Crowne Plaza Aberdeen Airport, an IHG Hotel

Check In: very helpful & friendly young man. Able to answer our queries. Made us feel welcome. Early eve meal: didn't have to wait long for our meal. Served with a smile. Waiting staff very friendly & efficient. Hotel's location within 5 mins walk to airport terminal, was a real bonus.

Breakfast should be included in the price when you're paying well in excess of £100 just for a room. Lighting in the en-suite bathroom is rather poor, especially when ladies are applying their make-up! Poor security: anyone could walk straight into the lifts without being challenged as to whether they're hotel guests etc There needs to be some sort of access code system to use the lifts.

Large comfortable rooms, freindly staff.

Breakfast was hit or miss, some mornings in all honesty it was almost unedible, bacon and sausages very dry and over cooked. Yet 2 of the mornings it was a totally different standard and was hot, fresh and tasty. Just some consistency to the quality of the breakfast would be better. Maybe investing in a better way to hold hold it also, as tends to dry out quickly under the hot lights without actually retaining much heat in the actual product. The bed we had was large however the duvet did not fit the bed and was not enough to accommodate 2 people sleeping. We were given a bigger duvet but again not to the size of the bed and it was not in a duvet cover, it was in a sheet.

Very comfortable room in quiet location. Good dinner in restaurant with excellent friendly service from Barry on the bar.

We were told that breakfast on the Saturday morning finished at 10.30am. We went for breakfast around 9.30am. No one asked us if we wanted tea or coffee - we ended up randomly with both. Staff at breakfast were not very attentive. We navigated the buffet but the cooked food had been sitting out for some time and was dry and not that hot. At exactly 10am the "hot" breakfast buffet was cleared away by a very abrupt lady chef ? from the kitchen. When I indicated that I still needed to get toast, she gruffly stated that she was only clearing away the hot breakfast buffet. Zero customer service points for her!!

We had an excellent stay! We stayed in a club premium room specifically for the view of the airport runway and we loved it. Bed was very comfortable and breakfast was lovely. Staying in the club room we got access to a lounge where we got complimentary snacks and a selection of drinks, even alcoholic drinks between 5-7pm. Would definitley stay here again and recomend to a friend.

Only fault we have is that in the lounge there were no sugar free drink options other than water. My partner is diabetic so sugar free soft drinks would have been lovely.

We were attending the Deacon Blue concert at the P&J Live concert venue which was only a 20 minute walk from The Crowne Plaza so was a great location for the venue. The female who checked us in was so friendly and made sure we knew everything we needed to know regarding Breakfast times and said to phone reception if we forgot to ask her something. The room was spacious, very clean and the bed was comfortable. A lovely Hotel with well spaced out Lounge area for the bar and for at Breakfast time.

After driving for over 4 and a half hours to get to the Hotel, I decided to shower and change before the Concert, I discovered that the Shower Drain cover was broken and when I touched the end of it with my foot it moved and was not attached in any way to the drain, someone could have stood on this and slipped and injured themselves. I reported this to the Reception Desk in person a short time later and expected some form of repair to be carried out whilst we were out for the evening but discovered on our return it was still in the same condition.

The best option when travelling to Aberdeen. Walking distance from airport, i had a room (531) with a fabulous view at the airport. There was a ceiling to floor window with direct view at the runway and the parked planes, though no sound came through at all! The food, both breakfast buffet and dinner was top notch, and so was the staff. Also a very decent bar where you can taste some fine whiskies for reasonable prices after an prolonged alcohol free stay offshore. When working in Aberdeen area, this is definitely my hotel of choice. Probably i'll even book this when i plan a short holiday with my family in Scotland next year.

The window was behind a thick layer of closed curtains, i can imagine that some travellers don't bother to open the curtains. I would standard keep them open so guests walk into a lighter room and instantly see the amazing view at the airport.

Very comfortable room, seriously convenient for an early morning flight from the airport (3 min walk). Breakfast was very good (though I had to rush it because of my early flight) and I had dinner at the restaurant which was actually really nice. Will stay here again if I'm flying from Aberdeen in the future.

Ultimately an airport hotel is never going to have bags of character - it's very clean and does the job well! I'd say breakfast should probably start 30 mins earlier, given so many people stay here because of an early flight.

Hotel was very clean, well organised and staff at the bar and restaurant were very professional. Particularly a young man who I think was the restaurant manager, his attention to detail and organisation was second to none. Also the food in the restaurant was excellent. I intended to eat out but after the first meal in the hotel after arriving quite late I decided to eat in the hotel all but 1 night.

The parking which charged residents £50/per night which resulted in contacting the hotel receptionist every time I left the car pack was highly frustrating, sometimes waiting several minutes to get out of the car part. This was a nuisance and highly inconvenient when often entering and exiting the car park several times per day.

beautiful and clean. lovely rooms and comfy bed. great location for the p&j live shows.. will be back again soon. staff all lovely and polite . only thing room service food isn’t great .. extremely overpriced for what it is but as to be accepted in a plaza hotel… over all great stay . would recommend staying here .. bit of a journey into the main centre but we had the car during the day so wasn’t an issue .

Generally very good

Food on the breakfast menu was not available and after waiting 25 minutes and checking I was told to change my order. Didn't bother and the following day didn't attempt to order my preferred breakfast in case I was delayed again. Nobody was taking responsibility for the order although all the staff were helpful. A pity really in such an otherwise good arrangement. However I am likely to stay again and try for the haddock on a morning where I have time to spare.
