Station House Lanark Bed and Breakfast

Fabulous hosts, food, cleanliness, quality of environment, location, decoration and parking. A and A just cannot do enough for you, this is how every hotel, guest house or bed and breakfast should be run! Loved the proximity to M74! Homely environment, peaceful and quiet, great night’s sleep, a very, very comfortable bed. A gold star environment in every way!

We loved everything and will return! Hosting was tremendous, very friendly and helpful. A quality establishment, in a quality environment. Plenty activities, sight seeing, shops and history in the area!

Our host did individual orders for each of our party of seven, with all the elements of a full Scots breakfast plus yogurts, cereal, etc. He also gave super recommendations for restaurants, trips and hikes. Our party included we older people plus 4 in their twenties and he related well to each of us. He went above and beyond in letting us use his kitchen...not in the normal options. As others came, Alan gave each the same level of attention and service. The renovation they have dine is tasteful and amazing.

Station House B&B is in an exceptionally beautiful area. As stated before Alan very kindly picked me up from the Station and helped drive me around the area to where i was viewing a property. Contact from the start was excellent and remained so. The hotel is beautifully laid out a wonderful character dwelling. Extremely clean and comfortable and very attractive. Breakfast was lovely as were the other guests - everybody was extremely friendly. I would not hesitate to recommended Station House to friends and relatives who (hopefully) will come and visit me. Suitable for single people and families with children. First Class!

Nothing could have been better it was a perfect stay.

Beautiful accommodation, host went above and beyond to ensure our stay was both memorable and enjoyable and even drove us into Lanark. Breakfast (was huge) was excellent I felt guilty leaving food on the plate. Made to feel at home and the best I can say, although our first visit, I'm sure won't be our last, it felt like we were staying with friends, I can't recommend The Station House highly enough, excellent accommodation, excellent value for money and the alarm call from the wild geese... an added bonus x

There was absolutely nothing not to like.

Thoughtfully & tastefully planned, comforts of home. The room was well appointed with all the amenities we needed. The bathroom was large & well designed with modern fittings. Alan, the owner & host gave us very warm welcome, shared much about Scotland’s history. He was very hospitable & attentive. Breakfast was sumptuous and personally cooked by Allan himself. Will certainly visit the property again should we visit Scotland in the future.

Alan our host greeted us warmly, with his friendly and genuine personality and was fantastic with our daughter. Our room was beautifully presented, and immaculately clean. We slept wonderfully, then went for breakfast, which was a large variety of cereals, fruit, yogurts and juice, followed by a generous beautifully cooked breakfast, all of which was fantastic. We would not hesitate to return here.

Enjoyed a 2 night stay for a wedding close by. Warm welcome from Alan. So friendly and helpful with everything. Our room was spotlessly clean. Loved all the wee extras. Such a comfortable bed, slept like a log! Breakfast was outstanding!! Set us up for the day. Nothing was too much trouble. I've never felt so at home and relaxed as I did here. We can't wait to visit again. Thank you Alan & Arlene ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Having to leave 🤣

We stayed in the family room, double bed with two singles. We've stayed in many family rooms over the years, many simply provide a sofa bed pulled out for the kids, which uses up all floor space in the room. This has lead to many uncomfortable stays. This family room was soooo spacious, and the twin beds for the kids were full size proper single beds, the same luxurious quality as the main bed in the room. The bedding had a luxurious feel with comfortable mattresses. The location was perfect, just outside of Lanark but a quick easy drive in, which meant that you are staying in a rural setting in open countryside, you could allow yourself to feel remote, even though it isn't too far off the beaten track. Super main lounge with large cosy sofas and log burner. We would definitely go back, no hesitation. Forgot to mention, the breakfast was cooked to each persons wish list, Fantastic!!

Loved everything.

Good rural location. Very peaceful. Plenty to see locally including the Falls of Clyde and New Lanark World Heritage Site. We experienced a warm welcome, excellent facilities and a great breakfast. Lovely to chat to the owners about the history of the place and what to see in the area. We will definitely stay again.

Nothing. We were highly satisfied.

This was one of the best nights sleeps we have had when we have been away. The place was gorgeous. Alan the host was friendly and chatty. He even brought a beer up for my husband . Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was lovely , loads to choose from . And everything was so clean .

The fact we were only staying for 1 night . There was nothing to dislike .
