I had a great week in Aberdeen staying at Brigg Inn. The location is accessible easily by buses and even a lovely walk into the city centre. There are stunning areas to explore and the venue itself was well suited to my needs. The owners are lovely and as they took over management of the place in November 2022 are underway in improving bits and pieces. Eg, the restaurant was currently closed as being refitted. However the bar is open, has live music and a friendly crowd. The room was a decent size and the bed was comfortable. Lots of drawers and hanging space to really settle in for a week long stay. The cleaning staff were friendly and did a great job. There was also good shelf storage in the bathroom.

The location is easy to get to and 5 minutes from work. WiFi was excellent with strong signal and good download speed. The property is under new ownership and it's being upgraded over time. The kitchen has already been completed. There's excellent room service too, which is really useful if you're still working in the evening.

It would be unfair to be critical as it is a work in progress, as mentioned above. The new owners have bold plans to transform the inn so as of today it's imperfect but perfectly acceptable. The only thing that annoyed (and it's quite common) is that the duvet is tightly tucked under the mattress so you can't stretch out. Easily fixed though!

Everything! The hosts were very hospitable, friendly and always there to help. The dining attached had a good menu and a variety of typical Scottish dishes. The bar was everything I had hoped for. The local people were friendly and inviting, they made me feel at home there. The locals are very proud of their country and quick to give advice on where to go and what to see when asked. The bus stop is just across the street and runs downtown every 10-15 mi, use Google to get precise info on the buses

Location was excellent as I had a meeting very close by. The breakfast was top notch, with a choice of fruit juices, toast, tea coffee, refills on request, and an excellent breakfast of 3 rashers of bacon, 2 sausages, mushrooms, tomato, beans, black pudding, fried egg, hash browns and tattie scone. Hosts and staff excellent. Well appointed room. Would definitely return.

Little bit noisy due to location so it is what it is, nothing can really be done about that.

Inexpensive, private bathroom and quiet. When I saw the room was above a pub/ restaurant (specialising in Indian cuisine) i was concerned about noise. I could barely hear the pub kn the afternoon and it was completely silent in the evening. I was very happy with that. The roo. Was ean and comfortable and just right for the single weary traveller. My host was lovely and hpee me out when I realised I forgot my phone charger. Tea & coffee in room. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone.

I would recommend asking for more milk as there wasn't enough. I actually went out and picked some milk up although I'm.sure your host would have accommodated a request.

A last minute work trip had me look for somewhere to stay over and The Brig Inn Hotel fitted all my criteria. I was greeted by the staff in the bar who showed me to check in. I was escorted to my room which was great value for money. I spent the afternoon in the bar watching football and chatting with locals and the bar staff. This will be my go to place to stay in Aberdeen when i'm up here again. Many thanks to you all.

Unfortunately i had to leave before breakfast as it doesn't start until 07:30, but other than that everything was spot on.

The breakfast was really nice, worth every penny but it was missing a tattie scone! But I can live with that... The hosts were lovely, friendly

There wasn't anything I didn't like really... The shower curtain allowed a LOT of water to leak out onto the floor but other than that, lovely stay

The facility was very well appointed and the staff very friendly and helpful. There is a very good Indian restaurant adjoined to the Hotel along with a very pleasant bar with three dart boards and 4 large TV screens. Also adjacent to the main drag from Ellon into the centre of Aberdeen where there is an abundance of bus services.

Not much, oh the time it took for the hot water to come through the tap in the morning!

Great location as I needed to be near the University. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I had to complain about residents in the next room being very noisy one evening right until the early hours. Loud voices, arguments, etc. Told a member of staff the next day and he spoke to the guests involved. No problems thereafter.

Conveniently located for the University. Excellent value for money. Good nearby public transport. Right next to local nature reserve, good for walks. Clean and comfortable.

Would have been good if breakfast had been included. It's available but needs to be requested in advance at additional cost. Could do with some refreshment of the decor.
