The breakfast was SO great- such great value and kept us going all day until an early dinner. The room was lovely, as were all the staff. Thanks for letting us keep luggage there after checkout, and thank you for such a wonderful stay! We loved it and hope to stay with you again, and definitely recommending to family wanting to travel to Edinburgh.

The shower in the Courtyard room filled with water immediately after the water was on for just about thirty seconds. Probably just needs a plumber to snake it, but we could really shower longer than a quick rinse off.

- Nice service, very friendly owner - Lovely small breakfast with warm options to choose from - Nice common room - Cosy towels - Very clean - Spacious room - Complementary wine

- Garden room was dark, window didn’t allow much daylight and electric light was also quite dark - Room was cold and radiators didn’t help a good climate - No attention to details in the room - Mattress was not comfortable - A bit overpriced for what you get

Beautiful Georgian property in the new town within walking distance to all the amenities and landmarks.

The Wi-Fi in the basement level rooms is weak and cuts out from time to time which is challenging at times.

Really amazing place - room much bigger than expected, with an exceptionally comfortable bed. Location is incredible and the check in/out process as well as ordering breakfast was all super smooth. I have no doubt that I will try to stay here again if we are passing through Edinburgh.

Not a lot of free parking nearby, however there is a little bit of metered (not residents only) just along the road, and more free parking nearby, too. This wasn't a big deal at all, once we figured it out!

Breakfast was superb. Plenty of choice, fresh berries, croissants (fresh and flaky), traditional cooked or smoked salmon with nicely scrambled eggs. Very comfortable bed, and a slightly worn, Scottish Bloomsbury, old money elegance was just my choice. If you want soulless, shiny and square, it may not be your thing. Staff were very accommodating and the service was good. The location was quiet, civilized and safe albeit on a major road. Holyrood Palace was an easy walk away and so was the old town. If you're infirm it may not be so easy. WIFI was easy to access. Check in was flexible and accommodating.

Given the restrictions of the building, it's difficult to be justifiably critical. Do I want a telly in my room? probably not; many may disagree! Hanging space for clothes is OK for a few days.

We were delighted with our stay at this guest house after 10 days travelling in the Highlands. Location was excellent for walking up to the fabulous viewpoint at Carlton Hill and along into town. The guesthouse itself is an incredibly beautiful and fabulously decorated home. Room was marvellous with an enormous comfortable bed and everything we needed. We were given a very friendly welcome and all the information and advice needed. Breakfast was served in the dining room and we were very well catered for being vegetarian. Would certainly recommend to any couples visiting Edinburgh who would like to stay in beautiful Edwardian townhouse rather than a run of the mill generic chain hotel.

We had no complaints at all.

Six Brunton Place is an absolutely lovely place to stay in Edinburgh. Truly authentic and the host’s attention to detail was amazing. The amenities that she has chosen are very high end and luxurious. The breakfast provided was really delicious. There is also a fantastic restaurant directly across the road which I also highly recommend for lunch or dinner.

I hate to complain at all, as the place was amazing, but I would say that the mattress was a tad hard. It didn’t quite fit the luxury of the amazing linens and decor. Also, as it was our first time in Edinburgh, I also wish it was a bit closer to the center of town. While not far, it was too long of a walk to just drop off purchases or grab a sweater and head back out.

We were delighted throughout the stay! The amount of attention to detail was impressive. The room with a large bathroom was very clean. There was a soft carpet on the floor of the room, the bed was incredibly comfortable. The room had a bathrobe, a supply of towels, a coffee maker, a kettle, sweets. Entire facility was very cozy, we felt well taken care of. The made-to-order breakfast was delicious, plentiful. We were really pleasantly surprised by this bed & breakfast and would love to come back one day! During our short stay, we felt better at this hotel than on a tropical all-inclusive holiday. We recommend!

Nothing.

The whole experience was excellent. No 6 is a beautiful house and the owner is extremely friendly and helpful, getting the balance just right in terms of ensuring the privacy we value so much. Our bedroom was very comfortable, particularly the king size bed and heating. Breakfast was exceptional in terms of the range of food on offer and being well cooked and presented. The location is a little out of the city centre and that suited us. (It was only a 15 minute walk to Princes Street or Holyrood House.) We certainly expect to return the next time we are in Edinburgh. We paid a little more for this stay than we normally would, but it was very much worth the extra outlay.

Hard to find fault with anything. The shower door was a little heavy to manage, but this was such a minor thing and it didn't detract from the overall quality of the accommodation.
