The room I stayed in (the attic room) was very clean and conveniently laid out with thoughtful design touches like a self-locking door and main light switches by both door and bed. There were thoughtful touches such as complimentary toiletries and as selection of biscuits to have with your tea including Tunnocks marshmallow teacakes. The en-suite bathroom was similarly well laid out with modern and stylish fixtures and fittings. The rainfall showerhead was just the thing the morning after a walk across the Seven Sisters. The breakfast selection was excellent with all the staples you might expect and also some surprising alternatives, freshly cooked to order.

There was nothing I did not like about the Ravilous. Chris and Caroline were perfect hosts: responsive to individual needs and being genuinely interested in making your stay as comfortable and leisurely as possible.

We swam in the sea each morning, which was 5-15 minutes on foot from the hotel (depending on whether we went to the nearest beach or a quieter one). Breakfast was excellent: individually cooked and served. Hotel is on a quiet street, with good parking on the street. You're close to the bus station, with busses at 10-minute intervals to and from Brighton, which is excellent for walking on the Downs and along the coast. There are several good, modestly priced restaurants nearby. Your hosts were made for running this place and clearly greatly enjoy doing so.

There was very little to fault with the hotel or the staff. Eastbourne itself has an air of slightly faded Victorian grandeur.

A very warm homecoming to Eastborne, Great host, who take care of their guests with great dedication. Nice we could talk to them about the area, what we could visit. The property is uniquely beautiful. The room and bathroom..the decor …the towels .’’the breakfast. We felt very much at home here. Everything conceived and executed to the perfection. The location is superb. For us 1 address if we go to Eastborne again. A thousand thanks for these beautiful days,,in your amazing Ravilious B@B in Eastborne. Delicious breakfast each morning , lovely variety to choose from with buffet & cooked meals . Room was spotless , spacious lovely decor and superb views . Welcome pack of goodies on arrival in room & refilled each day . Excellent location for all sights , walking everywhere , to restaurants and sightseeing for the area. Chris & Caroline were exceptional hosts - with tips on all surrounding sights, restaurants , bus numbers etc. etc. We would highly this B & B for your stay in Eastbourne .

Absolutely stunning property, lovely modern and funky decor, had absolutely everything you could possibly need and more. The owners were so welcoming, helped me with my bags, explained about the local area etc and the breakfast was absolutely outstanding, the service was done on such a personal level, and with a warm freindly smile. I felt so looked after. The food was incredible, I had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toast and felt like I was at a Mitchellin star restaurant. The other selection of breakfast foods were lovely, fresh croissants etc and the lady came round refilling coffee and ensuring I was OK. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, even had a little tea cake! I had one of the best night sleeps in a hotel of my life. Everywhere was very clean also. Bedding was super comfy and towels very thick and fluffy. Great shower pressure, Loads of mirrors too. Great location, 5 min walk from the seafront and all main shops etc parking right outside too. It was so lovely staying somewhere I felt so cared for! Highly recommend.

Spacious, clean and comfortable in beautiful Eastbourne. A very short walk had us at the beautiful seafront, local eateries and shops. Even the train is close which made an easy day trip to Brighton and a perfect base camp for our entire short break exploring the local area. Chris and Caroline are wonderful owners/hosts and their care is apparent throughout their boutique hotel. The reviews are correct and this place exceeded our expectations, we’d happily stay again! p.s. on street parking and vouchers were super convenient and exploring/walking/hiking Seven Sisters cliff area, a must!

nothing, everything was wonderful

Very friendly owners. Went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Room was immaculate and included a wide range of tea and coffee. Bed was really comfortable and we left after 3 days feeling spoilt and very relaxed. Full English breakfast was included in the price and was amazing with plenty of fruit juices, cereals and yoghurts. Parking is available via parking permit offered by the hotel, for our visit, it was £2 for day.

We couldn't fault this hotel for anything. We knew it didn't overlook the beach when we booked so didn't expect a view of any sort,

This is an amazing accommodation. Starts with the fantastic hospitality of the owners Chris & Caroline. Chris is Mr Knowledge on Eastbourne & surrounding areas. Very helpful if you are there for cliff walks, pubs & restaurants etc. Caroline is so lovely and our morning catch ups were great. Both are great fun to spend time with. We were made to feel as if we were home. What more could you want on holiday away from home? Bed was so comfy, if we didn't plan long days trekking, we would probably just laze about between the beach and the room. Room was gorgeous, nicely decorated with ensuite shower room/toilet. A good size too with biccies and tea/coffee making options. There is also a bar should you wish to indulge. Lovely front patio and back garden area for usage too. Minutes walk to the beach front/pier. Brekkie was delicious! no complaints from us piggies. Opposite the accommodation is the International Tennis tournament arena.

I’m a fairly fussy guest and the solid reviews swayed me to book my stay at Ravilious and I’m ever so glad I did. Chris and Caroline are truly exceptional hosts who have built a phenomenal B&B that they should be so proud of. The rooms are spotless, spacious, blissfully comfortable, and has all the amenities you need during a stay away from home. I usually had early starts to my morning and they so kindly started breakfast earlier than usual which was such a lovely gesture. Thank you both so much for your wonderful hospitality!

Nothing. Everything was absolute perfection

Cleanliness. The place was absolutely spotless. We saw Caroline assiduously washing the furniture down. High level of friendliness/helpfulness of both hosts, they made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was very impressive in terms of both choice and taste. Location was central yet peaceful and quiet. Decor was smart and contemporary. Wi-Fi was more than up to the job. Bed was very comfortable.

The attic room was hot, admittedly it is unseasonably warm for September. We opened all the windows we could (only one plus the vent at the top can be opened) and had the fan turned to the maximum, but it was still hot enough to wake us up.
