Atholl Hotel

The Staff - absolutely amazing, cheerful, friendly and could not do enough for you. The hotel is outside the town p about a 5 minute taxi ride or 25 minute walk p we did both. Although if you have a car it has a large car park. The room was brilliant - we asked for a mattress topper and a fan; these were there within 10 minutes. Wonderful breakfast - very quick service with a smile. They even went the extra mile when I asked for baby tomatoes instead of a normal grilled tomato. We have stayed here before and it is now our number one go to when we visit family in Aberdeen.

The Hotel is very nice, and has a "family" feel to it, while being a stunning building. The staff were all extremely helpful. The breakfast was very good, with nice choices of continental and cooked breakfast. The restaurant is also good.

Although there is a lift to go to the first floor, there is no lift to go back down to the section where there are some rooms. So if you have a lot of luggage of mobility problems, let the staff know so you can have a room on the first floor. I'm also not keen on wall-to-wall carpets, would much prefer wooden floors, which are more hygienic.

The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom looked as if it had been recently refurbished. Great shower. Breakfast was very good and there were plenty of options. The hotel is easy to get to and has plenty of free parking. There is a bus stop just along from the hotel and buses are every 20 minutes. It takes about 10 minutes to get in to the centre of Aberdeen making it ideal for heading in for a meal, theatre etc. We had one small issue which was quickly dealt with by staff. All members of staff were welcoming, helpful and polite.

The property is in a residential area about 30 minutes walk to the city centre. There is ample free parking to the rear of the property. The food is exceptional and the waiting staff amongst the friendliest, cheerful and attentive staff I have experienced.

We were allocated room 22 which is dark and facing a wall. Access was up a stairway along corridors and down further stairs. However I could not fault the cleanliness. Would not put me off staying again but I would negotiate a more accessible room

The hotel was very comfortable and clean. It was well situated being in walking distance of the city centre, in a quiet neighbourhood and with ample parking. Although the restaurant and bar were busy, service was excellent. Food and drinks arrived very quickly and staff were attentive. The Atholl had a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Although food was excellent quality and reasonably priced, we did think that £1.75 for two shortbread biscuits with tea in the afternoon was a bit steep.

First and foremost : Hotel staff were lovely, and incredibly helpful. i was only here for business, but I felt really rested. the rooms are very clean and large, beds are comfortable, and the restaurant food and breakfast is superb. Staff are super generous with extra tea/coffee supplies. Fresh, and plenty, of towels every day. Fast and reliable wifi. Bus to town centre on the doorstep. Overall a great experience.

My daughter was having an operation in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. I googled and The Atholl Hotel came up first and was a 15 min walk. The staff were amazing especially Fraser who put me at ease and nothing was too much for them all. I needed 2 extra nights and even though they were busy they managed to keep me in the room I checked into. I ate in the restaurant 2 of nights and the food was amazing and generous portions. I had Lamb shank and Mince the other night I can't remember any other staff member names but 12/10

I can honestly say everything was perfect

we made a request for decaf drinks as my sister is allergic to caffeine. despite having stayed in dozens of hotels and b&bs, these folks are the only ones who have actually bothered to meet the request. thank you!!! the bed was comfy, room was clean and quiet and perfect for purposes. had everything needed and more. hosts were super friendly and caring. it was much appreciated and if we are ever in the area again we will 100% use this hotel again.

honestly everything was just how we expected/hoped

We had booked Atholl Hotel because we needed a one night stay as we passed back through Aberdeen and it had good reviews. My goodness, it was spectacular! Our room was fantastic - it was a massive suite, spacious, with many amenities. We thought there had been some sort of mistake. The on property restaurant was outstanding with a large selection of beer, wine, and spirits, and the food was excellent. It turns out there had been an error with the room charge, and staff was right on it to ensure that we did not get overcharged - kudos to Fraser. We had booked Atholl Hotel, looking only to have a place to lay our heads for the night, and it ended up being one of the top stays of our trip.

Everything was great, but if I had to note something it would be that all parking is behind the entrance to the Hotel, nowhere near reception, so if you have a considerable amount of luggage you may have to park on the street in front and unload very quickly.

we have been using this hotel for many many years and hope to continue to use it for many years to come, it has a very homely atmosphere and the staff are very friendly, many of which have been there for around thirty years and have the experience in making the many functions of the hotel run smoothly, and are a real credit to the hotel management, who are always on hand and go out of their way to resolve any issues.
