Excellent 3 day stay at this pub. Stayed in room 23 - large & spacious, really comfy double bed, big TV , good WiFi signal, all clean & tidy, shower/bath, extremely quiet for a good night's sleep. Every staff member was really nice & helpful (big shout out to Debbie at breaky, she's a star who goes out of her way to make sure all is ok during your stay). Breakfast was included (served 7-9am) and was cooked to perfection with top quality produce used. Location is excellent, in heart of town centre for shops & restaurants, very close to train station & buses, take visit the beautiful cathedral opposite too! I've already booked another stay here for later in the year. Many thanks & keep up the good work 👍

Could fault anything.

Interesting historic building. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent - good quality, varied menu, plenty of it. Good location for city centre and rail station.

Initially I was put into a room in which I couldn't get any hot water, I informed a staff member and was immediately offered a different room, which I was moved to and had lots of hot water. So my initial disappointment was short-lived. I understand that my first room was the only one which suffers from this issue, I was told it is possible to get hot water in that room if the tap is run for 10 minutes (I ran it for about 5 minutes).

Loved being able to have dinner down in the pub itself. It was reasonably priced. Hotel so close to Worcester Cathedral, just short walk across the square. Also, a short walk to beautiful Tudor and very old architecture. The hotel room itself was basic but fine. Included breakfast had great options - with some buffet fruits, juices and yoghurt plus choice from the menu of various options including full English and vegetarian equivalents.

Parking available but at a cost in nearby Cathedral carpark. We were made aware of this though and not a big deal as accommodation price reasonable.

Excellent friendly staff only to willing to assist. Rooms were compact tidy and clean. We had room 5 and the beds were so comfy. Best hot shower in the morning with awesome water pressure. Location was excellent near the cathedral. Large selection of food and drinks available in the bar. Hot and cold options available for breakfast. Good value for money. Would definitely stay again. Accommodation was ideal for an overnight stay.

Not a real problem but for dinner on our nite they did not have a very extensive spirits selection or some of the wines we preferred the new order was expected in a day or so. No onsite parking but either parking next door or just across the road was the cheaper option at 6 pounds for 24 hours in car parks.

Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is in a great location. Room was a decent size, clean and good value. The pub area retains some character. The bathroom was more than acceptable with plenty of hot water. The bed was very comfortable.

The hotel needs redecorating in the 1960s wing as it is looking rather tired. A few cracks in the plaster wall need sorting out. There was no discount available for nearest parking at the NCP car park that was £33 for 2 nights. Other local car parks were full. Parked at ASDA that was cheaper but 10 minutes walk with suitcases.

The staff are exceptionally friendly and hospitable. They make all the difference. Also, the breakfast is fantastic and filling. The cleanliness is outstanding considering the cleaners work with such an old building.

The building is, what it is, and it is not a hotel for every kind of stay. Very thin walls (I thoroughly enjoyed my neighbours' movie night, though I had to get up early in the morning), and in terms of fire safety/escape routes, and security (i.e. proper door locks, in-room safe) there isn't much to write home about. BUT this hotel never claimed to be a five-star resort, the very affordable room rate justifies everything and the fantastic staff make up for all of it. If you know what to expect then it is a perfectly fine place to stay.

This hotel is in a great location near the cathedral and close to many shops and restaurants. Foregate St train station is only a 10-15 minute walk away. My single room was a reasonable size, the bed was lovely and comfy and the shower was powerful. No problems with the wifi. The breakfast was fantastic, cereals, fresh fruits, greek yogurt, croissants were available, plus cooked breakfasts which were huge. I had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon one morning and pancakes and berries the next. There was also a vegetarian and a vegan option. What made this hotel special though was the staff, in particular a lovely lady named Debbie. So friendly, kind and helpful and genuinely interested in people. Nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely come back and stay here again.

My room was quite hot. There was a fan in the room but obviously there is little anyone can do to control the weather. Other than that, everything was perfect.

The Maitre de Debbie and the Chef Margi were outstanding everyday we were there. They were so very kind to my daughter, a mad gave us great advice for the local area. The breakfast was freshly cooked, the pastries were delicious and I really can't recommend breakfast from this great team enough.

The room was rather warm, and though I'm only 6ft tall, I found the beds a bit uncomfortable and unfortunately drove back with a bad back, and little sleep. But this wasn't down to the excellent staff.

Lovely continental breakfast, very helpful staff who quickly solved a heating problem. Eventhough my room was adjacent to the main road I was not aware of traffic noise or any disturbance. The location is ideal for the cathedral and the city shopping area.

The kitchen was out of action for evening meals during my stay but there are plenty of great places to eat close by. I really like this hotel - it met all my requirements so it was sad to see the decoration and the carpets in the corridors looking so tired.

Our 2nd visit to Ye Olde Talbot, the central location is great, we parked the car I n the multi storey next door & didn't use it again for 2 days! Worcester is a lovely city to explore on foot, nothing is too far away.! Lovely friendly staff, clean tidy rooms, we didn't eat in this time, as there is so much choice out in the city. We did have the Sunday Roast tho, which was lovely .We travel with our 2 Jack Russells , the Talbot, & most of Worcester is very dog friendly. We will definitely visit again soon.

The rooms are perhaps a little 'tired' looking, but they are clean & tidy with comfy beds. The bar & restaurant was running on limited hours..... not sure if was due to staff shortages? As there are so many places to eat & drink in Worcester , this didn't cause us any problems or detract from our stay.
