Location was ideal as we were visiting friends who live in the village. Bedroom was very comfortable, and had been refurbished to a good standard. Full English Breakfast was good, if a bit standard. It would have been better if we had been able to specify which items were wanted. Loads of toast, both brown and white, but there was way too much for us. Which would seemingly go to waste.

This is a lovely hotel in Warton, a picturesque village, within easy walking distance of Carnforth. Great location and we only wished we'd had more time to explore the area. The two people that run the pub are doing a fantastic job of providing everything their guests need. We had a meal on arrival. Oh my goodness, it was lovely, beautifully cooked and plenty of it at a very reasonable price. The bar had a cosy fire and we sat there in the evening and had a lovely chat with the landlord and a local guy. Very relaxing. The room was huge with a very comfy bed. The bathroom (with a bath) was also huge. We had big fluffy towels - something we rarely see and everything was immaculate. We are often disappointed in the lighting in rooms. We like to read in bed and often there is only one light on one side of the bed. The lighting in our room at the George Washington was excellent. We even had a sofa in the room. Breakfast like lunch the day before was excellent. The woman who does the cooking there (I'm sorry I don't know your name) really knows how to cook - fabulous wholesome food. I only wish we'd booked a few more nights there because it is such a calming place to be.

I can't actually think of anything.

Great service, very friendly staff and a warm welcome, the food was freshly cooked and piping hot with a great choice. A nice warm open fire welcomes you when you have been out all day and a great selection of drinks available from the bar.

No bad points very happy with our stay.

It is easy to find, on the main road, with a big car park right alongside. Warm and welcoming, nice cosy rooms, good food and drink in the bar. The breakfast was freshly cooked and very nice. It's conveniently located for Leighton Moss bird reserve.

Food was only served until 7.30 PM, which I thought was a bit early, and the window of 8.30 to 9.00 for breakfast was quite small, but perfectly ok.

Location is actually stunning but needs a little exploration to discover that fact. Family run Inn, good beer, excellent breakfast. Well appointed and comfortable room.

The pub was very busy, we had to wait late for the most basic of evening meal. If you want dinner on your arrival date suggest booking ahead, if there is that facility. The connection of the Inn to George Washington is tenuous, but the theme was not laboured.

Lovely comfy room. Friendly staff. Really good breakfast. Nice range of complimentary drinks/snacks

Breakfast was lovely but gluten free version just had things taken off (sausage/black pudding) and no extra to replace. Hash brown also left off and these are gluten free. Really good gf toast! Not a complaint as breakfast still great but maybe just a tip to think about.

Hospitable hosts and a quiet night. We had a lovely large room, and an enormous well lit bathroom! The sofa in the bedroom was the pièce de résistance - very comfortable and much appreciated! Tasty evening meals at a reasonable cost were available in the bar. The breakfasts were also good. I liked, and used the back door - access to the car park, without going through the bar.

There were some slight plumbing issues. The toilet flush did not always stop when operated. The shower module's on/off switch did not work for me; I had to use the pull cord outside the shower area. Both issues were reported to the owner who promised to fix them.

Very friendly and welcoming hosts with an open fire and lovely vibe in the bar - a filling breakfast which set us up for a days walk over to Arnside. Great location which provides a useful gateway to the South Lakes. Very easy to park.

We liked the warm welcome, downstairs in the pub was friendly with a lovely atmosphere. The historic period of the hotel with sash windows brings charm and the village location as a setting is beautiful. There was an electricity outage from 8am till 9.30 but the owners did not let this halt our cooked breakfast. Their business continuity plan came in and on a grill they still produced 2 perfect cooked breakfasts and we were impressed. Very tasty sausage, bacon, egg and mushrooms. Went above and beyond for us! Thank you

Breakfast was excellent as was the meal we had in the evening. Freshly cooked and good size portions and good selection. Very good hospitality tray in the room.

Only thing that could be improved upon would be a shelf of some sort in the bathroom to put toilet bag on. A difficult ask as bathroom is quite compact, although ultra modern and spotlessly clean.
