Everything went well. My room was great, above the street but that went quiet at an acceptable time and the double glazing helped. It was 5 degrees outside but I didn't need the heating on at all. Plenty of very hot water and the bathroom was very clean. The bed was comfortable and I didn't hear other guests throughout the night. A few inconsiderate Man Utd supporters in the early hours didn't spoil things. Breakfast was fantastic. I like to sample local cuisine and this was. More than enough food and the tea/coffee were never ending. The location couldn't have been better. About 100m from the Sultan Ahmed Mosque (Blue Mosque) and the Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Pakace and Spice Bazaar are well within walking distance. The manager was very friendly and informative. Perhaps one of the most interesting things is that complimentary tea/coffee/ local biscuits are served in the afternoon/evening in a small extension which was apparently a tunnel into the mosque grounds.

Nothing as far as I was concerned. I own a property in the UK and you are never going to please everbody. Some people will complain about the smallest thing, so I look at all reviews as opposed to looking at the odd person who moans. The Novano definitely lived up to it's rating. Note a complaint at all but prepared to be invited into every restaurant within walking distance. I consented and the food was sooo nice!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Novano and overall, it was a delightful experience. The hotel's location was fantastic, providing easy access to various attractions and amenities in the area. The staff at Hotel Novano were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The pickup and drop off at the airport allowed a stress free transport to and from the airport. I particularly enjoyed the lovely sitting area at the front of the hotel, which provided a great spot to relax and unwind. The staff was also very helpful in arranging last-minute tours, making my trip even more enjoyable. Close to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, less than 5-10 minute walk. The room was clean and well-maintained, offering a peaceful and quiet atmosphere for a good night's sleep. The breakfast spread had a variety of options to choose from, open buffet style. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with my stay at Hotel Novano, and I wouldn't hesitate to book a room there again.

It's worth mentioning that there was some persistent salesmanship from restaurants and shops when it came to walking around the neighborhood and the even at the nearby mosques, which could be bothersome. Nevertheless, once I learned to ignore it, everything else about my stay was excellent.

Hotel Novano is located in the Sultan Ahmet area For those who have not been to Istanbul, it is the old part of the city around the park of the same name bordered by Aya Sofia and Topcapi Palace on one side and the Blue Mosque on the other. It is an area with winding and narrow streets and buildings (renovated!) from the time of the Ottoman Empire of which the vast majority are hotels! Being practically a hotel at every step is at the same time easy and difficult to make the right choice. We managed to do it by choosing the NOVANO hotel. It is a small hotel located on one of the streets in the area that allow car access, but even so the hotel is quiet and comfortable. NOVANO is more like a boutique hotel in which a few professional people are constantly concerned with ensuring the support and comfort of tourists. I have to make a special mention on this occasion for the guys at the reception (24/24, 24/7) Kivanch and Emin who during the 9 days were a real support for a successful stay. Thanks also to the lady from the kitchen who constantly took care to have a breakfast as close as possible to what we are used to. In short: - The position is excellent a few steps from the park and the great tourist attractions of old Istanbul. The T1 tram station is on the corner of the park and from there there is a connection to everything in Istanbul (including Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazar, Marmaray, Eminonu ferry area, etc.) - The hotel is small (including rooms) but quiet, comfortable and equipped with everything you need - Breakfast is excellent - In the afternoon, daily, the hotel offers free tea, coffee, fruit and cakes in the common relaxation area. - The VIP transfer provided by the hotel to and from the airport is EXCELLENT and more convenient in price than anything you find on the net. - Last but not least, the main feature from our point of view was the constant concern we felt from the staff to maximize our comfort. A suggestion: The pillows are big and strong ... maybe a small pillow on each bed would be desirable .. There were some other aspects in ours stay that I was not at all satisfied with but not having contact with the hotel I do not think it is appropriate to mention them here

Everything was excellent!! The staff was very helpful, kind and friendly, available 24 hours. The location of the hotel was just in Sultanahmed Square, next to the big monuments of Aghia Sofia, Top Kapi Palace etc. The breakfast included had a really good buffet and we could drink tea with biscuits all day long. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Everything but mostly and mainly the personnel education and kindness. The hotel is located very close to the blue mosque, hagia sofia and top kapi palace, just a few minutes walking, but as well the sea side is very close as well. Around the hotel there are several local restaurants to try traditional Turkish food, and a couple of very nice restaurants on the terrace with an amazing view of the city. To remark is that just 20 mins away you will find "Turgut Kebab Restaurant" where although the "presentation" of the restaurant is not amazing, the food and personnel are amazing, for me, one of the best places i have ever been as the prices are correct, the attention is fantastic and food beyond impressions. In the hotel, wifi is very good and so far one of the best i have found in hotel, not even 5 stars hotels has such a good connectivity, but as well besides the breakfast which is good, at evening, you have a hall section where you can get free coffe or tea with some snack...amazing. When booking the hotel, we expected something not to much on a good level but when getting there we were surprised. Dont expect to compare it with a 5 stars hotel and its facilities, but for this stars rate hotel, it is outstanding. Totally recommendable.

actually there is nothing that i didnt like it. I have found that the hotel is a perfect place for the type of tourism we did.

We liked location a lot, right next to the mosques, museums, restaurants and other touristic stuff. The room was cleaned everyday and they also put two new bottles of water which was really nice. Price/quality is definitely there. We also liked that receptionist Kivanch who was very helpful, and booked two taxis for us and my parents from and to the airport. He also spoke Russian and that was really nice for my parents because they couldn't speak English. Any question/problem you have, you addressed to him and it will be solved very soon. He really made our stay three times better. We think he should get a salary raise for the service he provides.

We didn't like the black mold in the shower, it's very dangerous. Even though they cleaned the room everyday properly, the mold in the shower was not removed. And of course we don't blame the cleaner on that, because it has to be removed by a special person with a special liquid. The breakfast was not really good, but for the price you pay, it's expected and we didn't complain or anything like that, we just took some fruits and were fine with it. On the last day of our stay they cooked pancakes and they were good.

I really enjoyed my staying at Hotel Novano, a little gem in the historical neighbourhood of Sultanahmet. The position is perfect if you want to visit the historical city and the tram stop T1 of Sultanahmet is just 15 minutes walk. Aya Sofia and the Blue Mosque are both 10 min walk from here. The Hotel apparently seats just below a big terrace that once was part of the Great Palace of the Roman emperors and you can still see this terrace from the stairs that connects the rooms. The rooms are nice and cozy: thanks to Asuman and Gülten, two lovely ladies, my room was always clean and tidy. The breakfast is abundant and there is a good variety of savoury and sweet: from eggs and omelettes, vegetables and cheese to jam, bread and yoghurt and biscuits. I started my day with Turkish coffee, served every morning by nice and smiling Habibe. The hotel can provide you a service of transfer from and to the airports of the city and a service of laundry that you can pay at the reception. The guys at the reception, David and Turan, were very friendly and welcoming: David tried always to meet our needs and was very useful to provide us some basic information. I am really grateful to the staff for their great job and their support. Novano Hotel is also providing some tea and biscuits for his guests during all afternoon and evening, till midnight. And a Turkish chay is always something special after a long day in Istanbul. Teşekkür ederim

I cannot find negative aspects as my stay was very positive.

The room was very beautiful, we really liked this design. It looked so Turkish but not overdecorated. The cleanliness was perfect, our room was cleaned up every day, we got new towels, bathroom facilities and free bottled water daily, etc. Staff was very kind, polite and helpful from the kitchen lady to the receptionists. And don't forget the location, just near Sultanahmet Square, there are many restaurants and shoping possibilities nearby, and the neighbourhood had an atmosphere we liked. Breakfast was also good, varied and tasty. And it was nice to have some free cookies and tea in the hall in the evenings after getting home to the hotel. :)

I can't say any bad to the hotel, because the big picture is we had such a lovely time there.

We have rented a total of four rooms for a group of friends for Istanbul visit. Hotel's location is great and proximal to main historical attractions and the tram. But who truly makes the difference is friendly and extremely helpful staff. Turan and Kivanch made this hotel our home away from home and helped us with all our arrangements from taxis to hamam. Breakfast is very tasty, beds are very comfortable, housekeeping is immaculate. Truly a rare find in the sea of modern faceless hotels. Hotel made our visit to Istanbul much more enjoyable and memorable.

The location of the hotel right at the heart of Istanbul tourist attraction made it as simple as taking a stroll to reach Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia , Topeka Palace. The breakfast was a delightful selection of cuisines. But the critical factor was friendly and helpful staff, they made all the difference. Especially Kivanch (at reception) is a gem of a person ... ever earnest and helpful

Room size were bit small but if you are not finicky then you would not see that as a hurdle. Plus we had taken the smaller cheaper option so who am I to complain :-)
