Spacious room and separate bathroom. It felt like a very private and secluded first floor suite. Lovely view. Rustic decor and swathed in art. Clean and crisp bed linen with very comfortable bed and pillows. Friendly and welcoming hosts. Rural setting with good off road parking. Breakfast was amazing; especially the bottomless filter coffee. Just outside the front door is a fantasy play area for children and pens featuring friendly miniature goats and friendly sheep.

The location was very convenient for work. The property is accessed off the main road, with a dedicated driveyway and good signage. Unfortunately I was travelling on a dark and rainy night and managed to overshoot the house twice - the postcode took me further up the road to a different house, so watch out for that. The hosts are excellent, the breakfast was very good. I liked my room, with a good deep bath. Hot water took a while so be patient. Overall happy and would stay again. Thank you.

Great B&B in lovely historic house on edge of farmland with beautiful views. Super welcoming hosts, Alice and her husband, a nice breakfast and lots of local information. The accommodation is in keeping with the house, so not modern but very clean, and all facilities we needed. Our suite was enormous and super comfortable with great views across the countryside. Lambs, sheep and goats chorused us each morning! great fun! thank you

Quiet location just outside Kirkconnel, with great views. James was very pleasant and the breakfast was good. Also the WiFi signal was strong in the bedroom. Plenty of car parking space too.

Room was a little tired and the bedroom door didn't close fully and the bathroom door wouldn't stay shut either. Toilet could have been cleaner.

The property was rustic and homely. A pleasure to stay in a traditional bed and breakfast.

I can’t say I had any dislikes. It was the perfect location for our wedding. The family were very friendly. The rooms very clean and beds really comfortable. Situated near a local village where we went for a meal.

Lovely clean rooms, beautiful setting and location. Great breakfast cooked to perfection. Excellent hosts, very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Thistle Suite, beds were really comfy and had a great night's sleep. Would recommend and stay again. Good value for money.

Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. You can see how much they love what they do and the guest house is cozy and beautifully decorated. it's in the country so very peaceful and quiet. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. They gave some great suggestions about what to do in the area and where to go for dinner. We loved our stay and highly recommend this lovely B & B

Friendly host, happy to accommodate your needs. Very comfortable memory foam mattress in the Thistle Room. Warm heated room. Breakfast on time, freshly prepared and hot.

Breakfast choice was required at time of arrival without fully knowing what was on offer . A paper order to be left downstairs before bed would have been our preferred choice as in other b and b,'s.

Lovely character building, extremely comfortable. A lot of the old features have been kept, giving the place a lot of character. The owners were extremely friendly and accommodating. Spacious rooms and beautiful scenery. Perfect if you’re looking for peace and quiet. Dog friendly and breakfast was yummy! Not too far from local amenities. Would definitely recommend, as well as go back. Excellent price too!

Mattress was a little uncomfortable for my partner, but she has a bad back and so is fussy over what she sleeps on! Apart from that, nothing at all!

Great location. Farm animals near the property. The evening was glorious., quiet and very dark, so great for star gazing. The property has some age to it, so some interesting details.

it was restricted to take the dog for a walk.No verges and the road is a trunk road, so some heavy goods vehicles on this route.
