The hotel is excellently located and perfect for all the historical places in the city.

The staff are extremely helpful and during our 6 days stay at the hotel, it felt like home. We knew staff by name. Elif stands out as a star. She helped us around for all our bookings and advised us on places to dine, places to see and also was conscious to advise us of the most economical way to get around. Orhan, at the reception was helpful and ensured that we had a good stay. Sadek and Hamza, assisted us immensely with our daily routine work. The weather was pretty hot, so the location helped. We had the Metro close by so we made it to other areas of Istanbul very easily.

Great location, surrounded by bars and restaurants, a short walk to the tourist attractions (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace) or to the Bosphorus where you can enjoy a stroll along the shore away from most of the intense traffic. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, especially Cengiz and Dilik who went above the expected level of service. Also, specials praise to Jan in the restaurant, a real credit to the hotel due to his charm and professionalism.

The hotel is old and in need of renovation. The room was clean but shabby with paint flaking off the walls and electrical sockets hanging off their fastenings. The restaurant is inexpensive with a wonderful view of the sea, however, most guests smoked and the cigarette fumes were very off putting.

I really liked Avicenna hotel. They gave me a better room than I booked, large, with a balcony and a beautiful view. The staff was very polite, special thanks to Muhammed, Ece, Ahmet, Kazim🙏🏻😊they always helped me. The room was cleaned every day, it was quiet, I slept like an angel. I came for work, but also for a walk. All attractions are within walking distance. There is a restaurant on the terrace with sea views and delicious food. I am very pleased, I will come here again!!!

Avicenna Hotel is a very beautiful hotel, with a fascinating view of the Marmara sea, Perfect spot, great staff, well designed and kept clean and tidy !! I loved staying in the hotel. Its very close to Sultanahmet mosque, Hagasofia, Topkapi palace, grand bazar. The neighborhood has a very historic, yet modern design. Many restaurants around the place. The breakfast in the hotel is very tasty and rich with all kinds of cheese and cooked meals. I strongly recommend booking the hotel for a glamorous stay in Istanbul. Special thanks to the staff: the manager Elive, the special receptionist Serhat uysal, and the great guy who helped us along - yosuf.

Nicely renovated rooms. Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent location in Sultanahmet. Good variety of restaurants within walking distance.

Elegance rooms were a bit on the small side despite being more expensive than the standard rooms. The breakfast variety was a bit stale.

The location is good, stuff is ok, but we have to carry our heavy luggage as a taxi driver got stuck in the traffic and suggested that we walk as "your hotel is just 3 min walk" But the street was so narrow that it was challenging to carry our luggage. The most enjoyable was the view and breakfast.

A party upstairs in the evening until late at night, as we walked a lot and just wanted to have a rest.

Room is a sufficient size, bed and pillow were comfortable, room internet was mostly good, Turkish style breakfast was very good, Location is good being a short walk to the pink mosque, Joseph was very helpful and patient helping me understand Turkish instructions to pick up my hire car, laundry situated directly opposite. It's a 10 minute walk to the nearest tram stop but from there you can go anywhere.

Loved the way that staff handled requests. PCR tests available and airport shuttles too. Amazing location which you can find alot of attractions very close by. Some really good restaurants near by.

Not a fan of having to 'refresh' cards everyday. Heating is not adjustable so room got hot in the night. Kettle provided but no tea or coffee to use with it. Prohibited from bringing outside food so limited to items of food available at the hotel.

We had a fantastic time and experience. The staff and service provided was fantastic and the breakfasts were tasty, delicious and much appreciated. The staff were always around to help and support and it made our stay pleasant and positive.

The staff were fabulous. Elif at tour desk was exceptional. She gave us excellent advice daily. Reception staff were also friendly and helpful. We were spoilt.

It isn’t new so one can expect amenities to be less than perfect but we were fine.
