We had such a special stay at Ferman Konak Hotel. The staff were lovely - so kind, friendly, and really went out of their way to help us, even accommodating my request of decorating the room to celebrate a special occasion. The room was perfect with a very comfortable bed, all possible necessary amenities (we were very grateful to the free hot drinks and water in the lobby), and a very clean bathroom. Quiet, even though it was in the heart of Fatih and a great location for exploring Istanbul. We found parking easily on the nearby side streets.

Everything was perfect! (although the stairs to the room were quite steep - maybe something to note if you have mobility issues!)

The hotel staff are all super friendly and helpful, especially a BIG thank you to Latif, who even helped planned our Istanbul itinerary. Our room is also very clean. Bed is comfortable and shower has good pressure and hot water. The hotel is located behind the busy street crowded with bustling restaurants and big buses. Convenient yet tranquil! Although there is no breakfast at Ferman Konak, Latif would tell you that with extra 5 euros, you can go to the sister Ferman Hotel behind to enjoy a great breakfast with an amazing view of Istanbul! We extended our stay from 3 to 7 days. Truly magnificent, will definitely go back again. Highly recommended!

Footstep noises from thin walls (above neighbors) and the road alley for trucks behind, coupled with the dogs residing there, is the only downside because of the noise. During the day, the noises are not disrupting and we're out mostly, but can be clearer at night. One night we couldn't sleep because the dogs were fighting and howling and people are chatting downstairs. Would not change my mind of returning to Ferman Konak, hopefully the road is gone in coming years.

Loved the staff. Especially Mr. Latif was very friendly and helped us with useful information. He went far and beyond to meet our needs. The rooms were clean. The hotel location is close to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque but a bit far from public transport like trams and the ferry. The breakfast at their sister hotel (situated at the back of the hotel - 3 mins walk) was excellent - cost us 5 Euro per person.

The fixtures shows the age, requires repairs. Bathroom needs hooks for hanging clothes. Could use some basic amenities like iron.

Everything was perfect! Very Clean, comfortable bed, very friendly/ helpful staff, great location. I like that the room had hard wood floors instead of carpeting. The outdoor garden area is great, you can sit anytime of day/ night and enjoy free teas/ coffees. There is also a kitchenette there if needed. You can choose to enjoy breakfast buffet between 7:30-10:00am on the terrace of their sister hotel ( 1 min walk) for 5 euro per person. Great view! Hayasofia, Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace, local Bazaar and Tram station all at walking distance ( 10 mins)

Thin walls, we could hear other guests but our room was one of the two rooms situated in the lobby area so I believe this wouldn't be an issue for the rest of the rooms upstairs.

What a joy of a place! Since the first moment that I booked, the communication was fluid and extremely helpful. They arranged the pick up from the airport and we arrived safely and quickly. The room is very nice and comfortable. Not very big but you can move around fine. I wanted a little desk to do some work and it had everything I needed. The bed was comfy, the bathroom very practical, the temperature was adequate and the best was Latif's attention. He was ensuring every day we got the best of our trip. Thanks for the amazing hospitality!

We loved our stay. We even said we didn't need housekeeping every day but found out they came anyway :) The fact that the breakfast was in their 'sister' hotel was actually nice, since we got to enjoy the amazing views they have there and the crazy buffet (for 5 euros extra) so it was worth every penny!

The hotel staff made my friends and I feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. They were very helpful, especially the receptionists Emirhan and his other colleague. They helped book our taxis into town and to the airport and went beyond what was expected of them to provide items we requested to make our experience staying at the hotel even more comfortable. They were very friendly and helped us with directions and also recommended the best places to visit and dine during our time in Turkey, which added to the memories we have of our stay there. I would definitely book with them again :)

I would have much preferred if the smoking cigarettes was prohibited indoors.

The location of the hotel is perfect for sightseeing, shopping, dining. The room had one double bed and 2 bunk beds, which was more than enough for our family (we have 3 kids). The most amazing thing was the service - every staff member was so polite and welcoming that we felt like we were the most precious guests in the world! One day it was rainy and they gave us umbrellas at the exit :) There was water, tea, coffee and other hot drinks always available for free.

No parking was available and it was not an easy task to find one nearby, but we succeeded to find one against additional payment.

The location of this hotel is perfect, away from the busy traffic but just 10 minutes away from the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Around the corner are plenty good restaurants with good prices (and excellent food) as well as 2 small mini markets. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel. Also water / tea / coffee are always free of charge. It is very clean.

It is built in wood so sometimes it gets a bit noisy with other guests. Not very soundproof for those who have light sleep.

Location was good, value for money

I did ask for a better room and they recommend tbe basement and it had no windows so would opt for a window room. Asked the staff to recommend and happy to pay and they said basement... staff could know more about how to travel around as asked them about trams etc but they had limited knowledge. Didn't allow late checkout at 3pm as we arrived at 3am and had paid for the night, which was surprising
