Hylands Hotel

Definitely worth every penny! So bad it was good. Pillows thin enough to shave with, one of them given to me out of another room because almost all their stock was supposedly in laundry. The plug socket was under the fitted table too far for the kettle lead to reach, so somebody had kindly torn the table off the wall. Room smelled of dead mouse. Every few hours the keycard gave up the ghost and I had to get a new one. I enjoyed my stay a lot, spent much of it laughing my ass off. I wanted the Fawlty Towers experience and this is as close as I have ever got.At just twenty quid a night I will definitely stay again for the sheer entertainment value. Doubt my girlfriend will.....

The staff were amazing! In particular, Rami was excellent. Free parking & WiFi. Excellent large room , clean bedding, clean towels, and tea facilities. Decent size tv Security cameras everywhere felt very safe Had no issues with any other guests. the hotel is known for housing the homeless, which we found admiral. Everyone we came across was polite and didn't bother us at all. No noise at nighttime, had a lovely sleep. Very spacious room.

No hot water for bath

I booked this reluctantly as some of the reviews were terrible but I was pleasantly surprised, my room was dated but really clean. The staff were welcoming and I had no issues during my stay. The location is good and handy for city centre its only a few minutes walk away

The fixtures and fittings could of been improved but for a budget hotel everything was to an acceptable standard

For the price I paid, hotel more than met expectations. Big double ensuite with comfy bed. Clean room. Electrics and plumbing albeit old worked fine.. Big TV. Very quiet room as 30 m away from main road. Friendly staff doing a good job.

This hotel gets very bad reviews as it is old and has lacked investment over the years but customers have to review it in function of the price. I paid £39 and in places one bed in a dorm costs more than £30. No breakfast is provided but I found a very good cafe where I had full English in the centre of town.

Again, I am very happy to experience this hotel. The employee, Rami, helps you with everything and welcomes you every day during my stay. He is very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are excellent and some of them are very spacious and clean. It is not true what you saw from the evaluation. A hotel needs a better evaluation. Try to warn Overnight and you will see the hospitality, welcome and warmth in the place. A happy stay as I liked my stay with them.

I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and clean the rooms were - it wasn't the Ritz but given the price nobody should expect that! The reviews really worried me but actually it was a perfectly fine stay.

There was a bit of a musty(?) smell in the room, and I spotted maybe 1 thing that could be cleaner but it certainly wasn't bad. Again, really pleasantly surprised and happy with what I got for my money.

The room was clean and tidy and a comfortable bed. A bar in the entrance means you can have a drink. Staff were very pleasant and understanding

Was some problems with the power during my stay, which affected the heating, but the issue was sorted out quickly. The bathroom lacked plugs in the sink and bath. I was told later I should have asked at the Reception!

Big spacious room, super king size bed 😁 very warm, as stayed for 5 nights had comfy sofa tv and great WiFi signal 📶 would highly recommend

Can't complain everythink was perfect for me and great value for money so i have already booked my next stay 🙃

I can see I like the stuff especially the Lebanoni guy named Ramy, wonderful person, respect him self and you and others, helpful if you ask him, and hotel nice worm and quite nice room and place, that I like to be fun.

Very friendly guy on reception desk. Very helpful. Making sure we was all ok. Rooms a nice size Beds extremely comfortable I would definitely stay there again. Thank you for making us feel welcome

It's a bit outdated but definitely can't complain as the price was so good.
