Tara Place Hotel Bangkok

Very nice staf and helpfull staff, clean rooms, they have snacks for free at the entrance.

Very poor breakfast served by a restaurant across the street. Food is a la carte, the portions are very small and you have to pay extra if you wanna order anything else. They offer orange juice, but the amount very small (around 50 mililiters). You will certainly leave the breakfast hungry. We also ordered fried eggs, but the egg white was not cooked. It is a nice hotel, with good value for the money, but improvment on the breakfast should be made.

I had a wonderful stay at the Tara Place Hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the room was clean and comfortable. The location was great - it was in a quiet area, but close to all the attractions I wanted to see. The amenities were also great - 24 hour security, free water, a fridge, air conditioning, and a nice terrace upstairs. There was also a great massage place across the street with very reasonable prices. On top of that, the hotel offered complimentary tea and coffee at reception. All in all, it was a great stay, and I will definitely be coming back next year. Highly recommend! The hotel is well located for Khao San Road and surroundings and The Grand Palace and What Pho. There is a bus stop across the road which we used to get to Chatuchak market and taxis and tuktuks are readily available from the main road or opposite Khao San Road. The Reception staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We were given two rooms with an interconnecting door for our family of 5. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms adequate sizes with working showers and toilets. Rooms were quiet and came with a safe in each. On our last day we were also able to store our bags securely as we had a night flight. The Reception team also helped us to order a taxi to the airport. Across the road from Tara Place is Seb's Place which was good for a quick breakfast or if you continue down Soi Samsen 6 and then turn right along one of the roads off this you will stumble across some other lovely restaurants, quietly positioned away from the noise of Khao San and the main road. All serving drinks and excellent food and all with lovely, friendly staff. We ate at the Corner Bar over a couple of evenings and sat outside to enjoy the colourful lights and watch the bats once dusk began. Overall, we were pleased with this hotel and would recommend it for any short stay in Bangkok.

Clean, great location and very nice staff. Offering tea, coffee and sweets 24/7 complementary. Very good value for the money, I recommend it.

Although the room’s very well isolated, it’s just a little bit noisy from the outside road. It wasn’t disturbing for me at all personally.

loved the charm of this small place. it is so close to one of bkk’s many old streets where you will see so many happy vendors who loved saying hello to our little kids.. food options are amazing! we didn’t need to go to malls or restaurants just to get food, soon as u step outside of Tara you will be greeted by traditional real thai cuisine— this is what we loved the most about this place!

the shower we had was not powerful enough. also the beds and pillows were very stiff. staffs are quite nice but one of the guards wasn’t as welcoming as the other.

I have no complaints whatsoever. We had a good and quite big room. Clean and spacious. In the lobby you can get yourself coffee or tea free of charge, also some little snacks. Staff was friendly, location top!

I am sorry that I have to deduct two points, since 1) the hallway has no carpet, therefore it can be pretty loud when guests (drunk/and or late) come back 2) Doors close and that gets pretty loud. So I woke up several of times bc of the noise of other guests, which isn’t the hotels fault but I think a carpet would dim the noise.

Excellent location in the center of Bangkok near the backpacker area with lots of restaurants and cafes around. The staff were friendly and helped us to extend the stay. The hotel room is spacious, very clean and fairly modern with good air con, fridge, TV, drinking water and toiletries which was everything we needed. The bed was large, soft and comfortable so we slept well and the hotel was quiet despite being in a main busy area. The room was cleaned every day. Good value for money, would recommend!

The shower leaked onto the bathroom floor as the shower door isn't tight. There is only a small window overlooking a wall so the room was enclosed and dark. The room smelt a little musty and damp.

Location is great eateries nearby, 7/11 and a few minutes walk to khao san road. Room is clean, housekeeper checks daily if you need cleaning. Staff are friendly and helpful. Front desk speaks english. Free coffee/snacks at the lobby 24/7, two bottled water daily…shampoo and shower gels too. Daily scheduled trips to grand palace or khao san road at no cost. Will arrange in getting you transportation to the airport when you check out.

There is no minibar as advertised. So stock up on drinks/food. Bed is not the softest but not really that bad. Power outlets not in the most convenient location. Just bring longer charging cables.

It is an excellent location for those trying to explore the temples and Old Bangkok. It is 10 minutes from Khaosan Road, 25 minutes away from the Grand Palace and Wat Po and a 31-minute walk from Wat Arun. The bedrooms are nice and simple, and you get what you pay for. The AC worked perfectly, they provide you with two bottles of water per day and you have housekeeping service available every day.

I think everything was fine. I saw some comments regarding the mattress, and while I wouldn't say is the comfiest one, is not uncomfortable and it works perfectly for a short stay.
