Aberdeen House Hotel

Staff friendly eventhough the weather was inclement ie very stormy and I had informed them I maybe late as was travelling from England took £10 cash from me as arrived after 10pm knew I was there on business never a mention of a receipt/invoice for said money, note I was leaving at 6.30am, didn't even have a tea! I was not too miffed at the charge then went in the room bedside lights didn't work neither did the switch at the bed to put lights off! But as it was just a bed to sleep for a few hours I did not bother the staff.

A fantastic hotel, considering the cost of stay. Centrally located, within easy walking distance of city centre. I'll definitely consider staying there again next time I'm in Aberdeen.

If I had to mention one thing, and it is quite minor, late night revellers would congregate in the doorway at the front entrance to the hotel, occasionally blocking my exit. Not a big hassle for me, but perhaps more so for any more timid guests.

closeness to station and city centre affordable quite sad i had to leave earlier due to heat wave the housekeepers were very helpful The designs on the large area walls gave a nice background for pictures It was really quiet I’ll definitely stay here again if i ever visit Aberdeen

i didn’t like that they didn’t have a microwave at least, because seeing that I bought meals online it would have been nice to have an accessible microwave. would also be nice if the bathroom had something to mop up the water Would be nice if each room had cutlery so i won’t have to stress the housekeeper

Hotel is ideally situated for city centre visits. It is directly across from the bus station and just a few minutes walk from the train station. Compared to other city centre hotels it is very good value for money.

The rooms were clean and comfortable but dated. The inside of the hotel is a bit tired but if you are only looking for somewhere to put your head it is ideal. Not recommended for people with reduced mobility due to stairs and no lift.

When I checked in, I was offered an upgrade as the room that was booked didn't have a window, I was informed of this when I checked, and that's why he offered me an upgrade. The staff were really friendly, the room was basic but comfortable, tea making facilities, shower and a TV, Internet access, really enjoyed my stay.

Push buttons to exit doors on way out, there were alot of stairs but I didn't mind them as when I arrived I just stayed in my room.

This is the 3rd time I have stayed here and the service was good as always. The staff were very welcoming on arrival. The hotel is clean and the bed was comfortable. They managed to switch my room to my favourite room with a bath instead which really made me enjoy my stay once again. The location is perfect for a night out in town. I will stay here again.

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

Ideal for an overnight stay. The room was spotless and great value. Minutes from Union Street and directly opposite the bus station with the rail station also close by. Would use again for any similar stays.

Just a note to say that single rooms are on the third floor, so quite a climb for those less able.

I didn't expect much, but was really surprised, clean large rooms with the usual little folded towels tea coffee etc. I rate it quite high, little gem 2 mins walk from train station. Will definitely use again

I didn't like the fact that you book n pay for it but even though check in says 1500 to 0000 they charge an extra 10gbp after 2200 to check in.. not a major issue and not sure who to blame but check before paying

The place is extremely handily situated and it is a really nice place. The only thing that stopped it getting 10 out of 10 was the bar was closed. But there are so many bars nearby. And a shop selling everything right next door. And it is right next to the bus and train stations. BUT there was no noise so it was really easy to sleep. Really liked it and would stay again.

Amazing location, right across the street from Union Square Station Shopping Center, so no shortage of buses or restaurants. Check-in was smooth, and the room had a pretty nice view of the harbor. The bed was a bit uncomfortable because of the springs, and it could use an extra blanket, but it was large with extra pillows so not a huge problem. Bathroom was well supplied with nice lemongrass/bergamot soaps and a very easy-to-use control system for the shower. The room also had a tea/coffee station, and I liked the extra space for placing things (4 shelves in the bathroom, bedside table on each side of the bed). Overall a good value. :)
