while scooters whizz past. Breakfast was a good choice, quite popular too.

The hotel's location is perfect - just a 2 minute walk from Khaosan Road but in a quiet side street. You can just pass time having refreshments at the lobby with its outdoor dining area beside a klong. The room I stayed in was just the right size for a single traveler and it has a balcony right above the klong. You get to the hotel through a side street that leads to a walking bridge over the klong. There are some cafes and shops, and food stalls in this quiet street where people on their way to work or living in the area eat. The atmosphere in this part of town makes you feel like you have immersed well into Bangkokian life even if your stay is only for a few days. The hotel staff were quite helpful with arranging for a ride to the airport. I will stay here again when I'm back in Bangkok!

Only a small thing, but there was a chip in the very stylish sink. No food available on the evening we wanted to eat there, but very close to several places to eat, so no big deal. Taxis can't access the hotel due to roadworks and it being down a lane, might be off-putting to first time visitors. .............. ............. ........... ............. .......... .................. .........,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,.......
