Wyndham Garden Lake Guntersville

Beautiful place. Amazing hot breakfast 😋. Fishing right outside the room. Very nice pool. They have a bar, but didn't visit. Staff are all so nice and very accommodating. Comfortable beds, nice fluffy pillows, soft sheets, fluffy towels. Gazebos with benches, benches on the dock, places to park your boat on the water. Good fishing. Grills outside bottom for rooms and one at one of the Gazebos. Beautiful view !! Many restaurants in the area. Great seafood places. We will be back. Lisa in housekeeping.. that woman is one hell of a worker !! Top O' The River and Wentzelles were our favorite places to eat.

Ice machines never had ice in them, other people draining them. Not accessible for people in wheelchairs or power chairs to get down to the water.(Didn't effect us, but there was a family with two children in power chairs) Breakfast had no cold options, no cereal, yogurt, muffins, etc.

Everything. This is THE place to stay in Guntersville. Awesome staff (thank you, Lisa, Melissa, Vicky, and every staff member I encountered), super clean and comfy beds and pillows, amazing AC, outstanding water pressure in the shower and bathtub, top-quality hot breakfast, gorgeous scenery at the lake, walking/short driving distance to many restaurants, easy access to a 3-mile lakeside waking trail, perfectly-maintained outdoor pool, fast wifi and cable with a wide selection of channels, a lot of peace and quiet for a great night’s sleep in spite of being by a busy road (as if the rooms are soundproofed), great free parking with easy access to rooms, etc etc…Will def stay again soon! Thank you all! 5 stars!

The employees were friendly and did a great job. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the view was amazing! Even though the restaurant was closed the complimentary breakfast and night time bar was great. The score would be better if the Reno was complete and everything was open and worked..There's not much you can do about traffic noise unless you sound proof the rooms..but overall great job and we enjoyed our time and would do it again. Thank you!

The noise from the traffic makes it hard to sleep sometimes. The microwave didn't work right,and the elevator stopped working at the end of our trip. Even though the employees doing the renovation were doing a great job,it added more noise and the restaurant was closed for dinner,so we didn't get to enjoy it..

I love the view of the lake. I love the location. It was very convenient for the most part. It was great.

when I got there to check in, they charged me for two rooms for two nights I said I only want one room for two nights and she said I asked you and you said yes, but I didn’t pay attention to the the2rooms for 2nights but she would not take it off right then she cut it down to one night and said I had to contact Booking.com. I left a message with y’all and then I also left a message on their phone. They did the very next day take that room off which I much appreciated that because it stressed me out to think I had charges on my credit card that I did not want overall though and immediate correction the next day was very good thank you.

Breakfast was outstanding. Best biscuits and bacon with real scrambled eggs and good cheesy hash browns. Had 4 pillows which we needed to sleep comfortably. Everything we needed was close by for the wedding we were there for.

Bed wasn't hard enough for us. The plumbing needs attention. The toilet kept backing up even when it flushed ok. Would open the lid to use it and what we flushed earlier was back in the bowl. Not really enough parking for the amount of rooms.

The breakfast was awesome. I loved the biscuits and gravy. The bacon and eggs were good too. The staff was helpful. My husband is disabled and I got to bring breakfast to him in the room. We had an awesome view of the water. I was glad we could bring our dogs also.

Other people that walked their dogs didn't pick up their poop. I would recommend a station that has doggy bags and a place to put animal waste. I picked up after our dogs and put it in outside garbage can.

I loved so much about this property! The views , staff friendly,and. Oh my the Restaurant!, and bonus underground bar with poo table, pub style!!!! Awesome! IThe menu selection at the restaurant… I was stuffed! Very Much like a5star resort! Breakfast was awesome as well (In the restaurant)! You eat at the river view from all over , at night it was so romantic it’s all lighted up.Fishing is allowed as well. I was shocked since C-19/ Monkey Pops are on the rising that the restaurant / and surprise Pub under ground was fully opened?!! Happy it was because I had a great memory for my bday/ relaxing. If I did have another trip planned I would have stayed another night! I will go back for sure! Outside each room you can sit and enjoy the breeze/ view!🥳😊❤️❤️

The breakfast and view were AMAZING!! I wish we could have fixed our own coffee tho- I like mine decked out, and she didn’t provide me near enough cream or sugar. Beds were comfy, air worked well, everything was clean, and everyone was pleasant that we came into contact with.

It was VERY loud. Need a no air breaking sign for Large trucks. I paid $135, so to pay MORE to not be on the road side isn’t very realistic in my budget. I also wish the food options could have been open a little later. It was 9pm when we finally got to go eat and was disappointed the restaurant had already closed. Wish we had the option for an earlier check in, and a later check out as well. We’d loved to hung at the pool for a bit before leaving, but with only one night, was no time.

The view was spectacular and being on the bottom floor was nice. Already had plans for dinner but the grills located next to rooms will be used on next visit for sure. The breakfast everyday was hot and staff was very helpful. Hash brown casserole and biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, bacon and fruit was great. Even with events going on there was always parking at the hotel. I'm not sure why such bad reviews on other sites but we had a great experience and will definitely be back.

The beds were a little uncomfortable but no bed will ever be as good as what you have at home and are used to sleeping on.

Everything here is perfect for me when I need a staycation (from HSV area) or to have a comfortable, friendly, scenic getaway to do remote work/business Zoom calls. Thank you to Lisa and everyone in management/administration; Melissa and the whole housekeeping staff; Mack and everyone else who maintains the property; and—last but not least—the awesome breakfast crew!
