Absolutely stunning location Amazing included breakfast Bed was comfy Room was a nice size Very friendly and welcoming staff & locals The lamb shank special for dinner one of us had (extra cost) was incredible, and very good value The chips were genuinely some of the best I have ever eaten Very quiet

More than 1/2 a roll of toilet roll in the room would be nice The shower window overlooked the garden, the glass was frosted but a little blind might be a nice touch to improve modesty/privacy The venison pie, whilst tasty, was quite small and didn't have masses of filling

Very friendly staff who were at pains to help make our stay - with our dog - as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. It’s a busy village pub but the locals are as friendly as the staff, and it was never noisy. They have a good menu and great craft beers too, plus a clean and comfortable room. The location is stunning too, and the local area has plenty to do no matter what the weather.

Lovely pub in a pretty village. we stopped overnight to break up our journey and this was the perfect place! Friendly staff and locals, food was classic pub food done well, room was large enough for us & our 2 labs and breakfast was lovely (veggie sausages for me even though wasn’t an option on menu). Rooms are on ground floor and the beer garden is over the road which is good when you have dogs. Would recommend and would stay again if in the vacinity. Thank you

Our room was spacious including the en-suite. All the meals were good(breakfast and dinner). Parking was fine. There is a petanque area, complete with boules. There are loads of outside tables to use for drinks and meals. Very dog friendly. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful.

The concrete steps to the rooms, could do with some attention and it would be good if the path around the side of the pub was concreted, instead of gravel. Access to the village isn't easy and some of the locals could do with brushing up on their driving etiquette.

The room and bed were very comfortable. the staff were very friendly and helpful especially michelle. The food was good the pub was very comfortable and the locals made us feel welcome. there was a large public field to for my son to exercise his spaniel puppy who was also made welcome at the Bennet Arms. It was handy for my son to visit Longleat with his family while we looked after the dog. The farm up the road had a machine were you could buy fresh milk that had never left the farm it was delicious.

We have no complaints at all.

Stayed Friday overnight en route for south west. Idyllic setting on warm June evening with drinks and excellent fish and chips on green outside. Lovely that most of the other drinkers were locals enjoying the real ales and advising us on what to have. Room simple but comfy and clean. Good breakfast, easy parking.

Breakfast fine and tasty but quite small portion

Good food in the evening (modern and international but with a British touch), fine and full breakfast in the morning (very tasty sausages). Room was tidy and clean, for three people with luggage still fitting but not to big.

Nothing to mention. The price was not the cheapest but overall absolutely within the rather high prices in England in summer of 2023

The pub was ideal for what we wanted. Accomodation near Shaftesbury. Room was a bit dated but comfortable beds. Dinner ok, I think I took a risk ordering steak - my husband enjoyed the fishcakes. Breakfast has to be ordered night before - as I couldn't eat the sausages - thought I may have got more than one rasher of bacon. Nice otherwise

When we arrived the pub was full of young people outside. All the parking spaces were full so had to park on a dark road and walk back. The pub was very busy so was shown to our room in a rushed manner and didn't get to ask about the wifi and breakfast etc.

We liked the atmosphere in the pub, a nice fire and an active village life, the outside space looks great if the weather is right and the owners made great effort for the Halloween decorations. The food in the pub (esp the pies) and the breakfast were extremely nice. The location was perfect for our needs, set in the heart of the very lovely village of Semley. The owners are new and very very friendly, no request is too much. The room was a clean, nice pub guest room, the bed very comfy and you wouldn't know the pub is there from a noise point of view. Met our expectations very well, a nicely managed, clean friendly pub guest house.

There was nothing we didn't like.
