Another fantastic stay at the Great Malvern, was very well looked after by Jeremy and Rani and all the excellent staff. Well appointed, large spotless rooms, nice bar area with many real Ales including Butty Bach. Breakfast was amazing as always, choose from a list of ingredients and Rani cooks it to order, served by Jeremy in his own humorous style! 3rd visit to the Great Malvern and we will return soon, thanks again for an excellent stay🙂
Nothing, as others have said, this hotel should really be upgraded from 2 star to 3 or 4 star.

Great location in the centre of town, with walking in the hills from the doorstep. Great breakfasts. Lovely bar with good selection of beers and spirits. Really friendly, helpful staff, especially the two managers. The Hideaway is really spacious but it is a bit weird having three bedrooms and a lounge but only two people can stay there.
Car park is rather small and fills quickly. Alternative parking is a bit chaotic and we got blocked in by a nearby shop worker. Couldn't have dinner either night we were there. First night was fully booked, so it would have been helpful to have known to book a table when I booked. Restaurant was not open second night. But really great Italian and Nepalese restaurants a minute or two away.

An all round good experience at this hotel. Location excellent (car parking limited but we managed to get parked always) and did not need to move it for over a day as such a central location. Good food and drink - excellent choices at breakfast and always well cooked and hot (where required!!). Comfortable room and great shower in excellent decorative order. We had quiet room at back and so not much view and maybe it would have been noisier at the front. Fridge in room and safe unexpected for a 2 star hotel - why not higher rating? Friendly staff willing to engage with residents.
Nothing major - maybe a slightly later finish for breakfast during the week?

My room was all I could wish for (apart from depressing view from the window - but as I was only sleeping there and could draw down the blind that didn't matter). All was comfortable and spotlessly clean, every need catered for. Breakfast was excellent with every taste catered for. Dining room spacious, warm and inviting with courteous, efficient staff making sure everyone had what they wanted. An 'old-fashioned' hotel with up-to-the minute facilities and on-the-ball professional staff who go that extra mile to make a stay special.
That view from the window - but of course there's nothing that can be done about it.

We stopped on a whim on our way back from a wedding in Wales and were pleasantly surprised with this reputable hotel from a bygone age of the Spa Town opulence. Rooms 4 and 9 had a double aspect over the plains and the Severn Valley, and also the Malvern Hills behind. We walked up the hill behind much to our surprise with it's amazing views looking down onto the hotel below. Steep but manageable if you take your time. We even managed to find a spot in the 6 car car park though alternatives were not too far away. Very friendly staff, we ate in and had a decent meal in the restaurant/bar. Breakfast was excellent served with a smile and some panache. Watched the world go by later on from our room with a view. Mini fridge in the wardrobe, safe, iron/board everything you need for a short stop.

Had stayed over a decade ago. It hadn’t changed - I mean that in a good way. Certainly a characterful building, formerly The Beauchamp Hotel (as shown in ‘photo of photo’ and then named after local aristocracy), it is decidedly traditional in feel. The bedroom had all the expected accoutrements for taking refreshment and the wardrobe included a safe, a fridge, a hair-drier, a fan and, a nice touch this, an umbrella. The restaurant and breakfast menu provided a wide choice, and the food was served in good time and with a pleasant manner. We liked it very much, and look forward to staying again.
Nothing we didn't like! The hotel has a small car park, and we were able to park there but at busy times it might be full. There is a public car park a few minutes walk away and cars can be parked there overnight for a modest charge.

Stayed for one night ( but had stayed once before) Lovely old building, very comfortable and clean. Staff including the hosts were lovely /welcoming and there were so many nice touches in the room ( I had room 14). which was spacious with the most lovely ensuite bathroom with a choice of bath or modern shower. Bath had bathsalts on the side which was lovely after a day in the hills!!! Dish of fudge on the dressing table was most appreciated!!!!!! Seriously love this hotel. Breakfast was plentiful/ lovely with loads of choices. The homemade muesli was very nice. I will stay again
Absolutely happy with everything so there was not anything I didn't like

The breakfast was excellent and such a lot of choice which you usually don't get in other hotels. The location was central, the staff friendly and there was a lively atmosphere in the bar. I think it is popular with the local people. The bar had an excellent choice of gins at reasonable prices. The room exceeded my expectations with a superb view and extras in the wardrobe like a fridge, a safe and an umbrella which you don't always get in more luxury hotels. The room was warm and the bed very comfortable. The hotel also had a unique characteristic feel to it with original features and old photographs on the wall.

The great Malvern Hotel offers you a warm and welcoming stay in a truly beautiful part of England. Our stay here exceeded our-expectations! It’s perfectly situated in the heart of town. It’s within easy walking distance to Malvern Theatre, restaurants and shops, The stunning Malvern Hills are also within easy reach. The rooms are spacious and super comfortable. The bathrooms are newly renovated. Jeremy and his lovely wife Rani provide an outstanding breakfast. They have a first class friendly team of staff helping to manage the hotel. Will definitely stay here again!

Friendly welcome when checking in. The room was surprisingly large and although some of the furniture was old, all was clean and in good order. The bathroom was new and very smart. It's worth mentioning the windows - they were new sash windows made from uPVC. Must've cost a fortune! The breakfasts were very good indeed - perfect scrambled egg and excellent black pudding almost on a par with Stornoway, and that's saying something!
Well, if I must find something - the safe didn't work, but I'm sure it would've been fixed if we'd asked. The bar is quite small, especially when used by diners, so difficult to sit and enjoy a drink (good range of cask beers).
