Beautiful location with views overlooking Morecambe Bay 10 minutes walk from Grange over sands Town centre. Staff were really nice. Breakfast buffet had plenty of choice and was nice and fresh. Dinner was great. We stayed in the rock house with one of the larger rooms and a private patio which was perfect for us.

Parking at the rock House was a little tight, the main hotel has plenty of parking but if you want to park closer when staying in the annexed buildings there may not be enough spaces for all the rooms. We didn't have a problem but did notice others had to park at the bottom of the drive. I parked next to the chalets one morning and had someone tell me I couldn't park there, which was clearly not the case. I don't think he was staff so I pretty much ignored him and carried on about my business. Really very little bad to say about our stay!

Amazing building, great customer service, happy to go the extra mile. Clean, comfortable hotel in lovely grounds in which we actually saw deer running one early evening. Good location being a short walk to station, town & promenade. The food was gorgeous, maybe a little dear but it was top quality. Buffet breakfast but efforts were made to ensure available food was at its hottest & freshest. Everything to high standard.

The room allocated was not the room booked, disappointing as it felt we were a bit dumped in it, especially as we'd booked well in advance. Family room with single bed that had a towelling cover, like an old worn comfort blanket. Totally out of character with the rest of the room/hotel. Lack of natural light at one end of the room but lighting was spot on when you needed it. Not the comfiest bed we've had either.

Dinner and breakfast are okay but the location of the restaurant is just perfect at all times of day and weather. just makes it really an experience with almost unlimited view. The room was very clean and with simple style that also matches the era of the building. Wifi and tv tech could be a bit better although not a must

I know this is consistent to the whole area or industry/uk, but last order at 8:15 pm in the middle of the summer in an area where you 'll be exploring outside, and already being the best restaurant in the neighbourhood it is very restricting to make everyone run back to the hotel so early, everywhere else in europe an 8:15 last order in the summer is unheard of, does not make sense for the customers, only makes sense to the logistics of the kitchen, but hotels are made to offer an experience for the customer. they are not a civil service making the minimum needed effort.

The breakfast was brilliant and the staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and very professional. When I needed to grab some breakfast earlier than the normal service time of 8am they were very kind and helped me get an early breakfast. The cleaning staff were also very kind and helpful. The location of the hotel is very close to the train station and the views onto the bay are brilliant.

The only thing I would like to see changed would be the wallpaper in the room. It was rather dirty and scuffed and probably needs to be updated. Apart from that everything was brilliant!

What a fantastic place! It could easily be used to film an Agatha Christie novel. The view of Morecambe Bay from the front was stunning. Also the service from the hotel staff was excellent as was the buffet breakfast (we didn't eat in the hotel at other times of day but the dinner menu certainly looked tempting)

There were a few strange noises in the night (I would imagine these were down to the plumbing). However these didn't bother me after the first night. I can imagine that they could be used to good effect if a ghost story were to be filmed there!

We loved the location. Its perfect. the hotel to look at from outside is so stunning and draped in history. We stayed in the annex and would recommend this if you want some outside space to have a few drinks while your getting ready. We had a patio, table and cover and could see the beach. Check the weather as this is perfect for sunny days. Spa facilities are great and we had it pretty much to yourself.

The spa could have been better. Comes at an additional cost despite already paying £169.00 for 1 night. The sauna etc is great but the cold water dips are made from wood and you can smell a damp wood smell that i cant seem to get out of my Bikini. There was glasses left over from previous people and wasn't taken away or cleaned the whole 90 mins we were in there which is pretty poor. There is nothing to do there I.e go for food or shopping but trains to Ulverston etc are easy accessible.

Good Breakfast which was buffet style. Plenty of choice. We had dinner 3 nights, all food was very good. We were asked to book an evening meal sitting so chose 6.30pm. On our final day we we phoned at 3pm advising there was a wedding at the hotel and would have to eat at 5.30pm or 7.30pm. We don’t like eating late and was disappointed to be told we had to change due to the wedding. I don’t think this should affect residents.

Our room, no 33, was directly above the kitchens. Had we known this we wouldn’t have stayed. We were woken 6.15am each morning with crashing of metal pans and could hear the chefs talking. Also after dinner the staff congregated outside and were talking loud. We had to ask them to quieten down one evening. Did tell reception we weren’t happy and that it would have been courteous to advise we were getting this room. If no other room had been available probably would have cancelled. All reception said was they”d tell the manager. We can’t be the only residents to complain about this room. This did slightly spoil our stay as when you’re away and have a long awaited break from work you don’t want to be woken at the crack of dawn!

We were very happy overall with our stay beds were comfy, we could bring our dog for 20£ per night . loved the corkage fee 25£ for the whole stay we are newly weds so had champagne that we could enjoy in the beautiful grounds. very clean, cleaners did amazing job. Breakfast was amazing fresh and lots of options. Dinner was also a lovely experience.

The female waitress's all seemed to be very miserable, no spark,no conversation! Which is a shame a smile goes a long way ! The men however seemed a lot more cheerful, providing little treats for our dog which was very kind, going the extra mile.

A stunning Georgian building in a location that has beautiful sea views and within walking distance of Grange-over-sands promenade and shops. We had a very spacious bedroom with a very generous tea tray - loved it! Buffet breakfast was excellent! Local produce, good quality and plenty of choice!

Our bedroom was up two flights of stairs, not a problem for us, but could be for some and pillows were a little hard. Our main negative, and one never experienced before was the evening meal menu. What we did have was excellent food, although a little expensive, but the menu was limited and unchanged each night and for someone staying for more than two nights I can imagine it becoming a problem!

Whatever help I required was provided, even when that help went beyond the normal requests. I stayed for one night in order to go to an event close by. The local taxi service is currently not up to scratch and I could not get any answers from any of them. Luckily the reception staff helped with this and got me there the following morning. The room was great, Freeview telly, comfy bed, good coffee and tea bits and bobs. The hotel/spa is a fantastic place, inside outside and staff-wise. Well done, I was supremely impressed.

Absolutely nothing.
