Padarn Hotel

What a lovely stay we had here. I stayed with my 1 year old daughter and dog to climb Snowdon and everyone was so welcoming and accommodating. We are also vegan, and there were a few options for us. We particularly enjoyed breakfast; we had a cooked breakfast including vegan sausages waiting for us before our climb! While in terms of decor it’s not quite a 5* hotel, our experience was definitely 5*. Would recommend and would stay again.

Staff were helpfull, friendly & competent. Room was quiet & adequate, bed was huge. A little dust here x there and had a very new on suite. Corridor & room need updating to match the bathrooms. Restaurant was very pleasant, food tasty & breakfast was good too. Location was perfect for the Snowdon railway

What a gem of a hotel. The staff were all amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We stayed at the Padarn over New Years eve with the aim to climb Snowdon the following day. The Padarn held a NYE party in the function room which while being mostly attended by locals we were made to feel so welcome and was shown the Welsh way to celebrate. Even though we left the party earlier we could not hear a hint of the celebrations from our room and both got a great night sleep. Rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is worth having and has a large selection available. Great value for money. Would absolutely stay here again.

Close to Railway station going to Snowdon, shops and buses! We rented a family room and it's nice! Has a pub, restaurant plus they offer good price for breakfast if you booked in at their hotel! Overall 4/5 stars!

Toilet not good when flushing!

Friendly staff, good breakfast, reasonable rates

The central heating was too hot, could do with individual room temperature controls. The shower gel was nearly empty, I had a bit of trouble so I used my own, also empty was the basin soap It would have been better if the breakfast was included in the room rates, rather than being added on to the room as 'an extra' Missing was a pen and paper in the room drawer Missing were those disposable slippers usually with the hotel name on them I recommend you point out the fire exits to future guests I recommend you have a guest book so we can leave our comments I recommend you instal those credit card style power out slots, so when each guest leaves their room, you'll save power, guests often leave lights or TV on, that's costing you

Very clean rooms. Beautiful decor. well maintained. staff could not be more helpful or friendly, they were great with us adults but also excellent with my young daughter. Food was superb, the scampi, and lamb shank were both perfect, generous portions well priced. The salted caramel brownie with salted caramel ice cream (you had a choice of ice cream flavours) with frozen raspberries (possibly other berries but I only had a taste) was superb. All home made by Dave. The best ever according to my daughter, and she is an expert!. Free car parking. 8 minutes walk from Snowdon Mountain Railway. Lovely people. First visit. will be back for longer stay.

Breakfast wasn't included and was an extra charge of £9.95 per person; with the cost of the room this is far more expensive than other places we have stayed in in the area. In addition our booking stated "Providing free toiletries, this double room includes a private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer. This double room features an electric kettle, TV with cable channels, mountain views, as well as wine/champagne for guests." We had no wine or champagne (or even water) in our room

Welcoming, efficient and friendly staff throughout. Very accommodating. Loved that there was a lot of coffee and milk ensuite. Its in a great location for many of the sites in North Wales. Nice view from the window.

Only two niggles. Sounds daft, but I couldn't work out how the big shower head worked - my problem I guess, but my partner sussed it! Filling the kettle to boil water was tricky as it was a very tight fit under the tap - but I worked out that you could fill it with glasses of water....

The staff were so friendly and so accommodating. Dinner on Friday and breakfast on Sunday were fab. The showers were tip top. The beds were comfortable. Clean and tidy. Good location on the high street - perfect for Marathon Eryri registration, start and finish.

The room was a bit different to what we expected. We had a family room (1 double and 2 bunkbeds) for 3 adults and 2 dogs. In the pictures when we booked, it looked like the bunks were in a sort of separate room slightly off the main bedroom but in our room it was all in one.

Excellent receptionist welcoming us. Location. Views from our room. New shower implemented. Choice of 2 shower heads. Plenty of power points. Comfy big beds. Quiet night sleep. Quality of food on offer. An amazing chef that took time to create a bespoke meal. Spot the dragon! An amazing stay, than you..

It's lovely to see (especially after COVID) young, staff employed but we overheard other patrons having problems and the less experienced were less equipped to deal with it! Sachet based condiments.
