We liked that it was in the heart of the city, my daughter is attending Hartpury Uni and we wanted to take advantage of the city for a 2 days and night

I will say that the only down fall about our stay was the neighbouring room to the left of us , had the Tv on all throughout the stay to wake up at 4 am and the television still on until they left at 9:20 am. Also the sting smell of blow in the toilets , at certain times of the night and early hours can only think that the neighbours were enjoying themselves and a little chilled that the Tv was still on into the early hours…

The rooms are nicely furnished with everything you need.

Being disturbed in the early hours of the morning by an alleged security guard who had let himself into the room. Therefore he must have had a key to the room.

Excellent central location in Gloucester, a much better room than we expected for tje proce. Although they were in tje pictures the mocrowave and fridge weren't mentioned as amenities. Good shower, comfortable bed and very quiet despite being right in town. All staff we met were very polite and friendly

Just one negative, the mattress protector and the fitted sheet didn't really fit the bed well so we both woke up several times lying directly on the rather bobbly mattress. Got back to sleep very quickly though as bed was comfortable

Receptionist Charlie: Clearly answered my questions good-humouredly. Room: At my request fresh towels were supplied for the second day. : Appropriate alligator textured wallpaper on wall behind bed head! : Window was openable at my convenience. Location: Very conveniently within walking distance of both a car park and the Cajun and Zydeco Festival venue, plus restaurants and a mini supermarket. Single bed: Fine for me but probably not for a stouter person.

Room : C15 is adjacent to the boiler house...took some getting used to the intermittent "rushing water" sounds. Shower, loo and handbasin room: No heated rail, so very cold in January to step in to and therefore, no way to dry towels oneself. Initial smell of ?blocked drain? but maybe that's what the workmen were sorting out, when I checked in? Bedding: Clean cotton sheets, 2 pillows and a duvet supplied. Fortunately I had a 'throw' with me as I found after midnight I needed an extra layer. Room heating: Was made aware to leave one door key card in its slot inside the room to ensure heating stayed on in my absence but not sure how to 'manage the controls'

Very good value. We had a room with disabled access as I have limited mobility.

Only problem was in the bathroom. There was a lovely large walk in shower but it didn't have any grab rails. Adding a couple of vertical rails either side of the shower head and a horizontal one around it would have made all the difference. It would also be handy to have something to sit on. It doesn't need to be anything elaborate - a plastic garden chair with arms would be simple to provide. I don't like fold down seats on showers as they don't feel very safe. Apart from this the room was very good!

Staff were incredibly friendly and provided good suggestions for places to eat. The room was clean and well-equipped with a fridge, microwave and crockery, so I could have made a basic meal if I had been staying for longer. Excellent location at the centre of town.

There is no option of breakfast, but there’s plenty of places to eat nearby. The bedding was clean but old, so it was bobbling and worn in places. Through no fault of the hotel, but quite annoyingly, I was awoken throughout the night by by the amorous pigeons and seagulls nesting right outside my window.

The room was more like a studio apartment rather than just a room. There was also a fridge, microwave, glasses and cutlery which we did not expect. It was a very good size, plenty of space and other seating.

The shower was a waterfall shower, which I think is very much personal preference and could have done with the normal shower attachment too. The shower head was right in the centre too which meant you couldn’t move away from it to wash properly without the shower gel being sprayed off straight away! Had to turn off then back on! This wasn’t a major issue just my preference!!

Nice room in a little courtyard out the back. Great facilities as there was a fridge, microwave, cutlery and crockery. Wish I had known about all this as I wouldn't have bothered to bring my own stuff for breakfast! Very conveniently situated for the event we were attending.

Although the weather was quite cool, it was very hot in the room and the fan provided only just made it possible to sleep. It would have been bad in very hot weather, as it was ground floor and the small window barely opened.

The room and location were fine, because we have stayed her on several occasions before. However on this occasion we had an issue with the bed, not that we reported it, but the Mattress seem to thrown us together, when we could have been able sleep a little more separately on the same mattress, as we do at home, but because we were only here for four days, we managed.

As mentioned previously the Mattress on our bed could have been better, other than that, we did not find any problems.

I liked the staff, they were all very welcoming, and they recognised me from when I had stayed there in the past. The room was also really good, it was large and there was loads of room to move around. I also liked the location as it as in the heart of the city centre, making everything accessible.

The one thing that I didn't like was the fact that in the bathroom, which was huge, had no storage area/draws or table to put any toiletries on. This meant that all of my products had to be on the floor. Similarly, there was no towel rail, so the towels had to left on the floor too.
