We loved everything about this property! Suzi and Paulo (and Lola the dog) were super friendly and gave us a great tour, the building itself was beautifully decorated, and the grounds well kept, the rooms and facilities clean and warm (but you can turn your radiator off or open a window if you like it a little cooler). It had great character and felt almost magical - it’s clear that a lot of thought, care and effort have gone into making this a perfect B&B. The food was tasty and fresh. Overall we had an amazing time and it was an absolute pleasure to stay her. Highly recommend.

Nothing - it was all great!

We stayed with Paulo and Suzi almost two years ago - and it was just wonderful to catch up with them again; it really was like staying with old friends. From the warmth of the reception, to the cleanliness of the rooms; the fabulous breakfast, the gorgeous garden and surroundings, we couldn't have felt more welcome or more looked after. Nothing was too much trouble. We can hardly wait until we get the opportunity to return! Martin & Paula

Nothing - it was idyllic.

It was set in beautiful location. The house was at the end of the road so very quiet with no traffic. The owners were very friendly and made my wife and I feel very welcome. There was a small lake at the back of the house and we sat on a bench by the lakeside and watched the sunset.

We had a few problems finding the house. The address was perfectly correct but a small hand drawn map would have been handy. It had been a long drive for us so we were a bit tired and we got a bit lost. We were actually very close, just needed that bit of extra help. The owners were very helpful on the mobile and we found the house.

At first we were looking for accommodation in Tewkesbury, but found this little gem in a village just outside. The room and accommodation were immaculately clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty and freshly cooked for us. Afterwards we were able to spend some time in the beautiful garden and sit by the lake to take everything in.

There was very little I didn't like about the Monkspool B&B. I lost my Mum to the bathroom for 40 minutes as the shower was so good and she really liked the shower gel provided. I completely lost my bearings when I returned after our evening out, but did find and enjoy the guest lounge and its light switches.

Fantastic , we couldn't find one negative about The Monkspool. Room spotless and comfortable, breakfast lots of choice and cooked fresh, Suzi&Paulo so warm and welcoming from the second we got there. Beautiful surroundings with its own lake with ducks and fish. Easily one of the best B & B's we've ever stayed in, can't wait to go back.

The Cottage is beautiful with a little lake at the back of the property. The room I had was small but had en suite facility, with nice little bathroom with a great shower 🚿 The room was cosy for a courting couple and the bed was really comfortable too. As for the Welcome... Well from start to finish, you couldn't have had a warmer welcome then what Paulo & Suzi gave us xxx There greeted almost as long lost friends and by the end of two day stay we definitely where. The breakfast was top notch both Mornings, quality food, the highlight being local gorgeous duck eggs, which I would of licked the plate if other guests were not present!! 😜

The only thing I didn't like was leaving, as these guys were just simply amazing.

The owners are extremely hospitable and immediately made us feel so welcome. They've recently acquired a sweet little shepherd's hut, which is a lovely size for a couple, and placed it down by the lake in their extensive gardens. Suzi and Paulo had clearly put a lot of thought into providing everything that we could want in the hut and we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We had a wonderful time at Monkspool.Set in a peaceful, beautiful little Hamlet overlooking the church.We had a very warm welcome and were shown around the stunning property. Our room was gorgeous with plenty of space, everything you needed including robes and slippers The bathroom was immaculate and we felt very well catered for. Suzie and Paulo were really helpful and we felt like we were staying in our own home The gardens are beautiful and include a lake that you can sit by, relaxing with a cup of tea. The breakfast was very tasty with a variety of options available and set in a quaint dining room.Very clean, nicely presented and a very nicely cooked English breakfast. Will definitely go back again.

To be honest. We could not fault anything in our stay. We was asked every day what we would prefer for breakfast. When it arrived it was hot and cooked to our taste. The room was clean and comfortable.

If i was being really picky then the only thing that the only very slight downside was the position of the shower room. As it was not on suite. The shower room itself was great , for the first time in any of our stays in a b&b The shower itself could actually be called a shower and not a dribble. You did not have to wait 10 minutes for luke warm water that you have to move around in to get wet. It was hot and instant.

Our hosts Suzi and Paulo were extremely friendly but totally professional. Nothing was too much trouble. They made us feel very, very welcome in their beautiful home. Everything was of super quality right down to the tea spoons! We were given a good choice for breakfast, and it was really well cooked and presented. The garden is beautiful, and a bonus was being able to play with the carp in their lake with my fly rod!

Our ensuite shower room was fairly small but perfectly adequate as far as having a shower and using the toilet was concerned. However the tiny oblong hand basin made it very difficult for washing your face or shaving.
