Kings Cross Inn Hotel

Food in the restaurant was great and service was great also.

Bathroom was not constructed very well needs some maintenance

The location was excellent, only a few minutes walk from King's Cross station and there's an underground entrance basically right outside the hotel. The rooms were clean and the maid came in everyday. Mena behind the reception was lovely and willing to have a chat and a joke. As others have mentioned, there is unfortunately no breakfast being served at the minute, but we were told this immediately while checking in and the total price we had to pay was reduced to accommodate for this as we had paid a little extra for breakfast. There are also lots of nice places to go for breakfast/brunch behind King's Cross station, and failing that, there's a McDonald's directly across the road from the hotel. The hotel was also surprisingly quiet considering the location, if you close the windows and the inner sliding windows, you don't hear much from outside. The aircon/heater was also a nice touch, the wifi was excellent and the luggage storage was very handy while we were waiting for check in.

The only thing I can really think of is that the towels were a little small. We stopped for a total of 4 nights and our towels got progressively smaller. On the first night we had normal sized bath towels, then they were reduced to a size smaller than a bath towel, then on the last night, they were hand towels. Since they're changed daily it's not too big of a problem, but perhaps more larger towels need to be bought.

Location was unbeatable - King's Cross + St Pancras lets you reach airports, the Eurostar (channel tunnel), and underground from one stop. Euston is a short walk away (or one underground stop) and lets you access the West Midlands (for Harry Potter/WB) as well. Easy walk to British Library or even British Museum as well. The team has been helpful in getting back some shoes I left as well. Very pleased!

It is difficult finding rooms to host 5 (two adults + 3 kids) - so this made the room a little cramped, but it all worked out fine! The hotel is a combination of two buildings so you will have a few stairs even if using the elevator - this did not pose any real issue, however.

We loved our stay at Kings Cross Inn hotel! We immediately felt at home. Our window opened right to the station square with lots of live music performances every day and the lively London atmosphere. Of course we could still have some peace and quiet when we closed the window and switched on the air conditioning, Shower and toilet were absolutely great with lots of soaps and we loved having the water kettle and fridge. Room was spotless and re-cleaned every day including fresh towels. Bed was so comfy! We didn’t try the breakfast as there is so much to eat around and in the station. A big thank you also to the nice and helpful staff. We could even leave our baggage after checking out so we could fully profit from our last day in London.

The air conditioning was not very strong and there were no instructions as to how to use it. The lift (elevator) only goes up to the 3rd floor but we were on the 4th. We didn’t mind this at all, but those with difficulties may find this to be a problem. (And there are some steps to get into the hotel and to reach the lift). The door to the room was a bit difficult to open and close.

We were delighted with the how close it was to train stations, underground and walking distance to the city. Very clean, value for money for London and friendly. Our room had 5 beds which gave us lots of room. Discounts offered for an italian restaurant for breakfast and evening meal.We will use every time when in London.

It is in a very busy city location and bear train stations and so can be noisy at night. Our room was on the front and so there was noise from people, trains, emergency vehicles and refuse collectors from late until the early hours. Heavy sleepers or earplugs needed.

It was perfectly located for us to catch Eurostar the next morning. Everything nearby includes a laundry with a 3-hour turnaround for washing and drying for us. Staff were helpful if very busy. The room was highly functional. However, it had most things we needed. The air conditioning was welcome, as were the blackout curtains. Staff located us on the ground floor to help with luggage. The British Library being so close was a wonderful bonus. Totally recommend it if you are catching Eurostar. 👍🏼

Not having a fridge in the room was probably our only negative. The room was small, but we made it work.

Great location.It's across the road from Kings X station.It has easy access to public transport and cafes, restaurants all around. Very convenient. I contacted earlier before I arrived if I could check in early ( this was subject to availability in the morning). Luckily I was able check in early for an extra 30£ which I didn't mind to pay , after a very long flight to London. The lifts weren't working while I was here but one of the lovely staff members helped carry my heavy luggage to my room on the 3rd floor many thanks. Overall I enjoyed my stay & would def stay here again.

It's outdated & needs a refurb. But its clean & conveniently located across from major public transport.

Perfect location as we got the train to St Pancreas. Literally on the doorstep. Also so easy to get on the tube to visit all parts of London, tube station both on the doorstep. Our view was superb and was facing St Pancreas Station. Hotel was clean, check in was easy and staff were friendly. Was great we could leave our luggage safe. Tv was a smart tv, so had all channels and on demand.

If I had one negative it would be the rumbling of the tube station beneath us every-time a train came. However I chose to stay right by the station so didn’t think that through. It wouldn’t stop me staying again though as I had my elderly mother with me and the location was just perfect!

2nd time at this Hotel and better room than first (lower below ground room first time). Bigger and better appointed overall this time. This is an ideal location for visiting anywhere in London given that it is only 50m from the tube entrance. Price for London is very good

Still a few bits that could be freshened up in the rooms - extra lick of paint etc. Outside noise is always going to be an issue if you suffer bad sleep patterns (apnea in my case) but you have to remember this is straight opposite from Kings Cross station - its never going to be quiet. That said better sound insulation would help

Convenient location opposite St Pancras station and Kings Cross. Clean rooms with plenty of soaps, tea, coffee, milk, shampoo etc. Comfy beds, quiet rooms (except when people moving around above). Useful fridge in room and TV worked well.

Lots of steps up and down to reach room so would be difficult if mobility problems or carrying lots of cases.. Only a small thing but it reflected the general attitude of staff - there were no towels in room and when I contacted Reception I got the brusque response "come and get them from Reception" rather than the usual "sorry we will drop some off for you" which usually happens when this has happened elsewhere.
