The location was superb, such a revelation. Having the green directly outside without passing traffic meant it was a very safe place for our granddaughters to run around and have fun. Breakfast was great and the staff were amazing. All these things came together to make for a special stay. Although we only stayed one night for my wife's birthday the Tiger Inn made a great impression on us and we will definitely be back, hopefully this year.

Honestly, there is nothing we didn't like about the Tiger Inn and consider it a great find. We stayed on a lovely summer evening so it would be interesting to make a comparison in the winter as the outdoor space is so amazing in the summer.

Warm room, overlooking the green and the memorial. Comfortable bed. Plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The shower was superb. The staff were unobtrusively attentive. The pub vibe and the food were excellent.

Nothing really, but 10s are only given for truly unique and outstanding. Perhaps, though, a few pounds less would have been good; however, this would not prevent a return stay if all things are equal.

This is a gem. Situated in a quintessentially English village between the sea and the South Downs national park, set apart from the usual hustle and bustle of modern life. An oasis of calm and tranquility. Good food, comfortable accommodation and staffed by lovely people. Simply perfect

The bed was so comfortable The water pressure in the shower was amazing The breakfast the next morning was so good and such a large serving size The team working there were all so lovely and helpful The whole town is so beautiful and it was in such a convenient location to walk to the cliffs

The hotel is wonderful - me and my spouse had a fantastic "honeyday" trip after our wedding. But the best part is the walk (definitely walk!) to the Birling Gap from it. The views are truly magnificent, and everything about it is just magical. The most beautiful thing I've seen in my 6 years in England.

The choice of foods at dinner could be wider, but it doesn't matter. The breakfast is superb though.

Fantastic old inn in a very pretty location. Was lovely having drinks out on the green before going inside for dinner. The breakfast was also very good with fresh local produce. Was totally stuffed!

Room smaller than anticipated (looked larger in pics!) ... but large shower was great

The location was great, if you are beer drinker and appreciate local ales, than you will love this place. Good food, and friendly staff. The room was comfortable and just right for our one night stay. There are some amazing walks around the pub, and you plenty of car parking spaces.

The location was so dreamy, the stuff was wonderful and the shampoo and hand wash products were of exceptional quality. I will definitely go back and recommend it!

The staff are fabulous. So friendly and helpful. The room was warm, very clean and comfortable. In the room, it was nice to have a choice of drinks and plenty of sachets. Breakfast was superb.

Not staying an extra night!
