A well run and well maintained hotel in a leafy location with exceptionally helpful staff. Excellent breakfast was served quickly and efficiently in a pleasant room. Beautiful garden with seating outside hotel bar. My single room was simple but up-to-date and with everything I needed. I liked the out-of-toiwn feel but it means there are no eating places or shops close by,

It's not a purpose built hotel and there are some space compromises. Some manoeuevring can be needed to get in and out of the car park if it's full. In my room the shower and clothes storage weren't the most spacious. But these are small quibbles that might affect a longer stay.

Excellent breakfast.

Our given room was a wet room. The indication being suitable for a disabled person. BUT, the room was very cramped with bed pushed against wall. As husband is disabled this was difficult. If he slept on outer side, I, in my 70s had problems getting in and out of bed. Also wet room remained flooded after a shower making it dangerous as my husband's condition does not give him feeling in his feet and balance problems. That being said, owners were very helpful and explained they had only been there a year and we're aware this area needed updating. They are very pleasant people and it is obvious when renovations are complete it will be lovely. Hotel was light, bright and very clean.

Last minute booking and communication was excellent. Staying overnight for a concert and this was a last minute decision and very much appreciated. Was convenient to get to venue on the train but no chance of train back. Taxi cost £18 from city centre at 1am so okay but just to factor that in. Last train back is 11.13 so it’s a cab on the way back. Very pretty hotel and nice standard, beautiful hanging baskets! It was very hot night so had to have windows open and the road became noisy as the morning progressed. Having said that it was a comfortable stay with nice toiletries, plenty of parking and proprietor interaction. Very recommended.

Just a very hot night, warm room and noisy road with windows open.

perfect single room for my work trip away! clean room with all amenities needed. parking on site and easy to find. breakfast was fabulous and set me up perfectly for the day. owners really friendly and welcoming

when I first arrived the room was roasting - but left windows open all evening and by night time it was fine. noisy road but couldn’t be helped and after 9pm it was pretty quiet. The bathroom tiny but fine for the room. wish there had been decaf sachets of tea or coffee maybe a hot chocolate hehe

Just to say it was a pleasure staying in this extremely salubrious hotel, really comfortable nights sleep! I highly recommend, refer, and aim to re-use this hotel again in the near future! Such a pleasant stay! The owners / staff were extremely accommodating, beyond the typical standard. P.s. Great touch with the bar, only the upper echelon of hotels would have “Drambuie” available! Top Notch! 🏆 Hope to visit this establishment again soon!

That I only got to stay 1 night due to work commitments! 😢

A functional and comfortable hotel room with easy to use appliances including the a shower and comfortable bed. Tasty breakfasts and really friendly staff who were accommodating of an autistic customer in their midst.

Perhaps air conditioning would have been a nice bonus particularly if the temperature had been hotter and creaking floorboards made things a little bit nerve wracking when moving around. Also could have more textual information inside the hotel room itself.

The hotel has a friendly, homely atmosphere and I could see how return visitors were welcomed like old friends - delightful! The garden is wonderful, something I really value when travelling away from home. The breakfast was delicious and very prompt which is great when you're travelling for work reasons. I hope I need to stay in the area again!

Tiny issues like the car park is a bit of a squeeze and the fire escape from my room (which apparently is going to be removed due to safety) meant I was nervous to have my window open through the night. But overall, everything was fabulous and I'd definitely stay there again. The green safety light on the bedroom ceiling was very bright and I needed to cover it to sleep.

Ground and 1st floor rooms in a lovely setting surrounding a beautiful garden. Rooms small but perfectly formed all en-suite with tea/coffee facilities . Hosts very welcoming with superb breakfast and attentive service. There is also a bar available in the eve. Set in Bournville suburb it is ideal for visiting nearby Cadbury World with easy access to central Birmingham in 10 mins via train. Suited my needs perfectly for a one night stay with my teenage daughter. Pic shows the view of the garden from my ground floor room.

Parking is available but slightly limited. Some noise from adjacent rooms could be heard. Nearby clock tower at local church chimes on the hour every hour even thru' the night!

Excellent location in Bournville. A very warm welcome from the hostess and the whole place looked as though it had recently been refurbished to a very high standard. Small clean room with en-suite shower and toilet. Sink in room, hanging space and delightful garden view. Provision for tea and coffee making, TV and hairdryer. Breakfast (strictly timed in 15 minute intervals) ordered the night before at reception. Plenty of choice, tasty food and efficiently served. Parking on site and use of garden available.

The bed was really uncomfortable; too hard for me. I had to sleep on top of the duvet to ease the discomfort.
