the room and the pool is amazing

People are allowed to smoke in the pool and common areas. Ashtrays for all over the place so it has a very strong smell of cigarette. if you dont like cigarette just like you are better of finding another place to stay

Overall impression of hotel is really modern appealing layout with 3 storey high lobby connected with pool on 1st floor and restaurant on ground floor. Pool is really refreshing in the shadow from the tree and rest of the hotel. Breakfast was little too few choices (sandwich, salad or rice) and it was only a la carte, served with fruits and some kind of dessert. Only possibility was coffee, no tea. Rooms are spacious and really clean, air conditioning was working ok, maybe bit tot loud. The location is really close to khao san road, but to grand palace and other wats we had to take taxi.

Breakfast should have more options

Lovely staff, particularly the lady who services the rooms on the 4th floor - she’s so thoughtful! Large, comfortable rooms and a gorgeous pool. Fridge in the room is good and there is a 7Eleven a minute’s walk away.

Lots of facilities are unavailable. The restaurant only serves breakfast, there’s no bar, no room service, no air-conditioned area to congregate or work and no free tuktuk. There is a small gym but they don’t turn the aircon on early enough so at 7.30am it was too hot to workout. The location is good for historical sites and Khao san road but not great for the MRT. WiFi is a bit patchy

I was especially fond of the staff. Despite some initial lack of communication I found everyone in the hotel from the housekeeping, restaurant to front desk extremely courteous, kind and accommodating. Anything I needed help with, they provided. In terms of the location I wouldn't recommend it for first timers as major sights are far but if you can walk or share tuk tuk then it doesn't matter. But I personally love the area and its vibe as well as the proximity to little local cafes and restaurants, unusual temples and sights. It's a representation of the true Thai ambience. I really liked the design of the hotel too. The breakfast looked disappointing on the menu but after giving it a try it was some of the best brekkies I've ever had on my travels. So beautifully arranged and prepared with love.

The major flaw of this hotel is aircon. Some people mentioned it's loud but that's totally not what I found problematic. What I couldn't bear was the fact that you couldn't control the air con remotely. I got very sick and had to spend most of the time in bed. Not so great when you have to get up multiple times back and forth especially if your temperature changes all the time. I probably wouldn't stay again because of this. It really does influence your ability to rest.

Nice accommodation if you are arriving in Bangkok and going to travel. Has basic but good facilities. Nice, firm, mattresses. Good pool. Breakfast is limited in choice but sufficient, also given to cost ratio. The hotel is properly situated. Walking distance to the neighborhood of Khao San. If it’s your first encounter with Thailand, it is particularly nice strolling through the alleys behind the hotel to get a glimpse of how locals live.

What disturbs, is the extreme noisy airconditioning in the hotel rooms. It is if there is a jet engine next to your bed. If you are a good sleeper or if you don’t mind using ear plugs, its not a big problem. Otherwise consider..

The hotel has very pretty design ( a little bit colonial style), the swimming pool is amazing, staff was very nice and cleaning exceptional. Room was big and very comfortable, you can find there slippers, robe etc. Breakfast very very tasty and nicely presented ( You have tea or coffee, orange juice, bowl of fresh fruits and one main dish to choose). Location is also good-you can reach a lot of places in a walkable distance.

It was really close to Kao San Road and lots happening around. It was a good location but not amongst the complete chaos. The coffee shop on the corner did the BEST ice coffee and we went there every morning. Laundry service close by and great eats around the area. The pool was a lovely retreat and the room were large. Air con was great too.

It was all fabulous except the beds are a bit hard!! Nothing to worry much about though.

Pool was lovely, a great way to unwind after a sweaty walk through Thailand. The location we enjoyed as it wasn’t close to other hotels and gave you a glimpse of the real backstreet Bangkok way of life. There were some nice little places close by to eat. The 7-11 next door made life easy! The staff were also very nice and helpful.

Nothing ! If you want to be directly in the action of tourist life in Bangkok, then probably best to pick another hotel.

It’s a very unique building, full of history. We liked the decor and fully enjoyed the suite. 7 eleven is literally a min away for anything you need. Staff were very kind and gave us a lot of help when we needed. it’s clean, mixture of old and new, I wouldn’t mind going back at all to the suite. The restaurant is only open for breakfast and doesn’t serve lunch and dinner. we didn’t get to use the breakfast facility but enjoyed Nespresso coffee.

I wouldn’t say I didn’t like it but it’s around 10-15min walk to Khaosan road. We had a small child so it was perfect for us away from the noisy area.

I loved the interior of the hotel -- i loved the wood flooring, the spacious bedroom, and the quiet. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The hotel s located close to the venue of my meeting!

I wish the lighting in the room were a little brighter. I came to Bkk for work and I would have liked better lighting. There were not nearby restaurants or cafes. I can live with these inconveniences. I would choose this hotel when I come to Bangkok for my next meeting!
