ibis Coventry Centre

Great Location. Ample parking. Amazing staff. Comfortable double beds.

Single beds are extremely uncomfortable. Every time you flush the bathroom it literally smells of sewage. Having stayed multiple times it’s a recurring problem and needs investigating.

Great location, handy to town centre. Every staff member was friendly efficient and very helpful. Beds were immaculate, tea coffee facilities in the room, hairdryer and extra pillows provided. Plenty of sockets for chargers etc handy with kids and devices, free wifi and trendy lounge and bar with telly for relaxing in. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

I feel the cleanliness of the bathroom could have been better (plus no lock fitted) and the variety on the restaurant menu could be improved on, a lot of food ran out by 8pm but what we ordered was very nice.

The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly. The service was very efficient. The Triumph Brewhouse which was a two minute walk at 33 Parkside was wonderful to visit. Coventry brewed beer within a homely setting, lovely cakes and food. Well worth a visit if you're staying at the Ibis.

There was a slight drain smell but pushed the plugs in and shut the bathroom door and it wasn't noticeable.

I liked how the staff were very friendly. The TV was pretty good too. Bathroom was clean. I loved that I messaged the property asking for decorations and they did a very cute decoration, no questions asked. It was lovely for me and my partner.

The fact that our stay was so short! Just a very quick note, it said there is an iron in our room, we couldn't find it. Though maybe we didn't look properly Whilst it was close to the train station, it's a bit scary to walk through a brief tunnel to get to the hotel. It was scary to walk through at night. There could be another way to get there from the train station. (Maybe there is but I'm not local)

The room decor was nice. We was pleasantly surprised when we opened the door. The room didn't look cheap or "budget" The bathroom was great. Big enough car park. Not far to walk to the town. Car park was only £5 for 24 hours.

Either the TV or TV remote didn't work. Had to reach behind TV fixed tight to the wall to switch the plug on, then turned it on with remote but then couldn't do anything else. This was after midnight when I found this out and my wife was already asleep so I couldn't be bothered to ring reception. I just informed them in the morning. Smelt like wet dog in the reception when we arrived. The shower although superb water pressure and plenty of space plus shower gels etc, the shower head points directly at the door which have circle cut outs in for opening, the water was all over the bathroom floor by the time I was done. Bit of a design floor that.

Room. All I wanted. Pretty central, so convenient for my needs.

Bar prices! They didn't offer me a refund for the second day's parking of my two day stay, after I canceled the second day ( nothing to do with the hotel). The hotel said I was to contact Booking.com for the refund of my second day. Trying to do so by contacting Booking.com to claim a refund from them is high on impossible, as I believe it's meant to be. The system is deliberately designed to be unworkable from a client's point of view, from a refund perspective.

The breakfast was great (& hot food unexpected). Big selection, always choice and enough, other food was lovely too (pizzas are fantastic). Staff were all friendly and welcoming. The location is great, 5 min walk to town and to the train station with. buses nearby. Also great, very high pressured shower. We will stay there again. Can't fault it really

Couldn't see any bottled water for sale and there was no mini fridge in the rooms to store any that we managed to get from shops. But that is relatively minor.

We were here for one night, in a twin room. All the staff were very helpful. The beds were comfortable. The buffet breakfast was enjoyable with plenty of choice.

The shower doors didn't meet the floor so it leaked into the bathroom when used. Carpets were a little tired. Our room was ground floor and only had opaque film on half of the window, so didn't feel very private when the curtains were open. Had to negotiate some dodgy underpasses to get to the hotel on foot from the town centre.

Great central location. Hotel was clean and modern and the food (we had dinner) was excellent. The vegan curry was lovely. Great taste and portion choice. Good variety at breakfast. The room was so dark and quiet and bed so comfy that we got an excellent few nights sleep. Rooms really lovely and clean. All hotel staff so friendly with great service.

We had to keep asking for more milk, tea bags and toilet rolls. Could have been more generous with the above. Towels were very small and only one per person so asked for extra and staff were more than happy to accommodate.

The building itself was surprising as it was an old factory and so a nod to the cities past. Although it looks like hotel inside from the outside it has retained all it's character from the days when it was a factory such as the painted 'cycle works' sign on the side of the building. The small ibis sign isn't overly prominent, which is appropriate for this particular building. Inside the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast area was also clean.
