Corr's Corner Hotel

The location is good, a short drive from the centre, but the staff is friendly and cooperative, a peaceful and calm atmosphere to have a break. The room is clean and of good size. The beds are comfy, the toilet is clean too with all the necessary toiletries. I loved the shower, specifically the water pressure.

I like almost everything in the hotel, however, it seems to be a lack of communication between the reservation and the reception. I requested a Cot and paid for the extra mattress. Both were not provided. This wasn't a big issue because the accommodation was roomy enough to get my family sorted. The restaurant is a little more expensive, it would cost you approximately £18 for a simple fish and chip. If you specifically eat Halal food, you would struggle to find Halal food as the nearest place to get the food would be approximately 9 miles.

Complained about the room being too hot and radiator cap broken but despite saying it had been fixed it was still on full. we requested a quiet room away from the road but we’re told in advance that this was not possible so had to suffer the noise for three nights. The receptionist when we checked out said we owed some money for food but when we told them that we hadn’t eaten there she checked again and said it was a mistake.

We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The fact that there were facilities for eating available throughout the day and evening was appreciated and the food was very good.

With regard to food ordering, twice we didn't receive what had been ordered - this wasn't a major issue, as one time it just related to brown bread rather than white and the other time a scone was ordered from the lobby menu - along with sandwiches - but not received. No comment made to reception, as it was better for my weight not to have one!

The staff are excellent - friendly, warm, helpful and great craic. Nothing was too much trouble. Great central location - handy for the major transport links/roads to Belfast, the coast or for heading inland. Belfast is especially close by. Room was very spacious with double bed and single bed and lots of room in between. Huge bathroom with a bath. Quite warm in the tropical heatwave of early August this year, but a fan helped enormously. The Bistro on site is very nice, but the portions are on the rather generous side that Northern Irish cooking is famous for - so go when you're hungry! If the restaurant areas are too busy or you want something lighter, they have the 'Lobby' menu, where you can place a lighter food order e.g. soup, sandwiches etc and in a space were there are hardly any people around. Very thoughtful idea. Breakfast was an impressive spread. Self service for the cooked elements works well, so you can take as much or as little as you want. The wife loved the provision of poached eggs. Good continental and cereal selection. They have a very efficient meet and greet system when you come down for breakfast, with tea/coffee and toast appearing at your table quite quickly. The staff were great - would even have a little chat on the way through. Ample parking. Overall, a very comfortable stay.

Only a tiny thing with the room - the carpet was very badly marked/stained.

The rooms were spacious and really nicely furnished, comfortable and clean and quiet. The breakfast was a buffy and was the best I had ever had. The bacon was superb. The bar and restaurant was very busy and you need to book but the Menu is great and really good value and you need a good appetite. Service was excellent and the whole stay was for me great. It was out of town but that was where I was working.

I like my toast well done. Everything else was great and I have now stayed there on 3 separate occasions.

Extremely friendly, helpful staff. Room cleaner was lovely to my Mum. Restaurant staff were super helpful when I realised I'd left my phone charger at home. Reception staff friendly and professional. Always someone there.

The bedroom was just a bit too hot for a fully restful sleep and I could not get the subtitles to work on the TV, so had to turn up the sound more than I felt comfortable considering other guests.

The location of the hotel is excellent, really close to all local amenities and not far from Belfast. The hotels rooms are large and comfortable. The breakfast is included in the price and is tasty with lots of options available. The staff are polite and friendly and have excellent chat. The bar also offers some great food and drink options.

The bar and grill prices are slightly expensive for food and drink but it's a hotel so to be expected. The bathroom in our room was slightly dated and had a lot of wear and tear but it was still clean and done it's job.

Wonderful staff in all areas of the hotel. Excellent value for money with the lovely breakfast available. Comfortable beds, very clean, windows that open properly. A wonderful stay, we will 100% be returning. Excellent adjoining bar and grill.

Had some trouble with the shower, couldn't adjust the heat (i passed this on to reception and it was recieved very well). More toilet roll needs to be available in a family room. In time key cards that you touch to the lock instead of put in the lock would be great as we did have trouble with these where the barcode was wiped- again perfectly dealt with by your reception staff.

Comfy beds. Well presented. Good bar and restaurant. Good position for boats and planes and roads.

Breakfast set in past. Too much sugar and not enough healthy food. No plain yogurt or unsweetened cereal/ porridge. Short on fresh fruit. Unfortunately, the hot water went off in our part of the hotel. We had to visit another room for a shower which was very inconvenient and we were offered no compensation.

the place was very organized, clean and the staff from reception are super friendly…

we do not have much to complain, but I believe the staff from the Pub(bar and Grill) could be more friendly… sometimes we felt we were being judged because we were not posh people, or we were not Irish… but it happens only when we were using the pub to eat… I do speak English fluently, and some times one of the waiters were mimicking and speaking as we were not understanding… quite rude… the girls from reception were amazing…
