Residence Inn by Marriott Aberdeen

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The location was fantastic. The suites are lovely and well thought out. We had a minor issue with breakfast but this wouldn't stop us going back.

If you need a vegan option for breakfast you have to ask. The staff were so busy and the person I asked said she couldn't help me and I'd need to ask someone else but that person was with another customer so my husband just left it. Perhaps having someone to meet you as you go in for breakfast and asking if there are any dietary needs may help.

Our suite was lovely. Big bedroom and bathroom. Great facilities in kitchen area. Bed was comfortable and the air-con was great, as was a very hot weekend. Food/drink selection at breakfast was good. East check in/out. Very close to shopping centre and restaurants/bars.

Waitress was hoovering over us at breakfast, swiping away our plates before the cutlery was placed down. I felt a little rushed by this. It was our wedding anniversary and also Fathers Day. We were starting the day with a good breakfast and didn't appreciate the way we were made to feel.

Our room was spacious and well equipped. The hotel had a small but functional gym and free of charge laundry was a nice extra. In addition to Scottish breakfast buffet selection, you could make orders from the kitchen such as poached eggs.

The laundry room was really popular and it was almost impossible to get your own clothes washed. Only one working washing machine couldn't serve the whole hotel. The breakfast buffet was missing fresh vegetables like cucumber and lettuce.

Beautiful clean hotel, excellent location, nice and quiet, breakfast was brilliant, staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were spotless, loved how curtains had Velcro at the sides so no light was coming through, never had that in a hotel before so was very impressed and had a brilliant sleep because of that, room facilities were excellent, kitchen was brilliant we mainly used the fridge and freezer compartment which was excellent quality, will definitely stay again

I've stayed a couple of times this summer at the Marriott Residence Aberdeen. And it's been so nice to stay at a place where everything's in great shape, the rooms are nice, the bathrooms too, good breakfast, great staff, all super clean. And comfortable bed - if you book it direct through Marriott, you can request feather pillows. If you're booking it through Booking Dot Com, maybe just ask as a request when you book. And finally, in spite of the super central location, it's amazingly quiet.

Check in was excellent we arrived early intending to leave our suitcase to pick up at later check-in. The receptionist couldn't have been more helpful and advised us that our room was actually ready, and we were checked-in without any problem.

In all honesty there was nothing really to dislike, if anything a very minor issue was the corridor light came through the bottom of the room door preventing total darkness which perhaps a draught excluder or similar would have resolved the issue. The breakfast was excellent good choice of food well-cooked and pleasant surroundings probably one of the better hotel breakfasts we have tasted.

It was clean, modern and staff were lovely. Breakfast was good. Had all you could want. Room although on the small side had everything you wld need and more with a ‘kitchen’ area with fridge cooker microwave and dishwasher. All surplus to our requirements for a leisure stay for two nights as a couple but might be useful in a family room or for longer stays. Bed comfy and good shower.

Access to parking was a frustrating experience. The car park is under the hotel but surrounding street is bus only. We had to call hotel for guidance even after satnav directions! Its also expensive at £13.50/night. Feel it shld be free or cheaper.

My mother and I came to visit my son who studies at the Aberdeen University and the choice of this hotel couldn't be any better. We have booked a studio meaning my son was able to cook us a beautiful supper during one of the days, which made the stay even more special. The hotel is super clean and the breakfast great. I highly recommend it to others and I will definitely use it again.

I have no negatives to add. The lady at the reception was very helpful. As the breakfast staff. They do deserve your money. You will not be disappointed. The train station is only short distance away too.

Love this hotel and have stayed several times whilst visiting daughter in Aberdeen. The staff are friendly and helpful, rooms spacious, comfy beds, exceptionally clean, great showers and toiletries and the kitchenette an added bonus. Buffet Breakfast is everything you need and complimentary and take away boxes great idea if you would rather eat in your room. Location is perfect and central and you can get parking at Bon accord multi-storey with a qr code from the hotel so costs £10 for overnight.

Absolutely nothing

We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of September for my daughters 14th birthday. We were in Aberdeen for a shopping trip as a gift to our daughter. The hotel was very accommodating and let us check in earlier than the proposed time so we could leave our bags in our room. Breakfast was beautiful, great spread on offer. Very fresh and lots available for a variety of dietary requirements

This is very minor but the skirting boards were dusty in the room. Not even a light dust but looked like it hadn’t been dusted for a while. Only issue I had with this is that I’ve had pneumonia recently and any slight dust laying seems to set me off coughing
