Hampton Inn & Suites Scottsdale at Talking Stick

Being close to laundry facilities, being on first floor.

When we entered our room the fragrance was too much for my allergies. The smell was good but was too much for anyone with asthma and allergies. I told the front desk and they gave us a room that hadn't been cleaned, and we waited for it. They told housekeeping to not use fragrance on the floors. That worked much better for us. You might think of this in the future for people's allergies and asthma conditions. Appreciated working with us. We would of had to go somewhere else if Hampton wouldn't of accommodate us. Thanks.

Great value; good breakfast; excellent check in experience

Was charged a $10 "hotel fee" without any notification, despite paying full fee through booking.com. No one verified that I parked there in the first place. I was able to call and have the charge removed; however, needing to do so tainted my experience. Bed was a little hard. The Residence Inn nearby has much softer mattresses, in my experience.

Really, the breakfast is what the kids raved about. I thought it would be the pool, but they loved the breakfast.

We walked into the first 2 rooms and discovered a leaky toilet issue. Those 2 rooms were ajoined, which is what I requested. The desk clerk was very helpful and gave us 2 new rooms, apologized for the inconvenience, however the new rooms were not ajoined. They were next to each other.

The complimentary breakfast was good, nice selection each morning. Room was very quiet. Workout room was good, pool is heated.

Orange juice was empty each morning. The rooms are starting to show their age, could use some makeovers, wall scrapes, plumbing stains. Clean though. Talking stick road has a lot of traffic all night from the resort, get a room on the other side if you can.

Location is near the 101, but no noise whatsoever. Either side of the hotel is quiet. Great views from all rooms. Breakfast area was clean, missing Dark Roast Coffee now. But they had scrambled eggs which is my favorite! Eric at the front desk was excellent! He was very professional and polite. He makes Hampton Inn excellent!

The property was clean and the public areas were well-kept. The free breakfast was nice as was the free parking. It was easy to get in and out of the property.

The rooms themselves, although they had comfortable beds and pillows, were very dreary and need a facelift. We had a refrigerator that was on the floor and all banged up with dents. An old chest of drawers, and dreary dark colors in the room. The rooms definitely need some new furniture and cheery colors. The bathroom is fine.

Room was a great size and very clean and the breakfast had a good variety and the young lady that manages does a excellent job the area is well kept and stocked. When we checked out of the room we had breakfast down stairs and the staff came and found us we had left a usb plug in the room so the staff is very good at inspecting the rooms after you leave. I hadn’t stay here for many years but I can say it hasn’t changed it’s a great hotel!

I didn’t like that I was woke up at 3am with people swimming in the pool.

Breakfast was great! It was very quiet and clean. Easy access to internet. The casino was very close and about 1/2 mile to restaurants. The beds were comfortable as well.

They had my name backwards in their system. So at first they told me they didn't have my reservation and they were booked. I was arguing with them for about 10 minutes until she finally figured it out.

The facilities. This was a short, quiet get away. We were looking for comfortable and relaxing, and that's what we experienced.

We did not understand that this hotel, close to the Talking Stick Resort, was NOT close to the Talking Stick Arena (now the Footprint Center). Our misunderstanding was no fault of the hotel, but it made our relaxing getaway a little less relaxing!

Aside from the slightly gruff desk clerk upon our initial arrival (we were early, rooms not yet ready, comment on the amount of luggage), everyone and everything was outstanding which is always the case with Hampton Inn & other Hilton properties. A different front desk person had our room keys for us upon our return a few hours later and she was the epitome of Hospitality.

As stated above, our initial front desk contact. Perhaps she was having a bad day but she is in the Hospitality Industry. A smile and a greeting to make guests think one is happy they are there would have been nice.
