great location,ask staff for the back door access

overall was a great experience,I will stay again ,the only concern about the breakfast buffet they should do more options.

The location was great! just 5 minutes to the confusing world of restaurants :)) Near to many landmarks. The reception staffs were great, especially Mr. Mohammad who was very helpful and kind. Although the hotel's building was a bit old, the cleanliness was good. The Breakfast variety and quality were good enough for a 4-star hotel. The breakfast was served in a saloon with a very beautiful view of the Marmara sea.

Although I booked the standard room, I think the size of the bed and the room, was very small.

The room was beautiful The front office manager was lovely Beds comfy WiFi was great Room service was great

I unfortunately dealt with rude staff before coming to stay. I had to send 15 emails before I got a reply. All I asked was 2 simple questions They refused to organize a shuttle from the airport to the hotel for me. Customer service BEFORE someone stays needs to be improved. This is the ONLY reason it’s marked down

the staff were not quite clued up with the marathon event taking place in their own city . also struggled to speak English . I have stayed at Kalyon quite a few times , I would think that in the modern era the owners would at least invest in smart TV’s . to this end , some of the male staff in the restaurant are rather abrasive.

Excellent large room with a large comfortable bed, well appointed shower room and a sea view. Huge choice for breakfast and the bar staff were very helpful, we really enjoyed sitting on the terrace with a beer watching the boats and traffic passing by. The reception staff were were friendly and helpful and the airport transfer was well organised and definitely worth the cost. The back gate of the hotel took us straight to the old town with a 5 minute walk to the Arasta Bazaar and Blue Mosque.

Would have been nice to have a mirror in the bedroom, but that's a very minor point

Perfect location,big room this time.

The staff is note friendly anymore like years ago. Truck exhibition at the parking ,full of cars and no possible to park one of 3 nights. The rooms NEEDS renovation, old furniture and badroom,poor breakfast......

This is surely an excellent hotel and we enjoyed every minute spent there. There are too many spectacular points to mention, but it is a very modern hotel with a very posh nature and modern, chic décor in the Old City very close to the Blue Mosque and the centre. The sea view from the hotel room and the restaurant is quite spectacular and the wifi speed is good and never dropped once and it is possible to stay online for the entire day. The staff are extremely posh and dressed in suits and business attire, the reception is spacious and full of plenty of modern sofas and seating areas and not so cramped as some of the other traditional hotels in the Old City. Breakfast buffet is good, our room was spacious and had an excellent sea view so loved every bit of our stay from check-in to departure - all very business like.

I couldn't fault it, but my wife had a little moan about the time it took the get the iron board and iron - not too big of a deal.

I stayed in Kalyon with my friend over the weekend and we can only recommend the hotel. When the overall experience was great, I still would like to give a special shout-out to Semanur Unat and Fidan Havare. The comfort that they graciously provided us with was just outstanding. Going the extra mile for a customer, lovely ever-lasting smiles, thoughtful recommendations. I trust the management of Kalyon recognizes the impeccable service of these ladies.

Only one note that we would like to add as room for improvement: the restaurant. The breakfast can definitely be upgraded with a fresher and better quality assortment. Other than that: extra happy :)

Location is excellent. There are a lot of restaurants at the street behind the hotel. The view of Bosphorus Strait is fantastic. I definitely recommend this hotel to every friend.

We booked three rooms. One room had electricity issue. My family members spent the first night uncomfortable because the AC was not working. The hotel should have done the repairs before putting guests in. :(
