Prince Palace Hotel Bangkok - SHA Extra Plus

The hotel has charm! The big halls and old architecture is very well preserved. The swimming pool zone is amazing with a good vibe and great view. We had lucky with our studio, that had a amazing view from the big windows in the room.

They could modernize some details. Our bed was sliding because the wheels were old and couldnt be properly stopped.

Located close to town, about 20 minutes with cab. Downloaded the taxi app "Grab" have very competitive rates rather than using the hotel concierge who had at times charged us extortionate rates. Also downloaded the Airalo ecard bought from airport very useful for using the taxi service in and around Thailand.

The hotel concierge charging us extortionate rates for a people carrier for 6 people. They quoted us 600 bhat for a fare, which we got for 300 bhat using the Grab app. You need to have an idea of how much taxis charge so you don't get ripped off.

Well ...the hotel so beautiful , the hotel is near by everywhere including shopping mall and shops

The room cleaner was stole our phone charger in bag we keep ...very bad attitude when people not around they take away our charger..it's so expensive also .

Location was great, close to the main tourist attractions especially the old town. Further on the house has two outdoor pools with a phantastic view - even more stunning at night. The breakfast buffet is outstanding, providing the best of european and asian cuisine.

The prices at their Restaurants were far above standard of the areas around and especially, If you pay around 3 times more for a dinner, you expect the service staff to be attentive and helpful, rather than talking zo each other or being on their phones.

Breakfast was extra but it was very cheap so we added it to our stay, I was pleasantly surprised when I got there as they catered for both locals and European people. So you could be adventurous or safe with your food which would be great if there was a few of you with different tastes . I really couldn’t fault it.

Other than maybe being a bit mor central and the decor a little off in our room but of course that’s always a personal thing nothing to fault.

Fantastic staff. Excellent location. The massage in the spa is highly-recommended. Breakfast was not varied, and repeated, but taste-wise was ok. Rooms are very nice but also very dated and the age and wear and tear is beginning to show. Value for money!

So far, everything was good. The man at front desk is helpful though he might not look like the smiley person (lol). Breakfast was great. The room is clean and neat. Noise was temporary as people from next door came to their rooms (which is next to us)...... but it was just few seconds happened as the noise would faded away when they enter their rooms. For me, it is normal.... Overall, although the building (tower C, we occupied) might looks old.....but it is still great

To all staffs..... please wear your best smiles (lol). I found out that the language was the barrier to interact ......

The Location is very good. The ground floor is a clothing market, a few meters away is a fruit market. It is a busy location. Very big hotel. The family room is very spacious. Breakfast is nice and so many choices. On our room we had a nice view of Bangkok.

It‘s an old hotel. Cabinets and furnitures needs upgrading. There aren‘t a lot of amenities offered. We have a kitchen but no utensils or plates available.

The hotel was perfect for location, I really enjoyed the local market and the amazing swimming pool over looking the city.

I would have gave it a 10 but unfortunately alot of the light within our room didn't work. Apart from this the hotel was perfect and would definitely recommend.

Polite staff defines the city for me and it was great. Everyone was smiling and greeting you all the time. Felt safe and Enjoyed the old look of the hotel.

The property is slightly far away from the metro. Few things needs to be updated as it is quiet old hotel.
