professional and polished staff. Central location downtown. Footsteps from large bus depot. Fancy room and bathroom. Great Mountain views in some rooms. Breakfast plan is good, decent and varied breakfast choices, hot and cold.

No in room refrigerator, only a bar pay as you go refrigerator. It was locked on my arrival, never used it, or knew what was inside. My leftovers spoiled because of this. No ice bucket or ice machine! You had to go to restaurant bar area and ask for ice, very inconvenient. They will deliver ice to your room if you ask. No top on the bucket of ice, so my ice melted quickly. Made my evening in room drinks less enjoyable.

The room was amazing, the staff were lovely and so helpful and friendly. The hotels atmosphere from the lobby, to the restaurant to the halls of the hotel. The food was absolutely top notch, so tasty. Highly recommended all around.

The mini bar was a complete e rip off, £3.50 for a 330ml tin of coke is not acceptable to me. When across the road at Centra you can get a 500ml bottle for £1.99. Would not recommend to anyone that you give them your deposit for it when you first check in until they catch a grip on their prices. Although the food was amazing, (one of the best steaks in Belfast in my opinion) the menu was extremely limited, all 3 sections, Starter, Main and Dessert leave a lot to be desired.

The staff were beyond exceptionall. Yasmine at front desk, Pete and Paul at concierge, Brian in the dining room. Absolutely brilliant. I have stayed at more than 100 hotels in the past 10 years from Argentina to Japan and this property is doing everything right. Also, I want to say thank you for their kindness in accommodating my family's situation when my father got very ill. Thank you.

The restaurant and bar was quite expensive and I felt the 10 pound tray services was a bit excessive. Also, the outlets (electrical) a bit uneven with one of our rooms with 4 on one side and none on the other but that's a small, paltry criticism.

Very central which was great. The decor in the rooms are really unique and pretty. Lots of nice touches. We had some problems with our first room which we were going to let go but eventually we called reception. The lady sorted it so quickly and moved us to a nicer and quieter room. We appreciated this so much and the stay was then fantastic! Thank you very much to this member of staff.

Unfortunately we could hear banging repeatedly from the room next door. The rain was tapping outside on the exterior (not sure if gutters were overflowing). Window was draughty. The worst part was the sink was filthy, it actually had sick down the side which my partner had to clean off. It was then that we called reception as we felt it was unacceptable.

The room was gorgeous. All the amenities you'd expect from a top city centre hotel. It was luxurious and classy, and brilliant value for what it is. I will absolutely stay again when I visit Belfast.

The breakfast was all or nothing. I wanted a pastry + coffee, which they had but the only option to get breakfast at the hotel was to purchase access to the full buffet. I can't remember the price but it would've been something like 20+ quid for access to a coffee + pastry. They should consider offering a light version for less -- as I ended up going to the Nero around the corner

With an unbeatable location right in the centre of the city, this hotel is one of the first choices for travellers. It is situated in 5-7 minutes walking distance from the bus station and City Hall, and 10 minutes taxi drive to the Lanyon Place train station. The staff is friendly and helpful. We had a little misunderstanding about the exact type of the room booked, and the issue has been solved in the most professional way. Our Signature View King room was relatively spacious, and offered the promised view over the city skyline. It was handy to have a couple of bottles of complimentary water and a Nespresso machine with tabs supply. The bed deserves an extra mention - it was extremely comfortable.

The breakfast offers a choice of continental buffet, as well as one hot breakfast meal (once the hot meal is ordered, the menus are swiftly removed, so that you have to ask for them again if you consider a sweet add-on a la carte). The selection of buffet options is limited. One always has to ask for an attention of the waiting staff to request an item like coffee, tea, extra butter, etc.

We rarely stay in a 5 star hotel but our experience at the Fitzwilliam Belfast may tempt us to do it again. The location was perfect, close to many of the "must sees" and public transportation. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, with a comfortable king-sized bed and good pillows, a sofa, a desk and chair, and a large bathroom that had both a soaking tub and a large shower. The Elemis toiletries were a real treat, and there was an in-room coffee and tea service. Air conditioning was a plus as the room was otherwise warm at night. Towels and face cloths were soft and fluffy, and there was a heated towel rack. The public areas were inviting and comfortable. Staff members were highly professional and the concierge was always helpful. Breakfast was a good way to start the day, with both cooked offerings and a large continental spread of breads, cheeses, yogurts, overnight oats, granolas, fruit, jams, nutella, a fresh honeycomb, coffee, tea, juices, and more. The value of the stay was exceptional. We were very pleased with our stay and would gladly return.

I wiah there had been a top sheet on the bed but this was rare in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Early luggage drop-off that was then left to our room for us. Subtle yet appreciated night time turndown service while we were out. Comprehensive room service options available 24/7 & well stocked mini fridge (although expect usual inflated prices), and overall the most generous offering of free room amenities received for similar stays at this price point. Very comfortable bed and quiet room. Good wifi connection. Easy to connect bluetooth speaker/radio system was a nice bonus.

Toothpaste was not provided in the bathroom, I assume this could have been phoned for (we had our own anyway) and might just be to reduce environment impact, but considering four small bathroom bottles of body lotion, shower gel, shampoo etc were provided, this seemed a bit strange to have not included an essential like toothpaste yet a luxury body lotion.

I've one overriding need when I arrive at a hotel, usually after a long time of stressful travel - to be made feel immediately welcome. Self-check in terminals and receptionists too busy doing filing than helping weary arriving guests are a big turn off. There was none of this at the Fitzwilliam. Instead the manner and behaviour of the staff just said "It's OK; you're home and safe here now - let me handle that for you". You can't drill or instruct your staff how to do this - it comes from within. And it was found in all of my dealings with staff there.
