The location was very good for what I wanted/needed to do. The hotel food was good although the choice at breakfast was limited for those of us who are gluten and dairy free. There are plenty of areas where you can sit, read a book, wait or watch the world go by without being confined to your room.

The lift was not working and although there was a service lift that could be used it was limiting. I would have liked forewarning of the lift problems. My room needed a little TLC in places but that did not mar my stay.

Excellent staff, well maintained, great location , it's where we always stay in Bath. You are in the swing of things in central Bath. It is on a wonderful Terrace (Architect John Wood). Not the usual depressing modern sky scraper.. The bar has a surprising number of locals in it, I enjoyed it

Foyer, Reception desk is pretty naff. It was a beautiful bit of Mahogany until Mercure changed it pretend Buttoned leather. Also there was nowhere for the receptionist to go when on the phone to clients. I had a long wait on arrival whilst a dispute was settled on the phone. No criticism of the staff however who kept her sange froide. Also this area was kept arctic.

The hotel was everything you could ask for in a large city centre. The staff were very polite and welcoming, the facilities across the hotel were perfect and so clean! Our room was the perfect size and well decorated, the bed was extremely comfy and the room was well equipped (fridge, hair dryer, tea/coffee, coffee pod machine, smart tv). We arrived midday and got a car parking space very easily. The hotel restaurant did a lovely breakfast and evening meal, plus lots of nice cocktails!! I would definitely recommend attending for both. Would 100% recommend the hotel to others and we would stay here again. The hotel was a great location and a very short walk from shops, restaurants, bars and the Roman baths.

We thought £20 per night to use the car park was a little pricey but can understand as the hotel is very central. Unfortunately on our first night the bar was very lock stocked, there were no gin options or draught/bottled beer - slightly annoying but couldn’t be helped. We didn’t know when booking the hotel that normal room cleaning services were not standard and the cleaners only stocked the room up (toiletries, tea/coffee) and did not make the bed or change any towels unless specifically requested - whilst this didn’t bother us it would have been nice to know prior to arriving.

Spotlessly clean, room was a great size, bed was comfy. It was great having a little fridge in the room, we got some milk to have hot drinks (milk was provided as well, I just drink lots of tea!) Tea/coffee tray was well stocked and refreshed when the bed was made in the morning. There was a nespresso machine but we didn’t use it. Proper kettle, not a mini one. Location was brilliant. Car parking reasonable as well. Great powerful shower. The hand soap and body wash smelt lovely. Great they’re in big bottles too, little samples are so bad for the environment. The bar was lovely, although quite pricey!

The room was a bit chilly (British summertime!) and the heater didn’t particularly warm the room. Although I’m always cold, so that could just be me. Bar was lovely but quite expensive. We’d have gone the second evening as well (lots of comfy chairs!) but due to the prices we went elsewhere for a drink after dinner. We didn’t have breakfast as again it was quite expensive, but if you were having a full English etc it would probably have been fine. A shame there wasn’t just a continental option. Although no hotels seem to do that these days!

The staff were very friendly and were always ready to help with queries, booking taxis, helping with luggage. The hotel has a great lounge and bar area which was ideal for our event - celebratory drinks followed by a lovely lunch in the restaurant for family members. There was plenty of comfortable seating to accommodate all ages of our party. The hotel is well located in the centre of the city, with lovely restaurants close by, and all the main sites within a short walk.

I wasn't a huge fan of the a la carte porridge at breakfast, but the breakfast buffet was lovely on the second day and all the other dishes we ate at the lunch were amazing!

Hotel was beautiful, Reception staff so helpful from start to finish. It was so clean and tidy. Decor was stunning. The room was clean, the decor, just as lovely. Was great to have a selection of fresh coffee too. The Nespresso machine was an added bonus. Our room was lovely and quiet. Loved the walk in shower which we originally asked for, so it was great we had one in our room. It was a lovely relaxing romantic stay. Breakfast was an additional charge but there was a great selection to have. Check out was painless. An additional bonus was the extra stay in the car park until 2pm, even though we check out was 11am. Gave us time to have a wander round the beautiful city.

The only thing I would say was the bedside light in our room was broken, But we should have told staff but forgot. Everything else to be honest was faultless.

We loved the location. We were able to walk up to the hotel from the train station. It was a beautiful hotel in a perfect historic location. We were able to walk to town and visit different sites such as the Abbey and the Roman Baths. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast food which we did have to pay for was good and very reasonably priced.

Bath is a great destination however this is a place that an excursion to the Stonehenge Historical site is also done. The concierge whom I felt should be able to help with this was not familiar with how to make this happen. She was friendly but had to google excursion companies that go to Stonehenge. It was able to happen when I spoke to a company she found online which provided this day trip. I just felt that the staff behind that desk should know how to make this happen with a well known list available to guide the guest.

Perfectly located in Bath City Centre and close to shopping and restaurants. We used the Bath park and ride where the bus stop is only a short walk from the hotel. Our room was fresh and lots of light, very clean and comfortable. Nice smelling toiletries and white fluffy towels. Tea making facilities and bottled water was well received. We chose to eat breakfast away from the hotel near the Abbey but we did sit outside and use the bar facilities which was very nice. The hotel kindly stored our luggage and shopping which was vey convenient after checkout so we could enjoy the rest of the day. Very friendly and helpful staff on reception thank you.

Very centrally located, and yet slightly off the beaten track so a very peaceful night. Easily accessible to central Bath on foot in all directions - shopping, restaurants, history, monuments and buildings in one direction, famous streets and the botanical gardens in another. I liked that I could open the window (albeit slightly) to get fresh air into the room, so I did not have to rely on air conditioning.

While it was mostly very comfortable, all four pillows on my bed were hard and big - I am a petite female and prefer a softer pillow. By the time I realised this, it was after midnight so I wasn’t able to source an alternative. The room was pretty clean, other than a huge dusty spiderweb which hung over the bed, slightly out of reach, threatening to drop on my face!!!

We arrived early in the day and was able to park in The Francis car park, its only small, so i guess we were lucky. The hotel is situated near Mr B book shop, so shopped there for an hour before our lunch back a the hotel at 1pm. Great food, really great choice, brilliant having it attached to the hotel, but with different entrances. There is a lift so ideal for taking heavy shopping bags back to room. 2 mins walk to theatre royal for matinee and then back to large lovely room overlooking queens square. Perfect day!

The room was freezing when we checked in on a cold day. You need your room key before it comes on! I did not know. They brought me an extra heater straight away, so great service. I would keep some back ground heating on when its very cold out and you know you have guests checking into that room The lounge/public area was also too cold to sit in.
