Staff were super friendly even before we arrived, they were really helpful in recommending a taxi driver to us for our stay. They remembered our request for an early check in and were really accommodating. Room was really clean and comfortable for our 1 night stay. We missed the breakfast slot in the morning but the lady on reception said she would sort us out breakfast and we had a fab full English which was great. Really recommend this place, it far exceeded our expectations and would definitely stay again if we are in the area. Perfect location if you're attending any events at Bredenbury court barns only 15 min drive away

No complaints.

we walked 20 miles along the Worcestershire Way from Bewdley to the Talbot and it was worth every step. a great old fashioned pub, with a bar and separate dining area. they have their own brewery ’Teme Valley’ and bakery. on arrival we received a very friendly welcome from the staff and locals, a great atmosphere. The food was very tasty and good value. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet. spacious bathroom with a large bath with piping hot water, with shower overhead. an excellent breakfast the following morning set us up for our 12 mile walk to Malvern. We’ve walked the Worcestershire way a few times but this was the first time we’ve stayed at the Talbot, but it won’t be the last time.

nothing all was great

Excellent location. Delicious breakfast with fresh raspberries and strawberries and toasted sourdough bread. Coffee in a pot, butter in a lidded dish, proper napkins and fresh garden flowers on table! Sadly no time to have cooked breakfast. Imaginative very good dinner. 4 water glasses, not plastic, in our room, bottles of water and well arranged tea/coffee tray. We were given sheets And blanket as requested. Many thanks The Talbot, we shall be back!

Music and chatter from games room below, but when asked they stopped.

Such a beautiful place and the history is embraced which is fantastic! The staff were brilliant and very friendly. The food was incredible. We were staying there as we were going to a wedding, we checked out Sunday morning but we loved it so much we booked another night Sunday afternoon. The whole place was clean and inviting, a stunning building. We would absolutely stay here again! I really must thank the staff again, they were great!

There is nothing we could fault with The Talbot

The food is legendary here. Really really ace. The location is really nice and the pub always friendly and with great service. Annie the owner is always nice and Abi was brilliant both behind the bar and serving. There was a new lad serving too who was really good too. Rooms are totally ok and have character with pretty much all you need in them....don't expect a modern boutique style or it being really posh rooms though. I accidentally left two expensive Mont Blanc pens there and they were honest enough to message me.

My bed had a big dip on one side and I think investing in some more modern Tempur style mattresses at some point would be a good idea. It wasn't an uncomfy bed as such but I think a new mattress would satisfy all guests.

Quirky ,full of history and tradition.Whilst the building is old the bedrooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean ….plenty of tea/coffee etc and bottled Malvern water .Outside areas spotless with plenty of seating and garden areas -and fantastic floral decorations..hanging baskets and window ledges .Owner more than accommodating as we were a bridal party had make up and hair people arriving very early the next day .Nothing was too much trouble .

Stairs are a little steep and carpet worn . Great menu at good price but staff shortages ( as there are everywhere in hospitality) meant service was a little disorganised and sometimes a long wait .

The location is lovely. There are some lovely walks around this area and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. The evening meal was very good value for money and the service was good. The staff were welcoming and polite.

Unfortunately the service at breakfast was not that good. There didn’t seem to be a system in place and people were left waiting a long time for their breakfasts. My husband had to ask for someone to take our order in the end. The breakfast was supposedly award winning but we both felt that was an overstatement. Also, we asked for toast but that didn’t appear until after we had nearly finished our breakfast. Having said all that, the breakfast was tasty.

This was one of the nicest country inns we have stayed in. Big open fire. Beer made on the premises. Dinner menu had new and seasonal choices which were delicious. Homemade bread, 3 types of home-made preserves and own black pudding for breakfast. We picked wild damsons that also featured on the menu. Big enclosed garden for kids. Quirky beer garden with champagne bottle sculpture. Monthly farmers market on the premises, beer festival once a year.

I loved it.

Great breakfast. Great staff. Lovely location. Lovely bar and even better beers, We were lucky enough to stumble into Curry Night (Thursday). Great flavours and very reasonable especially in comparison with the standard menu. Not to be missed. A large bedroom and comfortable bed was a bonus and the sharply sloping floor added to the intrigue!

It was a cold day and bedroom heating had not come on. Some attention to very draughty windows would not go amiss. (They could well be original 14th Cenrury!!) The shower took more than a bit a bit of coaxing in the morning!
