I had a most enjoyable stay at the Shipping Lanes Hotel. I had booked it through booking.com some time ago and got a very good deal. I only wish that I could have stayed longer. The owners made me feel very welcome. My single room was clean, with a small ensuite, and it overlooked a fabulous view of the sea, with the Lake District mountains in the distance. The breakfast was an excellent, tasty, full English, big enough to last well into the day. I fully recommend this hotel, and I would not hesitate to return there next time I visit.

Fabulous location in Morecombe, right on the front across from the beautiful promenade, stunning views over to The Lake District. We were greeted on check in by Alan, who was smiley and friendly, we were able to choose our breakfast time and choose from a good range of cooked breakfast options. There was also cereals, fruit, yoghurt and toast available. Trudi and Alan seemed genuinely interested in what we did during our days out and made great hosts. There was off road parking available to the rear of the hotel, which was essential as Morecombe is very busy and on street parking is at a premium.

The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of food. The bedroom was clean with plenty of drinks available and milk was provided for tea and coffee. I liked the idea that the rooms had names of shipping lanes rather than room numbers and from the hotel there are Fantastic views accross the bay towards the mountains of the lake district. The owners Trudi and Alan made me feel very welcome

I can not think of anything that could have made the stay better. The location is about 5 minutes walk from the center of Morecambe

The hotel was in an excellent location, being within easy walking distance from The Platform, Happy Mount Park, the beach, bus-stops, pubs and restaurants. The room had a balcony which had stunning views of Morecambe Bay. The bedroom area was decorated beautifully. The bed was very comfortable, the furniture was good and there was a hospitality-tray. The room had ensuite facilities. All areas of the hotel, that I could see, were extremely clean. Breakfast was delicious, plentiful and filling. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The bar area and lounge were lovely. This has proved to be a fabulous hotel !

the whole experience staying in the shipping lane hotel was fabulous. we were made so welcome from when we first arrived and throughout our stay. from both Alan and Trudi. nothing was to much trouble. the hotel was spotless and decorated beautifully. there were many extras in the room. and even a fan was provided which for me was a bonus. you could tell Alan and Trudi had put so much thought into what they thought people would want for a really welcoming comfortable stay' and breakfast was something we looked forward to . there was a great choice to choose from i always started with the fruit and yogurt, and the cooked breakfast was always hot really well cooked and plentiful. and they still took care to provide sanitisers in different parts of the hotel again to me shows they really care and take pride in what they do. the views were stunning from the hotel and the location perfect. there was plenty to do and after a day out we would arrive back and sit in the lounge and have a few drinks from the bar which is another welcome addition and Alan and Trudi would come in and chat with the guests who chose to sit in the lounge and our dog was also allowed in which was fab as some hotels ask you to leave the dog in the room while in the lounge but Alan and Trudi love any dogs and they are just as welcome as the guests are. to me this hotel is tops and its hosts Alan and Trudi are just so warm and easy going. we will definately be returning again. and thank you so much Alan and Trudi for a fabulous stay . Exceptionally spotless, room extremely comfortable. Hosts, Trudie and Alan extremely friendly and professional, could not do enough and would go out of their way to help you. Alan and Trudie extremely polite and made you feel like at home, nothing was a bother or hassle to them. Location absolutely fabulous, overlooking Morecambe Bay, and near the town. Will always stay in Shipping Lanes Hotel when visit Morecambe, it's a DEFINITE must to visit and stay, certainly will not be disappointed.

Location was excellent , right on the seafront - we had a room with a balcony which was perfect to take advantage of the view . Hosts were really friendly and served up a perfect homecooked breakfast . Everything in our room was super clean and towels were changed daily . They were also kind enough to let us check in a bit earlier which was great . Easy stroll to seafront pubs and restaurants , 10 mins at most . Would definately stay again .

Great seafront location, lovely views, nice welcome, Trudi and Alan lovely hosts and great, friendly personal service. Fresh ‘cooked to order’ brekkie, and got parked at front door, hotel also with very modern and lovely tasteful decor! Spotlessly clean!!! Some nice ‘personal touch’ items in room too. Excellent value for money and defo happy to return when back visiting Morecambe!👏👏

A really lovely stay. Booked a few days at The Shipping Lanes, in the Trafalgar room. Your own private balcony, overlooking Morecambe bay. Trudi and Alan are incredibly welcoming hosts, friendly and full of useful information about the area. The family of Great Tits living in the roof would sing me awake, and come fly down to keep me company. The hotel has a homey feel, with a lot of love and care spent on the decor. The breakfast is absolutely amazing. Brilliant. Superb. Highly recommended.

The breakfast was excellent with everything cooked fresh, therefore it was piping hot. There was also a good choice. The dining room was pleasant and spacious

The bathroom was a little small although contained the essential facilities all in good working order. We would have liked a sea view but unfortunately there were no twin rooms with a sea view
