Holiday Inn Express & Suites Oro Valley-Tucson North, an IHG Hotel

Good breakfast w/ hot food (eggs, Turkey sausage, biscuits, hot oatmeal, yogurt, juice machine, etc.). Clean, quiet room. Friendly staff. Reasonable price.

Access door near pool doesn't open from outside - card key lock not working. Minor inconvenience. Water cooler in gym not working. Minor inconvenience. Treadmill in gym has broken "+" speed button, but it still works. Treadmill display very dim. Need to repair/replace treadmill.

First of all, this hotel is easily 4 to 5 star. I don't know how Mesa claims five star for a hotel that smells like vomit. This hotel has marble showers, perfect water pressure and no faults that I can find. The breakfast is amazing. For the side of town this is in it might seem inadequate because it does not have golden soap. But for normal people, this hotel is excellent. I would stay here every single time I come to Oro valley. Absolutely great hotel.

Nuffing

The breakfast was well presented, the area kept clean and food replenished often our first and third mornings. There was a nice variety from which to choose.

Our second morning a young man was there to maintain the breakfast area, but he disappeared and failed to wipe down the tables after use.

Location to family event

The food was cold on the breakfast buffet. Egg, sausage and potatoes And the tables were not wiped off after the guest left. The lady was just sitting in her office. I had to get a napkin to wipe my table. I know she saw me do that. You pay over $200 for a room breakfast could of been nicer

Room size comfortable beds good for breakfast everything you need close by

Stayed 3 nights asked for clean towels and beds made every morning when we left every night when we returned nothing done had to get clean towels from front desk and they never pickedup the dirty towels by the time we checked out we had 10 dirty towels hand towels and was clothes in the bathroom

Elijah at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. There was a nice variety of food offered for breakfast.

The location was a little more out of the way than I thought it would be- next trip I'll look at that more closely

Beautiful and easy to get to location. Loved having the walking path right outside too. Room was comfortable and having a side door right by the elevator/parking lot made carrying bags from car in easy. Good breakfast as well. Very nice. Thank you!!

* Well-kept-up neighborhood with walking trail access at the rear of the property * Lovely mountain view from our room-- right outside the property past the parking lot and well-maintained property: Pleasantly surprised the next morning when we woke up and could finally see our surroundings after getting in late the night before * Near the Biosphere 2, our goal destination for this trip * A few tasty places to eat (that were not chain restaurants) * Easy access to many typical chain restaurants and stores Note: Breakfast was included with our stay, but we opted to try local eateries for brunch.

Staff was neither unfriendly or friendly; they did their jobs, and the ones we encountered did not interact with us-- unless we asked them a question. (NOTE: This could be a "like" if you're the type of traveler who would rather be left alone.) In other words, staff is in the background, shall we say, ready to help; I'm not used to minimal interaction from a hotel staff. Maybe it's part of their COVID protocol? It's not a deal-breaker. I'd stay here again if needed-- as long as they can accommodate my request for a firmer bed. I found ours to lack back support. Personally, it was too soft. (Again this could be a "like" for some.)

Great Location, and at the center of Oro Valley. Clean facility.

The breakfast could have been better. Each day of my 3 day stay, there was something amiss. Frozen OJ one day, food not stocked unless you asked, etc. (plastic utinsils and plates are bad for our landfills)

Breakfast was great! Good variety. Location also great - very close to Catalina State Park.

The room we were first given had a door connecting to the adjacent room. As soon as we walked into the room we could hear people in the next room talking in a normal voice volume. We asked to have a different room and were quickly accommodated.
