Best Western Lancaster Morecambe Lothersdale Hotel

Room was very clean, staff friendly and good location

The toilet in our room was broken, didn't flush and constantly running water, we asked to be moved to another room but where told that no other rooms where available which was quite inconvenient but not the end of the world

The best western hotel location was great. There is plenty of parking near the hotel.They have a couple of spaces at the back at a reasonable price.There is lifts to every floor, which was a big yes to me and my sister in law as we cannot do stairs.The rooms are a good size plenty of space for a mobility scooter,to be in there.The rooms are clean and have everything kettle,hair dryer.iron,iron board.We had our breakfast there,booked once we arrived at hotel.my partner and I loved the breakfast.And my sister and brother in law said they liked it, there was plenty of choice,Good value hotel.Right on the front of the beautiful views.

There is nothing I didn't like.

We had a great stay at the Lothersdale with absolutely no complaints. Great room and facilities with up to date décor, car parking at the rear which is charged for but still excellent to have. There's a cheaper 24h car park across the road as an alternative. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating to requests and the location is good for local pubs/eating/shops etc. We had a great 2 night stay in Morecambe for the Northern Soul event and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Morecambe.

Car park charges. These are becoming the norm for many hotels which is a trend that I do not like as 99% of visitors come by private car.

Hotel car parking - Having to pay £10 extra to park in the hotel car park was disappointing so parked across the road in the Council car park for £8. Usually car parking in a Hotel car park is free and part of the facilities offered by the hotel and to charge £2 more than a council car park across the road is well make your own mind up!!! Wifi - After giving away all my details to sign in to the Free guest wifi the wifi was non existent, it didn't work in the room or even at reception. The wifi failure did not bother me but could be frustrating for someone who uses or relies on it but I am sure the hotel has a pay for better wifi option?

The room was spacious and with a sea view (if you climb up:)) everything was super clean and the bar in the hotel was great to have a drink and watch the sunset. Parking on the street was safe, no problem to leave motorbikes there for a night (or on the beach parking nearby). Everyone was friendly, to the extent that we booked directly with the hotel another stay - for our return.

Nothing to dislike, really. A breakfast is a bit pricey, that's all the criticism. We can recommend this place for anyone going to IOM or returning.

View from the room was marvellous. Bed was comfortable & the shower was more than adequate. I liked the light in the bathroom mirror.

Distinct lack of storage - no drawers or cupboards. I think it may have been Booking.com rather than the hotel that said there was a safe - there wasn't. Rather curious to go to a hotel that only has housekeeping on request. We did request a towel change and bins emptied, which was done - old towels were left in the room. The waiting staff in the restaurant(school children?) do their best but service can be very patchy & slow. The young lady who did most of the work at dinner on 10/9 was magnificent.

Very pleasant staff, courteous, helpful and friendly. Appreciate the 24 hour reception desk, Will always book the room with sea view , as we have had first floor sea view rooms twice now and the view is worth every extra penny, day or night.

too busy to read the welcome letter, did not realise room would not be tidied unless we asked first. would prefer cleaning to be the default position not the other way round. Would prefer being able to choose own table at breakfast

For the price that was charged for the room would of expected breakfast to be included did have 1 evening meal and 1 breakfast at the hotel I found it a bit strange that there was a staff promotional meeting about Gin being held in the main sitting area of the restaurant, evening meal the food was nice but there was not a choice for a child’s menu as had my 9 year old Grandson with me there was nothing on the menu that he preferred and ended up with a Pizza I did feel the price of the breakfast was expensive

The room is perfect for one person. Very clean and pleasant. There is a tea and coffee set in the room. The location itself is an advantage, on the promenade, close to pubs and restaurants. The hotel also has a bar with a very nice gazebo outside. Beautiful view of the bay.You can do self check-in.

You can hear music from the hotel bar until late also can be noisy from cars on the main road just opposite hotel.

easy parking across the road. sea view as requested. re furnished room, the en-suite was good, decent shower. very clean. well appointed. ok hospitality tray with biscuits.

I had dinner and chose the signature belly pork. it was cooked ok ish, could have done with longer as some of the fatty bits and skin were not rendered down enough, it was accompanied by one carrot cut in half and one roasted potato. the cider jus was tasty, the cold apple chutney on top of the potato. the portion was extremely small for £18. the desert was lovely. breakfast had to be pre ordered the night before but I did get as ordered and it was ok,very similar to premier inn but not as much choice!
