Very clean! Staff is very friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond to get a 1st floor location for my husband's mobility issues. If they weren't able to get a 1st floor room, they were going to carry our luggage upstairs for us. The location is perfect, everything in walking distance. They offered great restaurant recommendations. I was impressed with the room, very comfortable bed and the housekeeping staff does an exceptional job. The courtyard is peaceful and a perfect place to sip your morning coffee. They have a coffee room that has a Starbuck's machine, Ice machine, Tea, etc. It's perfect and awesome for a coffee drinker like me. I must have my morning coffee and afternoon coffee and evening coffee, lol! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area Cottonwood, Clarksdale for the train, or Sedona. Great location for Jerome and Prescott or Prescott Valley.

I was in the hospitality industry for 30 years and I see things that most people out of the industry would not. There wasn't anything that I didn't like. Cleanliness, property upkeep, friendliness/welcoming, location, nicely appointed room, comfortable bed and seating, beautiful courtyard, etc. I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again.

Great location for walking to nearby restaurants, bars, and the Jail Trail. Very hospitable employees and guests. Safe and quiet, while still being near everything. I was happy they had a good wifi signal since it was hard to get service in town. I really liked having Starbucks coffee available. This place had a lot of charm and character!

The parking was hard to find a space, but we arrived during dinner time on a Friday night. City parking is free, so we can't complain much, in the morning parking was super easy to find a good spot. The place was a little older, but it was clean and well-kept. There are a lot of cute shops in town, but they close pretty early, if you want beverages or snacks be sure to bring some or get them before they close.

The receptionist worked the reservation list for me to have a first floor room. The room was nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. I appreciate the amenities: soaps and shampoo, hair dryer, safe, refrigerator, and microwave. There was also an iron and ironing board had I needed them. The location is easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

Unfortunately, I was having difficulty with my cell phone, but could not use the room phone due to heavy static on the line.

I love the fact this Inn is historic, quaint and small. There is an open courtyard where you can enjoy your free Starbucks coffee in the AM and a local bottle of wine in the afternoon or evening. It is quiet. It is close to everything you want to do in Old Town (and out of town, too). This is my go-to spot for a relaxing stay. The rooms are updated with comfy beds and good linens, hard surface floors, and remodeled bathrooms. The staff are very accommodating. Love Iron Horse.

Upon checking into the hotel, we were absolutely thrilled with the location, amenities and cleanliness of the hotel. We loved our room. We did have a bit of a snafu on our first night there. We had gone to bed early as it had been a long day. At approximately 10:30pm, I was awakened to the chirping of the fire alarm. It was then that we learned that there were no employees on the premises, so we called the emergency number listed on our guest sheet. I could tell that I woke the person up. I explained the situation and they sent someone right out with a battery in hand. She changed the battery and said that she would hang around for a bit downstairs until we knew that there were no issues. The alarm continued to chirp. The employee immediately transferred us to another room until the issue could be resolved. We ended up staying in the new room for 2 nights and then they transferred us back to our original room, where we stayed for the remainder of our visit. Even though we had some hiccups, the staff was courteous, kind and helpful throughout our stay. We were absolutely thrilled with Iron Horse Inn and will stay with them in the future. Cottonwood Old Town was such a wonderful place. I highly recommend staying in this quaint little town.

See above. The issue was rectified promptly and professionally. We had a wonderful stay at Iron Horse Inn.

This place is super cool. It's an old school style motor coach type hotel that has been completely modernized. Love the decoration and unique style. Only down side is if other guests get loud in the small court yard, but the hotel has quite hours between 10:00pm and 6:00am. Great location right in historic downtown Cottonwood. Stay here if you want to get away from a run of the mill room. Very romantic too my wife loved it!

Style of the building and the rooms, plus its location on the Main Street in Oldtown Cottonwood.

I liked that the hotel had a free Starbucks machine for guests. Also, I enjoyed how the hotel was right on main street Cottonwood near great food options. The courtyard in the middle of the property was very relaxing with water fountains and happy guests lounging and laughing.

The room was definitely a bit small, but this did work for me as I was traveling solo. Additionally, the shower easily spills onto the floor in the bathroom since there was no shower curtain. This may have been just my room missing a shower curtain.

This room was cute and comfortable with a great Starbucks coffee machine in a central location. Sitting in the courtyard was comfortable as well. The room was updated and had microwave, refrigerator, comfortable size for a couple on a weekend getaway. The shower was beautifully tiled. Parking was in a lit back lot which felt safe. Centrally located to walk to all shops, restaurants and for wine tasting.

The only drawback was dragging our luggage up the steep stairs to room.

We've stayed here several times and always find it clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We loved the comfy king bed and the Route 66 decor in this room. The rooms surround a charming courtyard, an inviting area with tables and chairs and a barbecue, that would be especially nice during the warmer months. Parking is free and easy in back of the hotel, and there are several fun stores and good restaurants along the street just a few steps from the hotel.

The bathroom in our room, 207, was very small and had almost no place to set things. The tiny airplane-size sink has no counter and drains slowly. There is one small shelf recessed in the wall above the sink that only a few short things can fit in, and two shelves above the toilet - if you stack the towels and washcloths on the high shelf, you have room for your toiletries on the more reachable lower shelf. There are no towel racks to hang-dry towels. The bathroom could be more comfortable for guests by adding shelves in the roomy corner and towel racks on the wall by the shower.

I loved the overall look and feel of this inn. It was old and you could tell but vintage yet totally remodeled. I loved that there are real keys and stone staircases for the rooms upstairs. The feel was magical and perfect. The bed and pillows were amazing- best sleep I’ve had in awhile. Absolutely adore everything on Main Street so that was a plus. Walkability is important when I travel.

I was right outside the trash bin and oh my, it sounded like a train hit the building when they picked up the trash. It actually startled me awake but it was around 8am so it wasn’t horribly early.
