The room was excellent and exceeded expectations, the pictures don't do the executive suites justice! Very modern bathroom, including a toilet with a digital flush! All staff were friendly and very accommodating. The hallway areas could maybe do with a carpet wash- but that's literally a very small improvement suggestion. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, although a little cold by the time you sat down to eat, but a very clean and welcoming dining area. I'd recommend staying at the hotel to anyone who hasn't been.

As above, the carpets in the hallway could do with a wash and make the breakfasts hot! There was a little drama that happened in the room next to me, I tried to contact the out of hours support team but it went straight to the EE voicemail and normal reception wasn't open, that being said they attended around 6.30 and asked the culprits to leave, so the issue was sorted.

We stayed in a family room, one adult, a teenager and an 11 year old. The kids were over the moon at the quality of the room and the youngest wanted to sleep on the huge window seat! The beds were very comfortable with clean & crisp sheets. Plenty of extra pillows were available if needed. The bathroom was spacious with a large bath and the over bath shower had good pressure. We ate dinner in the dining room and it was good quality food, reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and attentive but not overly so. Will definitely go back.

My only regret is not being able to spend another night there.

Room was very nice. Breakfast and the view were excellent. Didn't have much time to use any of the other facilities as we only stayed one night and spent the majority of the day at the Test match and the evening eating out.

There was a bridal party in the room next door to us who kept us awake for practically the entirety of the night with their incessant talking, which did actually go on all night. Appreciate that they were excited about the wedding day, but for the future guests not to suffer the same we'd suggest that night staff should patrol corridors every hour after say midnight to ask people to settle down or be quieter if they're making too much noise.. It was a three hour drive home the next day on a very hot day and I could have easily fallen asleep at the wheel.

Bed was very hard and uncomfortable, needed a mattress topper on , hence not a great nights sleep Bar area very noisy in the afternoon with golfers( it is a golf club after all) however lots of swearing going on breakfast was average to say the least, ok but nothing to shout about , glad it was inc in price and I didn’t have to pay full amount for

Fabulous staff, very attentive and helpful. Room is a great size, lovely bathroom and tub. Felt this was very good value for money.

Room was not as clean as I’d have liked but it wasn’t dirty. Perhaps it hadn’t been used for a few days. This didn’t spoil our stay though. Heating operation instructions were missing and no one knew how to turn it up. It wasn’t freezing though, it was comfortable, just not as hot as I like it.

The hotel was modern and affordable. The property has some amazing surroundings and was extremely quiet to say it’s so close to the A52. We paid to have breakfast included with our stay and it is by far the best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. when we were getting ready to check out, we needed a few more minutes to get ready, we called the front desk and the staff were helpful and understanding and gave us the extra time we needed.

The views overlooked the golf course, which at sunset were amazing, the hotel had a nice atmosphere in general. Decor was modern and unique and the hotel was clean. Would revisit.

Minor snagging, handle on main entrance door needs attention. Staff needed to be a bit quicker at breakfast, there was not enough food out and it took time to arrive. However the overall stay was good.

we felt a bit out of place, staff looked down on us a bit. also, man on the desk at night tried to charge me £1000 instead of £100 for my room. I also felt the front appearance of the hotel looked run down.

Everything about the place, staff, food, facilities. The wedding was excellent, the bride, groom, family and friends very we’ll catered for.

Slightly disappointed with the pricing system cost £140 for one night including breakfast for 2. With the price involved that the wedding deal cost, I thought wedding quests may have had a slight discount. I realise I could have saved approx’ £30 had I booked (non refundable) 3 months in advance but who knows what may have happened with the covid situation. Overall we had a very good stay and will certainly consider a golfing deal with stay over.

Beautiful location with lovely views. Great room. Food good - dinner and buffet breakfast, though the drinks could have been hotter. Rather noisy in the restaurant due to a large party of men who were clearly enjoying their evening.

However not aware that the bedroom was not in the main building - not a problem during the day as it was dry. However it was dangerous going back to our room after dinner as the lighting between the buildings was very poor. Take a torch or make sure your phone is well charged!
