Shirley Heights Hotel

Everything about Shirley Heights was wonderful. On arrival, we were greeted by Derek, who is a lovely man. He helped us with our luggage, and he made my wife and children a drink. Whilst I parked the car. My children thought a lot of Derek. He was really food with them all week. Amanda was really lovely, too, she makes cracking breakfasts. Our family room (number 1) was beautiful, the decor is lovely, it's cosy and it has everything you need. We would come back from days out to find the room had Bern clean and the beds made, tea, coffee topped up, etc, which is a nice touch, as you don't always get that. The shower/toilet room is a nice size, again with nice decor. There is not one negative word to say about SH. It is less than a 5 minute walk to the main strip and less than 10 minutes to the main shopping centre. Staying at SH made our trip to Blackpool even more special. We can not thank Derek and Amanda enough. Two special people who are fantastic at their jobs. Derek would always go that extra mile. At breakfast, he would make sure you have everything you need and that you didn't want anything else. He would have a conservation with you and recommend places to visit. My children are already asking if we can go back, which we definitely will, and there is only one place we should stay, and that's Shirley Heights. Thank you both so much. Me and my wife stayed for 2 nights and loved the B&B. Great location, comfortable mattress and pillows, the whole place was really clean and the owners (Derek and Amanda) were extremely welcoming, friendly and gave recommendations of things to do. English breakfast was super tasty and a good portion size. A lot of effort has been put in to make this a perfect place to stay. Will definitely be recommending it to friends and going again next time we're in Blackpool.

Derek and Amanda was lovely they did over and beyond. They offered a welcome drink on arrival as we had a long journey. Surprised my son for his birthday with a cake, present, balloon, and some decoration. We were well surprised. Breakfast was excellent full English just as we like it. Family room was clean and comfortable, enough place for four of us, also it was very quiet, we didn't hear any other guests come and go. Good location and good value for money. Highly recommended we'll go back again.

We stopped in the small double room and although the room was relatively small it was very clean, very comfortable and the bed was lovely to sleep in. This room was on the back of the property which meant it was very quiet at night. The shower was very good and clean too. The breakfast in my opinion was absolutely delish and they cater for vegans etc too !! The guy Derek that runs the place was very helpful, friendly and gave us plenty of good and valuable advice. The property is perfectly located for a short stroll to the seafront. The question is would we stay there again ? absolutely definitely yes. its a 10/10 from me.

This was a last minute booking for a family of 4. Perfect location so close to the sea-front. No parking out front, which isnt a problem as there is a big car park, which can be seen from the hotal and is good value for money. Amanda and derek were amazing, couldnt do enough and went above and beyond to cater for your every need, if you need anything extra, it was a quick message and the reply was very quick, and it would be there when you arrived. Breakfast was amazing, catering to your needs, great choice to chose from, cereal, full english just how you want it, fruit juice ( unlimited) tea/ coffee (unlimited), choice of bread or toast ( unlimited), very friendly and wonderful hosts. We had a family room, which was very spacious with an on-suite bathroom. There is a kettle in the room for making hot drinks and there was a great selection to chose from, if you needed anymore, you just needed to ask and it would be there when you got back. Even with the hotel being so close to the sea-front it was very quiet. You always saw both amanda and derek everyday, and they were always happy to stop what the were doing to have a chat with you, and ask what you had done that day, also recommend things to do if you were unsure on what you wanted to do. Would highly recommend paying them a visit, we will definitely be going back. When you have 2 boys who have never been to Blackpool, they throughly enjoyed it and slept very well( big bonus for us). You will never struggle to find something the whole family can do. 10/10 overall from us. Thank you again amanda and derek for making our stay so memorable.

First time we have stayed here and we were made very welcome. The location was perfect for us and the room was very clean and modern with a very nice shower room. The beds were very comfy and the breakfast was also great. This is the best place I have stayed in Blackpool and been on many occasions. Couldn't really ask for more. Not 1 negative.

This was our second time stopping here this year, and we couldn't fault a thing, amanda and Derrick were amazimg, our kettle broke which knocked our electric off and it was sorted straight away. Full hearty breakfast yummy and they always asked how your journey was, took bags to the room, which was very well equipped for your stay, they even recommend activities if your unsure, we decided go back because our boys had never seen the illustrations before and omg they were fantastic. Highly recommend staying here, we will be back next year for sure

and we have Derek and Amanda made us feel part of the family the minute we walked in. The room was small, and we knew that when we booked, but Derek was not prepared to take our money until we had actually seen it. How could you not like and respect that? Amazing hospitality and we have already booked for next May.

We chose this property for the location, and couldn’t of asked for any more from the hosts, Derek & Amanda, lovely people who went out their way to look after all their guests, the hotel is immaculate, fantastic breakfast, you won’t be disappointed, shall definitely return, we have stayed in many b&b’s and Shirley Heights had outdone them all

We didn’t find anything not to like

Spent 3 nights at Shirley Heights - Good spacious clean room with decent shower. Coffee/tea facilities etc refilled daily and room cleaned. Breakfast was quick, fresh and well prepared by Amanda. Derek very helpful and up for a good chat. The B&B is well looked after and very well presented, in excellent location.
