Best Western London Highbury

In a good location for the price, easy to find and so handy it has a car park too. Staff so friendly

Bit old fashioned hotel but guess that’s just our taste. Loud traffic outside at night but again that can’t be helped!

The staff were amazing and so friendly. Me and my friend travelled here for a festival and arrived a day early wanting to explore London. The receptionist called me and my friend a cab and even walked us out to make sure we got into the right car and we were safe. Every morning when walking out the door you were greeted with a good morning and when coming in at night. The security for the hotel whilst the festival was in was good. They had put up a metal barrier right at the front of the hotel and only let people past who had a key card to a room. Overall would definitely stay again if I were to travel back to London.

I stayed for 4 nights here. I'd originally booked for 2, but had to extend my stay. The Hotel staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The lady that cleaned my room was really lovely. I didn't need towels and bedding changed daily obviously, but she made sure the tea, coffee and lovely biscuits were replenished which was lovely. I notice that some reviews mention the decor etc, but these are obviously older reviews, as the decor was fresh and very clean. The standard of cleanliness all around the hotel was a very high standard. The price and value for money for a Hotel so central and with excellent links for buses, trains and tube was just amazing. Well placed for easy access to cafes, supermarkets and restaurants too.

I enjoyed my stay so much, there was nothing to dislike

Family accomodation was practical and spacious. Kids were quite happy to stay here. staff was very friendly and willing to help. On site parking was very practical and much cheaper than anyother parking in London. Links to public transport were superb and the bus stop was literally in front of hotel. Underground was only 5 min walk. I would definitely recommend this place and would like to stay again here.

A little bit attention to cleanliness would make it even better. The chair in my room had a big stain on it and upon asking to change it I was advised that it’s just a stain and actually clean…

It was the perfect place to book for staying after a concert. It's always hard to get anywhere when leaving Finsbury Park, you're already in a huge queue just to get out of the park.. I didn't want to wait forever for a taxi or an uber after already standing on my feet for over 5 hours. The room/ bathroom was really clean, beds were fine. Be aware that to save energy, you need to put your key in a slot by the door to switch on the electricity. A fan was provided and helped keep the heat at bay. I also found the breakfast to be pretty good; the sausages were tasty and nice thick bread for toasting. If you're not familiar with a British style hotel, the layout was like a quaint FT Torquay style b&b, which I like. I would definitely book this room again. The staff were friendly, and there's very good security at hotel. Overall, a great place to crash after a long day of Wet Leg and Pulp!

I really had no complaints.

I was familiar with the hotel as I had stayed their in 2019 to go to a gig at Ally Pally. The hotel had a made a few small changes which I think are good. The main one is the access to the hotel you have use your key card to get in the main entrance, I think this is great as it gives you more security. The staff are friendly and helpful and also give you space and are not over bearing. The location is lovely being opposite Finsbury Park. The tube , railway and bus station is only around a 10 minute walk from the hotel. There are bus stops 1and 2 minute walks from the hotel which you can get buses that take you around London. The hotel is great value for money . Will definitely stay here again for events at Ally Pally and other venues close by. Thanks for a great three nights at your hotel.

The room was very hot , with no heating on ,had to have the window open even when it was tipping down with rain. But if it was too cold that would have been worse still for me to be honest. Also the TV had a mind of its own and kept flicking through channels but if you persevered it did eventually stay on the channel you wanted

We loved the value for money and excellent price with breakfast included. Our room was cosy and clean and a good temperature. The dining room was clean and well organised, with friendly, helpful staff who were constantly cleaning & clearing up after customers. The food was also excellent. We loved being opposite Finsbury Park, which we walked around a couple of times. The closeness of Finsbury Park and Manor House underground stations were ideal and we will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Our only criticism was that our room was below reception and on our second night, the member of staff on duty was very loud when talking on the phone in the early hours of the morning.

Staff were nice, helpful and efficient; five stars to them. Breakfast was good. Room and hotel were clean, room at the back of the hotel was very quiet

Room and bathroom fittings and furniture where getting very worn. The room needed repainting The room was stiflingly hot and the fan provided was too large and noisy to be left on It was expensive for what was provided but I had to book this 4 or 5 weeks ahead as I increased the number of nights I was staying and my original choice of hotel couldn't accommodate the increase in the booking

We loved to location, not far from the tube station which quickly connected us to the whole of London. The staff were amazing and super friendly. Breakfast was a buffet style and had plenty of food options for me and my partner. The room was a tad small but was perfect for our needs, cleaned everyday and tea/coffee/biscuits restocked daily.

There are 4 steps to get to the breakfast room which is not stated anywhere. This wasn't an issue for me as I was able to use a walking stick from our room to breakfast. Other then that I can't think of anything we didn't like

Clean and comfortable hotel, staff were very welcoming, polite and accommodating, always helpful and could direct us to breakfast etc. I had put in a special request because it was my daughters birthday and her first stay in a hotel and they had arranged a lovely message and some chocolates for her and she was over the moon and it made her feel very welcome and comfortable, she was sad to leave and said she would love to visit again. The room itself was clean and comfortable and the facilties were adequate for what we needed. The breakfast included a good range of choices, continental and hot breakfast, and plenty to fill you up ready for the day ahead. Overall very pleased, exceeded our expectations and we would visit again, thank you so much to all the staff at Best Western Highbury.
