Gorrion Hotel Istanbul

The staff had a good attitude. Early check-in time was great. I had booked three rooms and requested that the rooms be close to each other, which was done. The extra bed was ready quickly. Parking security was acceptable.

The Wi-Fi speed was really low and did not have the required quality at all. During the daily cleaning, they mistakenly took the medicine pill from the room. The extra blankets they brought were dirty and stained.

Worth every cent;; Breakfast nice indoor and outdoor tables, excellent food choice, large, clean well organized SPA, very spacious rooms (connected family rooms are huge, biggest I ever sow in Turkey) very cosy, nice furniture all stylish and new. The view from rooms was very nice (large windows). Indeed this is a 5 stars hotel and if it was in center in turistic area like Taksim or Sultanahmet would be easy double or more the price. All the staff where very professional, helpful, polite. We got very early check in without any problem or extra pay.

Location is not great, public transport is poor no metro line yet, only taxi and bus but traffic can be horrible at rush time.. Not so many malls near by Istanbul Mall is nice but far, I would recommend Starcity outlet 10 min from Hotel nice place.

The service , I called the reception 4 times to get my room water I tried to talk with the duty manager and he refused to talk with me

The hotel in general is satisfactory and its facilities are quite good. The night shift manager was a courteous and helpful man, he is serving the guests as best he could. There is a person named Zakaria who is also a good person too.

Getting to the hotel from the main street is not easy There is no toilet hand sprayer The shower area in the family corner rooms does not hold water in, the water was going out to the outside handwasher.

I had a wonderful stay at Gorrion Hotel in Istanbul. The facilities were comfortable and the location was ideal for exploring the city. Special thanks to Inci at reception for her exceptional hospitality and assistance during my visit. Her attention to detail and warm welcome made my experience truly memorable. Highly recommended!

The hotel was very good, very clean and nice. Unfortunately the swimming pool was closed to maintenance, but this was not mentioned on the website before we booked. We ordered couple of times breakfast inside room, as room service, but every time there was something missing, which lead us to call the reception maybe 4x times in the morning because of this. It caused some frustration every time we order breakfast, and this was really they only lack we had during our stay. The rooms were very clean, and this Hotel did provide also extra beds/ baby cots free of charge for the kids, and that is why we chose this hotel as 5-star. Despite the breakfast lack, we will definitely stay here again.

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was very clean. Although breakfast wasn't the buffet shown on the website, but a checklist menu, the food was fresh and ample. The restaurant is very good value for money and the food delicious. An excellent hotel if your stay is for business purposes or a cosmetic surgery tourist. The closest airport is Ataturk, visible on the horizon and to which the hotel provides a free shuttle service. An excellent, clean and good value for money hotel if tourist attractions are not your priority.

The hotel is situated too far from the centre of Istanbul if you are going for the tourist attractions. Starcity Outlet is the closest shopping mall, about 25 minutes walk away. The Eskidiji Bazaar, 5 minutes walk away, is disappointing if you want to look at anything more than furniture and lighting. If you ask for a balcony room make sure it is one of the South facing ones and that North or South facing, you are happy for half of your view to be blocked. The best views are to be had are from the rooms without balconies as they have room height windows. Views are cityscapes, not landscapes but there were some tantalisingly beautiful sunrises and sunsets, which from my North facing room, I could only try to imagine.

Staff were great, very professional. It was cleaned often, and if we needed anything we could call reception 24/7.

Someone ate our expensive, fresh turkish delight. We complained and was compensated with Turkish tea and some of the hotel turkish delight. It was nice they compensated us. Some hand-wash would have been nice though. Not a fan of blinds for the bathroom since I was staying with my brother and sister. Was awkward.

The hotel rooms are very clean and maintained well on daily base.
