Staff were really great. Meals were lovely. We loved the fact they sold the local wine. Rooms are as modern as they can be. Location is perfect and you get free parking which is brilliant. The hot water and water pressure was excellent.

Sofa bed was very uncomfortable and I would say not suitable for anyone over 10. Pillows for main bed were too soft. Husband struggled to get our large SUV into the car park through the building gap but her managed it. If you are a nervous driver though it could be tough but hotel have made a good car park out of what space they have.

It's a great pub in the heart of Tenterden - there was live music and lots of space to sit outside in the evening sunshine. The bed was comfy and there were some nice touches such as freshly baked cookies in the room.

For the price, I would expect to have breakfast included and proper AC rather than just a fan (we stayed during a heatwave so not always applicable). The check in experience was also a little chaotic to begin with but overall not a big problem, we were given our keys to check in ahead of the usual time which was much appreciated.

Very comfortable hotel on Tenterden High Street. Our room was large, charming and well-furnished. It was a very hot day and we were provided with a high- quality fan to keep the room cool, which was most welcome! . The room had good tea and coffee facilities, including a Nespresso coffee machine, The owner was charming and helpful, as were all her staff. There is a large private car park behind the hotel and a nice terrace at the front.

The hotel is in a very old building, so be careful of uneven floors, steps and some creaky boards.

Lovely location, great pub, good food and big comfortable bed. I LOVED the fresh baked cookie that welcomed us in our room along with a lovely selection of tea and Nespresso coffee machine. Simple, but a nice touch.

It was a heatwave and the room didn't have aircon and the sash window didn't fully open (understandable safety lock). They provided a fan, however an aircon option would have given the full 10* Only other thing I'd recommend is a decaf tea option... but that's being picky, I really loved the little tea/coffee/cookie selection.

Excellent location on High Street. Very characterful, warm twin room (at back so very quiet) with ample hot water, big, fluffy bath towels, comfortable beds and pillows and good quality tea and coffee. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast (extra) was delicious, and the hotel was very good at dealing with special dietary requirements. Excellent evening meal. Hotel has its own parking behind the hotel.

Annoying milk sachets in room - the sort you have to tear open and which either won't open or squirt you in the eye. Little round cartons are much better!

we booked a family room and were very satisfied with the size and position. will book the same room for our next visit. terrific location right on the high street and with convenient free hotel car park behind.

slipping standards were definitely noticed. no breakfast cereal available any more (you have to take your own), and and only odd tasting yellowish liquid, presumably 'orange' juice for breakfast. also hand cream has disappeared so i had to go and buy some as i had expected it to be still there. otherwise - great stay - we'll be back.

The staff were exceptional, Mia specifically was so kind to help us out as well. The room was great the food was really good, the location was lovely we visited a local vineyard Chapel Down which was truly worth the visit.

The only piece of information i would share, is that if we hadnt joined into the live music and stayed until it finished and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, it would have been incredibly noisy is the first floor bedroom. It was noisy with everyone leaving but this didnt bother us, it may bother others.

The staff we all incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, and the evening entertainment was even better. We had a lovely little room on the top floor, made for hobbits. I think they must wait to see the guests before choosing them a room, as I can imagine a lot of tall people would be displeased on the top floor. Me and my wife on the other hand, at 5,6 were more than happy.

Unfortunately, the Guinness was really really bad. I do Guinness reviews in my spare time around different pubs across the country, and I gave this a 1.5 out of 10. It really was bad, and was served in a dirty Ale glass, which is quite surprising as everything else was clean and tasted great. Don't let this put you off though if you like Guinness, as I could have just been unlucky.

Friendly staff. Excellent room (called Horatia), clean, fresh, good tea and coffee making facility. Good local beer (The Old Dairy Brewery) at the bar, good food for the evening meal. Children welcome for dinner. They phoned me after we left to inform me that I had left my phone charger in the room, for which I am very grateful and I returned to collect it.

I wish breakfast could have been included. The traditional pub breakfast is something I relish and I missed the usual breakfast buffet of cereal and tinned grapefruit while a full English is being prepared. We had to order from the menu and 3 cooked breakfasts plus tea & juice came to £35. The plug in the bath failed to keep the water in, but I let the team know so I'm sure this minor problem is fixed by now.

Great location on the High Street with free parking on site. The staff were friendly & attentive & very helpful. We stayed on a Friday night and it was a bit noisy but to be expected when staying at a popular pub and restaurant. The bed was very comfortable & the room was well equipped with good quality tea & coffee supplies. The food in the restaurant was great and the staff were all excellent.

Some people may find it a bit noisy over a busy weekend but that wasn’t a problem for us.
