Central location to shopping and tourist spots with the tram. The staff, hotel and morning breakfast room with a view of the city are great. The staff here goes out of the way to help you. The 4pm to 6pm tea service in the lobby is excellent. Great cookies, snacks all fresh and tea/coffee/water. You are a 15 minute walk from the cruise port and all the high end stores for shopping and food. Excellent access to the tram to bring you to all the sites. Dirt cheap fares just 1 stop to the river and fish for lunch or 5 stops to the blue mosque. At the bottom of the hill is a a hamam Try a Bath! and if you go to the right are all the local great dining at half the price of the cruise port. Lots of hiking stores for shopping on the right. At the top of hill from the hotel is a death vertical walk if you can make it. But we took tram one stop to access via the "TUNNEL entrance" fernicaular on both ends of the tram is the HIGH Street with 100's of retail stores and a ton of great cheap food. The standard suites are fantastic but friends got the luxury suite 41. Great if you are hosting a group or money no object, the biggest room I have seen in a hotel with two outdoor patios. A great party room to accommodate a group of 20 friends if they visit. The modern museum is down the hill.

If you are older and have mobility issues do not stay at this hotel, If you are younger and can walk up a vertical incline of a city block then great hotel. Its on a dead end street. You will be dropped off with your suitcases a city block away and have to drag up a vertical slope. NO car access from the top of the main high street and you have to walk down a vertical steep drop. Again if your young no problem, over 65 and you can expect to fall and get hurt. The issues with this central location is the dead end road to access the hotel on a slope is closed with crash guards. NO car can up to the hotel easily. IF after 7pm absolutely forget it. And if during the day when you return from being in the city all day it can be an ordeal to get the police to drop the barrier.

Outstanding service from Sinan, Fuat and their respective teams at Tom Tom Suites. Sinan was able to arrange a last minute spot for us at a fully booked hammam and that is only one example of his warm hospitality during our stay. Fuat ensured we were well caffeinated and well fed each morning at the restaurant. As other guests have noted, the breakfast is incredible, the best I've had at any hotel. You'll need a multiple day stay to try everything :) Do not miss the afternoon tea and freshly baked cookies in the library. Finally, our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The fluffy robes and slippers were welcome additions after a long day of travel. I will be recommending Tom Tom Suites to anyone visiting Istanbul in the future. Absolutely exceptional experience!

I do not fault the hotel for this but the guests in the room above ours flooded their jacuzzi which resulted in water dripping from our ceiling at 2am. The fire alarm also went off the same evening as someone was smoking in their room (it is well noted on check in and in the rooms that there is a large euro fine for this).

Honestly…everything. It’s a historic building with modern and spacious rooms, outstanding service that is friendly rather than stuffy, central location tucked away in a lovely neighborhood, outstanding included Turkish breakfast, and a really great value compared to similar priced hotels anywhere else in the world (including Istanbul). Having stayed all over the world in all kinds of hotels I can honestly say this is one of the best in EVERY way. We visited 2 other luxurious properties during our time in Istanbul (Mandarin Oriental and Shangri-La) and can say that this one felt way more down-to-earth which we appreciated. The staff knew us by name and were helpful without being overly formal. The only downside is no pool or spa but it is a small boutique hotel with only a few guests. Save your $ and go to one of the larger properties for a spa day to take advantage of their facilities if you so wish. And stay at TomTom suites. You will not regret it!

Memorable experience, one of the best in the hotel world. The people at the reception, the human contact is absolutely fantastic. Everyone is professional, forthcoming and ready to assist efficiently and promptly. The location is superb on a quiet street, with no traffic which is a bonus in a city like İstanbul. the suites are spotless and all the amenities are in perfect function. The whole experience is unforgettable just like the city. Easy access to the most important sites and a very secure place. Breakfast 🍳 is diverse and highly satisfying. I feel absolutely privileged to recommend this place and to salute the people who run it.

Lovely, quiet boutique style hotel in an historic building - simple decor with touches of interest through art work and architectural features. Well appointed, comfortable room. Lovely staff at reception and breakfast. Professional, courteous and attentive - they genuinely wanted to make our stay special. Fabulous leisurely breakfast - presented in a tapas style. Great location - 5 min walk to tram station, Cruise Ship Terminal ( shops / restaurants) and Istanbul Modern Gallery. The walk to / from the hotel is very steep, so people with mobility issues would need to use taxis. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!

The staff were excellent, especially the waiter at breakfast time who was a credit to the hotel. We had noisy guests above us (not the fault of the hotel) and they agreed to move us to another room the next day.

We were provided with a room early after a very early flight (which was very good of the hotel), although we were unable to rest in the room due to very noisy renovation works going on in the room next door.

The room was overheated and the fuse snapped, so we couldn't use the kettle and other amenities in the room. Wr couldnt find the fuse box and neither could the personnel.

This hotel is in a beautifully renovated historic building and is in an excellent location. You can easily walk to many sites—the modern art museum, Galata tower, the Museum of Innocence, and several hamams. The metro system also is excellent and easily accessible from this hotel, and is very inexpensive. Using the tram, it’s easy to reach the Blue Mosque, the Aya Sofia, and all other major attractions. And the ferries will take you to the Asia side while you enjoy a tea and the views from the ferry. The street the hotel is on is closed off because it is across from the Italian embassy, which makes the street very quiet even though it is in the middle of a very happening area. The rooms are spacious, well designed, and very comfortable. Breakfast in the rooftop restaurant is wonderful. And the staff also is very helpful, particularly Osge Ozdogan. Unfortunately Osge is no longer there, but the advice she gave us when we first arrived was excellent, and we followed her suggestions for several days.

The only mild complaint I have is that one night one of the desk clerks recommended that we go to Sur Balik Cihangir for dinner. Our sense was that this restaurant caters almost exclusively to tourists and is overpriced. The service was not good, and the meal was mediocre. The restaurant recommendations we received from Osge were far better.

Everything about our stay was delightful, especially the exceptionally kind and helpful staff. They went above and beyond for us in helping us with every detail of our stay. The room was spacious, beautifully designed and comfortable. The location was a quiet oasis just a short walk to happening areas and to the tram. The bed was super comfy and the sheets ironed crisp. Breakfast was delicious and served with a gorgeous view. To add to all of this, it was a great value. I will 100% choose Tomtom Suites for my next visit to Istanbul.

The location was excellent with easy access to the subway and the ferry. Front desk staff were very engaging and helpful in understanding how to get around this large city.

The recommendation from the front desk for guide services was disgraceful. It was represented that this individual was well known to the hotel and had glowing reviews by prior guests. This could not have been true as the person, while apparently doing guide work in Istanbul for numerous years, was very uninformed about the city and its history.
