Beautiful room with excellent facilities. They provided tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities plus provided tins of sparkling and non sparkling water. There was also a hairdryer, umbrella, good quality towels, bedding and robes. In the bathrooms there was bodywash, shampoo and conditioner. The bed was very comfortable too!! They also offer exemplary customer service. As we were leaving we were having trouble getting a taxi to pick up our car at a local venue. One of the staff who was cleaning the accommodation gave us a lift to our car. Unfortunately I didn't get her name but I would like to thank her for her kindness. I would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend.

The pub itself is full of character as it's really old and has lots of history, it's well presented and clean. Family run, food and drink excellent. Very friendly and welcoming. We were able to check in at a time convenient to us. We booked breakfast when we arrived and so glad we did - it was delicious and really set us up for the day on Sunday as there was a lot on offer - cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt toast and a full English with a choice of components. The sandwiches we had at Saturday lunch were delicious too! The accommodation was in a converted barn off the car park. We had a lovely en-suite room upstairs. Tea and coffee facilities in the room and more - everything we could have thought of was there!
Couldn't fault it!

Oh wow this place is amazing, all staff and local customers was very welcoming, The staff take time to chat and get to know you and provide excellent service, nothing is too much trouble, Food was lovely and really good quality and price. The chefs batter for the fish was exceptional (no soggy bits) We stayed in room 2 for 2nights the standard of cleanliness was very high, loved the layout and furniture, was very happy with all the little extras in the room and the towels was so soft and fluffy, will definitely stay again, Management… you definitely have a dream team ❤️👍🤩
There was absolutely nothing to dislike

A lovely pub with a friendly team and locals too! The rooms are in a separate building and are compact but lovely. Prue was great and looked after us very well. The food was really good and we went to bed happy with full bellies. The room we stayed in was well appointed with a basket of canned water and there were tea bags, coffee milk pods and biscuits too. The bed was super comfy and I had a great night's sleep. Breakfast in the morning was well cooked, tasty and very well presented. Overall, this was such a good find - fab food, welcoming people and comfy accommodation. I highly recommend this if you're stopping over in Kent.
Nothing major! The handles on the roof windows could be shortened so they don't scuff the plaster. It's just an aesthetic thing but it stands out so if this was addressed the room would look like new.

I was a foot Pilgrim, footsore and tired, and arrived on a Sunday evening to find the kitchen closed. the wonderful woman working offered, without being asked, to go into the kitchen herself and made me sandwiches and a salad. in the morning, another lovely lady, concerned that I’d be walking underfed, doubled my breakfast portion without additional charge or request. This is without question the most remarkable level service I have ever received. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly!

Excellent hosts, staff, food and accommodation. Very welcoming and friendly. A traditional pub restaurant with plenty of atmosphere. The whole establishment was very clean and there was a discrete professionalism and pride in the service of both food and drinks. Our room was extremely well cared for and the housekeeping team deserves recognition for doing a great job. We enjoyed a comfortable bed and high quality covers, towels and products. There was also a variety of hot and cold refreshments, sweets and biscuits! You would be hard pressed to find better than this in many much more expensive places. Truly, an exceptional find. Thank you for a great time visiting Kent.
Absolutely nothing!

We had a great stay here. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable , especially the bed . They had pretty much thought of everything , Some very nice touches in the room . Selection of teas ,coffee ,hot chocolate with marshmallows, lovely biscuits. We had an evening meal in the bar .The fish was lovely. The breakfast was exceptional. Great selection of juices , cereals, fruit salad , yogurt , pastries. The cooked breakfast was especially good. Great produce very well cooked and presented and massive portions. Thank you very much to the lovely lady who cooked the breakfast and served us. What an asset to the business she is.
If I were to be really picky I would say that although the fries served with the fish were ok I would have expected fresh potato chips considering the fish was so good ... A wine list with descriptions and prices would be helpful - our server was back and forward checking on what was available and the cost of each bottle. I am being every picky ..

I didn't stay myself, I booked for my mother in law. Claire was an absolutely brilliant host before they arrived, taking care to make arrangements through me, for taxis etc. She was so helpful and thoughtful. My MiL has not stopped talking about how wonderful their stay has been. She praised the cleanliness, the room and how comfortable the bed was, variety on the menu, yumminess of the food, the beautiful location and most highly the welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. She was so very impressed. We will be back!

We booked the Red Lion for a short break to give my girlfriend a rest after a busy time at work. It was perfect. The room was excellent. They had everything we needed in the room and treats. We had a great meal in the pub and the staff were fantastic. It was the perfect spot for a quiet - get away from it all - break. Thank you to the new owners and their staff who made us feel so welcome. We will book again.
That we only stayed one night. Now we know the Red Lion we will come back. And next time I wont share my sticky toffee pudding with my girlfriend.

An authentic village pub with the most accommodating staff. The food was delicious and fresh, the room comfortable and clean. And the Inn owner and bar manager warm, informative and eager to fulfill guest needs.
This property is with modern amenities. We would have liked the room furnishings to have reflected some of the English charm we have read about. BUT, perfectly acceptable with an olde charm pub!
