This is a great local hotel in a fantastic location. It was our first time in Istanbul, and we felt like everything we wanted to see was either in walking distance or easily accessible by transit. The hotel itself is comfortable and well-appointed, but what really sets it apart is the staff. The staff is absolutely fantastic. Both the day and the night front desk staff was so helpful and genuinely warm, offering great intel about the neighborhood. They arranged a very affordable laundry service for me, which was so appreciated. There was also a water outage in the neighborhood when we were there (not the hotel's fault at all, it was a city shut-off), and they were so apologetic about it that they arranged a free airport transfer for us. Completely unnecessary, but an example of true hospitality. Keep it up! We'll be back.

Friendly and superb location. You can get breakfast from Varun opposite. The room I chose was classic, without balcony and brilliant for being quiet. Pick that if you are a light sleeper, as Istiklal street is naturally humming with noise. They replace water everyday and it's easy to walk to Tophane tram down the line and Funicular. Boutique place that's great for smart travellers.

More regular snacks at reception as these ran out quickly.

The Hotel is in an Ideal Location. Located just off the Main Istiklal Street, It’s a couple minutes walk to the Şişhane Metro Station, and the Karaköy - Beyoğlu Tunel. Both these things make it extremely convenient to get to most parts of the city easily along with walking down the hill where you pass the Galata Tower 10 minutes into your walk. Many stores, along with restaurants and small cafes are located all around the property on Istiklal Street. The Studio Room is Spacious. We chose the room for two people and had ample space to keep our luggage and walk around without feeling cramped at all. There was a Sofa Bed and a Large Double Bed also. The Minibar/Fridge and other basic amenities for Coffee and Snacks were all available and well stocked. The Hotel Staff is Brilliant. From the time we checked in, from giving us Wifi devices to stay connected on the move,along with restaurant recommendations and reservations and giving us advice on anything we asked all the staff we interacted with at the hotel were kind, welcoming and extremely helpful. This energy made our stay that much more memorable.

- The booking had "Parking included" in the title of the reservation but when I got there, the parking wasn't included :( ( so the title was misleading) - The room window lead to the interior staircase which always smelled like kitchen cooking, i couldn't open it to get fresh air (the photo of the booking you could see the window but not the staircase, so it was misleading) - There was sometimes bad smell comming from bathroom drain and i could not open the window to let it out because the kitchen smell would get in..

This hotel is my new gem in Istanbul. Fantastically located hotel, that I could walk only in 2 minutes to metro station, few steps to famous Istiklal Street, few minutes to Galata Tower, and much more! Our room was very spacious, clean, and very nicely decorated. I was also surprised the internet speed! It was really fast, and good quality signal all over the property. I always had problems with wifi in Istanbul hotels but I didn’t have any problem with wifi here! I cant mention enough about staff! Ufuk was there when we arrive. He was very welcoming, and gave us really great suggestions about nearby places. I would definitely recommend here!

The location was perfect, right next to the famous Istiklal shopping street, situated near nice restaurants and cafes. Galata tower was a 5 minute walk as were the main tram lines connecting us to the major tourist attractions. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, providing us with a portable wifi device that worked perfectly throughout our stay. They also had a pamphlet with restaurants and cafe suggestions that came in handy for first-timers. We arrived quite early, around 10:30 and even though the check-in time was 14:00, they managed to check us in when we got to the hotel, even upgrading our room to a deluxe double room as a gesture of their hospitality. Overall, we were delighted to stay in the hotel and had a wonderful time.

The hotel is located in an excellent location with tons of restaurants, bars and plenty of shopping with walking distance. All the staff which I met were very welcoming, helpful and professional. The room was very clean, cosy and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The shower large and the water pressure was strong. I have been to many hotels in this area (Taksim), as I pass through Istanbul a lot due my work, I’m based in Africa. And I finally found the hotel that I will come back to at a very reasonable price range of €80 per night! So look no further and book here…

What a lovely boutique hotel! I was travelling for work and arrived very late after several delayed flights. The friendly and professional staff immediately made me feel welcome and helped me get settled. The hotel has everything you need to feel comfortable and at home. It is super clean, cozy and well-located. The fireplace in my room was not working, but I know that can happen at times, so it was not a big deal. Thank you so much to the team at Story Pera. I hope to be back!

This was an excellent choice of a hotel: very centrally located, but thanks to being in one of the small streets just off Istiklal, it was much quieter. Very nice, clean and spacious rooms in a building with a fascinating history. Excellent and very helpful staff. The hotel did not offer breakfast, but there are enough options nearby, including Varuna Gezun just across the street and Medo on Istiklal. Likewise, the choice of dinner and shopping options, across a wide range of price levels, all within five-minute walking radius, was just stunning. Good and cheap (even if involving a bit of walking) airport transfers via metro from the Sishane M2 station, which is also close by. From tourist attractions, the Galata tower is just a short walk away. On the whole, an excellent stay in a fantastic location.

During my recent trip to Istanbul, I had an unexpected change in plans due to a flight cancellation. This led me to arrive at the hotel early the next morning, around 8 am. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only had the hotel retained our reservation, but they had also upgraded our room. This gesture of goodwill was further enhanced by their decision to charge us for just one night, showcasing their commitment to customer satisfaction.
