Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites- Gadsden, an IHG Hotel

We stayed here due to buying a new house in the area. We did extend our stay. Breakfast was hot and the attendant was WONDERFUL! She knew I like flavored creamer and would make sure I had a few every morning for my coffee! She was the most delightful person and it made my day to see her smiling and so happy! You definitely have a jem in her!! The front desk was Awesome! They helped us extend our stay and was always ready to help. Check in and check out was a breeze! Our room was nize size and clean! The beds were very comfortable and we slept very good during our stay. There is no complaints from me this is a wonderful hotel and the staff makes it even more great! I know where to stay if I need something in town or to send visiting family and friends.

The staff were the ABSOLUTE BEST during check-in which was awesome because I was super tired from driving the five hours to get there and I was ready to get to my room and lay down. The room was super clean and well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. We stayed in the queen suite which had two queen sized beds and a sleeper sofa. The beds were super comfortable which made the money spent worth it. I will definitely stay here again if I ever decide to visit Gadsden in the future.

The ONLY complaint I have is the neighbors that were directly above us had some hyper kids that sounded like they were playing basketball all night and when you are tired and REALLY want a good nights sleep that is the LAST thing you want to hear. I am a mom myself so I know how it can be at times. My 22 year old son decided to play music on an app so we could tune out all the jumping and listen to the rain so we could get some sleep. The app worked and all was well with life once again. lol

Katrina handled the breakfast on Monday. She was pleasant and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed and then some. Great Customer Service !!!

The only thing I thought was strange was the desk person. When we got there to check in the evening of Oct 1 she was no where to be found. We waited for 10 minutes for her to come from the back to check us in. Went to the desk a couple more times that night - she wasn't there.

The man that checked us in was fantastic! He really did go out of his way to make sure that our stay was exactly what we needed it to be. I didn't do a good job in booking the rooms and he corrected everything so that it could accommodate my family.

A lot of the breakfast items were not restocked and there was a note on the refrigerator to check the milk for spoilage before using. My 10 year old niece did not read the note and had an unpleasant surprise.

The breakfast was really good and the staff very friendly. The dining area was clean and cozy with plenty of space for social distancing. That Dove body wash and lotion in the room smelled heavenly. And everyone I passed in the halls was kind, helpful, and friendly. I truly enjoyed my stay.

I wish there were more dining options nearby but the hotel is conveniently situated close to a Walmart and a few fast food chains. So that was okay. I can’t think of a single thing I didn’t like about the hotel at all.

Comfortable beds and pillows, clean room and bathroom, large bathroom and tub, all the amenities (TV, iron, hair dryer, shampoo/cond/body wash, fridge, coffee maker; microwave I believe tho we didn't use it; chests of drawers, functional desk). Bright lobby. Excellent breakfast with friendly, helpful staff! Walking distance from several run-of-the-mill restaurants and a Walmart Supercenter; short drive to attractions like Noccalula Falls and Gadsden Mall. Highly recommended. Will stay here again next time we're in the area.

The room clock wasn't set correctly, but I set it. Besides that truly minor foible, I have absolutely no complaint.

Even though our room was near the elevator we never heard it and fortunately the other guests were quiet. The hair dryer was not attached to wall which makes it easier to use. Bed very comfortable and a choice of soft or firm pillows. Breakfast was good. Really enjoyed the cinnamon rolls. Katrina the breakfast preparer was super friendly and kind and accommodating. She made sure we had everything we needed.

Our room was near the ice machine and we could hear the ice dispenser. The tub surround needed to be repaired. It was coming unglued from the wall.

The hotel was very well kept/updated. Towels were soft unlike most hotels. Breakfast was very good. Ms Katrina is quite the breakfast attendant-takes care of everyone like they were family. Front desk staff were very helpful. Only problem I found was the hotel could not get anyone to show me how to stream Netflix on the TV's.

Just needed someone to help with the streaming options on the TV.

The room was very spacious and clean. Also it was very nice! The hot breakfast was fantastic and the sweet lady (I didn't catch her name) that was keeping check over the food was fantastic! So helpful and was making sure everyone had everything they needed, she reminded me of my mom which is great when you are traveling!

Wish the pool and hot tub had been indoors but other than that everything else was perfect!

I was very impressed!!! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms and hotel itself was very clean and comfortable. Hand sanitizer dispensary were at every door and on the elevator. The best breakfast area. The food was great freshly cooked every morning. This area was also super clean they had hand sanitizer and gloves right when you walked in. I have been here a wk due to house damages and could not ask for a better,cleaner,safer place to stay. Will definitely be the place a chose to stay when in need. One more thing the owner Mrs. Dr Patel is on site and makes sure to personally check in with her guest. Locally owned makes a big difference in staying in a hotel. You can tell it's not just another chain.🤩
