this location was very nice, you can tell a lot of effort went into the renovation of this place. staff were also very friendly and helpful when needed! Food was really nice and as I’m eating a more plant based diet, their Vegan options were also very nice! my fiancé was very satisfied with their meat options as well! and as someone who’s been sticking to a workout routine, there was a gym not even 5 mins walk from the hotel so that was perfect. our room was very roomy and had a nice view out into the town.

i think this place would benefit from install an AC in the rooms as it was quite warm the day we arrived so the room was stuffy and quite uncomfortable at times. In the bathroom there was no ventilation so the place was just sweating from the roof which I can’t imagine is good in the long run for mould etc. this didn’t bother us but it could be something to look at before it comes an issue!

The staff, accommodation, food were all excellent. Even had a nice selection of biscuits and refreshments in the room. Over all very nice, great value for money, excellent staff, very well mannered, kind, hospitable, and excellent customer service. Food was 10/10 couldn't finish it. Overall exceeded my expectations as I had heard that Cumnock had not much to offer. It was great will hopefully return again. 😊💯

I will say it there was a couple of wee places that could do with a wee wipe over, nothing major (particularly down side of bath). The room was far too warm with no heating control, so was roasting. The door is rather quite noisy to open or shut (was worried we would wake other guests when we left early in morning) and one bedside lamp doesn't work (not a major or even a minor issue but best to get it changed). The biggest and really the only downside to this stay was the pub/bar it was too noisy at closing time with people screaming and shouting outside at 1.20am 🙄.

Can’t argue with that in my experience Yea place is little bit tired here and there but still very clean in important areas ..bar/restaurant area is outstanding with clearly some big investment here. As they also say “I will be back”

Ok so Cumnock not particularly picturesque and probably bit rowdy at weekends but lots of places of interest I’m told

Location to Dumfries house just about one mile away. Friendly cheerful staff. We had room 15, dreadful view.....but we didn't mind as it was really quiet, at the end of a corridor, so no one passing very early or late and no one banging doors. Large room, good bathroom comfy bed but had a winter duvet on, so quite hot. Good hot breakfast . Nice cocktails however no cocktail menu.

No low fat spread, yoghurt or soya at breakfast would have liked some bananas. Cumnock town centre is rather dull.

Breakfast was very good, both in choice, quality and quantity. My wife really like the bacon. Could not fault it.

As my wife has some mobility problems and is a bit unsteady on her feet, we requested a room with a walk in shower. The hotel provided one which was very good (room 10). However, my wife had trouble getting up off the seat under the shower. May I suggest the the provision of a bar/handle at the side of the shower would greatly assist someone getting up from the seat. Apart from that, very good.

There is nothing to dislike about the hotel. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who could not have been more helpful. On entrance to our room we were gobsmacked, it was so large and spotless with all the facilities for making tea/coffee, ironing/board,hairdryer, large screen TV with a great selection of channels. The bed was huge and very comfortable.Then there is the bathroom wow, very large, great bath with brilliant overhead shower along with complimentary Gel and Shampoo. In the morning we went down for breakfast to the immaculate bar area. What can I say about the Absolutely Brilliant. Selection of various cereals,tea/coffee,water,apple juice,orange juice,blackcurrant juice. Then theres the breakfast itself...we had the Full Scottish... Sausage,Bacon,Potato Scone,selection of how you want your egg done,Mushrooms,Tomato,Beans and you can have as much toast as you like all served by a team of friendly staff.On checkout we returned to our car in which was parked in the free car park provided for residents at the back of the hotel. We will definitely return to this wonderful hotel and recommend it to friends and family.

We Absolutely Loved The ROOM!!, Huge, Beautiful, Clean and The Bed Was just WOW!! <3 loved it !! <3 definitely will be returning and Will be asking for that room again that is for sure :D definitely amazing value for money! <3 - Wish we could of stayed longer last week :( but we definitely will next time :D get more use out of our stay! :D The Guy Rory who checked us in and helped us throughout our stay was great, cheery, chatty, friendly and very good at his job! :D the facilities in hotel and room were great too :D, plenty to drink, lots of storage and just great, we didn't use the bar as it was getting renovated and we had a wedding to go to but it did look amazing and hopefully when we return it will be ready and we will give that a go :D Breakfast was good, plenty to choose from and all great quality. Our hot cooked breakfast as fab! :) Great location, would have loved to explored more, but due to not driving we weren't able to as taxis/public transport isn't the best! but hopefully we will be driving by our next visit and we will explore more :) The Hotel Is Great For All Ages Too! :)

The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Thank you! Our room was fabulous, spacious with a very large bathroom. Looked like it had not long been refurbished. dinner was exceptional good value and very tasty. Drinks were reasonably priced. We had a 2 night stay and were there for a wedding so was ideal for us. I would return to this hotel for sure.

Smell from the drains but not enough to want to change room

The location is perfect for visiting Dumfries House. Good value too. The staff are very helpful and professional. Small problem in first room so we were immediately upgraded to a lovely, bright, very spacious room. The dinner simple and very tasty with a good choice. Good service. Breakfast simple and nicely presented. Full Scottish for my husband and nice fruit platter for me as I was still full from dinner!!

Hotel was excellent as was food and staff. Unlike the other RAD hotel in area. Who were very rude.

Booked Royal hotel to go to wedding in nearby sister hotel. Wouldnt recommend it. You cant get a taxi between the hotels they dont have Relationship with taxi company. Even if you manage to get one its £22 one way for 4mile journey. They need a courtesy 7 seater or something.. Only fault hotel and staff excellent as I said.
